  • Hello! Here is a little tutorial on how to make a crochet tote with sunburst granny squares! I go over how to crochet a sunburst granny square (including all of the color changes) and how to sew together all of the squares. I hope you enjoy this tutorial! I had a lot of fun making it!
    Materials:
Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in "White": Materials: amzn.to/3lha1w2
    Red Heart Super Saver Yarn
    - Weight: Medium (4)
    - Fiber: 100% Acrylic
Lion Brand Mandala Yarn in "Warlock": amzn.to/3x1QItg
    - Weight: Light (3)
    - Fiber: 100% Acrylic
    Approximate total length: 320 m / 350 yd
    Approximate total weight: 120 g / 4.25 oz
5.0 mm Clover Amour Crochet Hook
    Darning/Tapestry/Yarn Needle
    Scissors
    - Weight: Medium (4)
    - Fiber: 100% Acrylic
    Lion Brand Mandala Yarn
    - Weight: Light (3)
    - Fiber: 100% Acrylic
    Approximate total length: 320 m / 350 yd
    Approximate total weight: 120 g / 4.25 oz
5.0 mm Clover Amour Crochet Hook
    Darning/Tapestry/Yarn Needle
    Scissors
    Project Level:
While this project uses the same pattern for 13 squares, the assembly and sewing can get a little complicated. I do go over every single little thing, so hopefully this tutorial will be helpful!
    Stitches:
    Magic Circle (mc)
    Chain (ch)
    Double Crochet (dc)
    Slip Stitch (sl st)
    Puff Stitch (puff or ps)
    Double Crochet 4 Together (dc4tog)
    Slip Knot (sk)
    Dimensions:
    Granny Square - 9 cm/3.5" square
    Bag - 27 cm/10.5" long x 27 cm/10.5" wide
    Strap - 40 cm/16" long x 1 cm/0.5" wide
    Tips:
    - Carry the loose ends in your stitches so you have less to sew in
    - Tighten your slip stitches to make the seam smaller and less visible
    - The chain 2 at the beginning of each round does NOT count as a double crochet
    - Pull your loose ends to the inside of the tote and weave them in (or leave them hanging!)
Send me a picture of your finished tote on Instagram @viv.crochets! I’d love to see it!
    Thanks for watching!

girllll if u don't make so many random skips during the assembly portion it would be so much easier to understand 😭u could be slip sticking for 5 seconds and make a skip and then I get confused nowhere I was at. especially hard when you turn the project from back to front.

I cannot thank you enough for this tutorial. I knew how to do the sunburst square but your bag construction and how thoroughly and clear your explained it was amazing. I hate seaming and so often these videos are like, '..and just seam it together!' 😒 THANK YOU for taking the time to walk us step by step - I am nearly done and I can't believe I did it.

Hello!!! I'm an absolute beginner at crocheting and I'd love if you could add more amigurumi videos like how to make whales and other cute animals. I only find your channel having really clear instructions that you could follow along with without pausing as much -- other channels move super fast when teaching people how to do amigurumi :( -- so it'd be so wonderful if you could make more videos about amigurumi. Thank you so much for taking the time to explain everything to us though

The colors I'm using is a dark green, light yellow, a greenish blue, light purple/pink, orange, and light green.

What brand of yarn you used? I loved that you explained the chain 2 isn't the first double crochet. Alot of others would often say it's considered that and I use to get so confused. Even when you're ending the circle to join, I use to get so confused but you explained it. Thank you so much for a detailed explanation.
