    Another tip is to cut the bottom of the shower curtain so it just comes below the top of the tub and not hanging in the tub of the shower.

      Definitely agree! Customizing your shower curtain liner to fit your unique shower is definitely a great way to avoid having to scrub away mold.

      Plus it locks in access moisture thats not necessary. Some people believe you need it long to keep the water out, but that’s not true. It keeps to much water in causing the dreaded mold problem. 😵

      Agree! The more water you have on surfaces, the more the mold growth can start!

    Thank u for the tips. I usually cut the curtain horizontally to shorten the length of the curtain but never thought about cutting vertically.

    Another solution is to only shower once a month, or just not shower at all. I never get mold anymore

    I have a PEVA liner and it supposed to resist mold better than PVC but it still grows if your bathroom doesn't have adequate ventilation. I wash mine in a hot water cycle with just a scoop of Oxi-Clean powder. It comes out sparkling clean and smelling fresh!

    • @GetGreenBeWell
      @GetGreenBeWell  Před 6 lety +4

      Sounds great! I don't know about the difference between the PEVA and PVC claims, but yes, no matter what you have, you must have ventilation! So true. Great idea for washing. Sounds like it is a great fix!

    Just fyi, some info/keyword in the summary would be nice.. I listened to this multiple times at max volume to ensure I heard 'pvc' and 'pvea' right. If I am already hard of hearing I am in trouble haha! Thanks for the video!

    Life hack: Pee in the shower! Ever since I started doing this, I don't get mold growing on my shower curtain anymore!
    But peeing in the shower means I can't bathe in there anymore. So I have to bathe in the toilet and now I have all of this mold growing inside the toilet! What do I do??

    What shower curtain you prefer? Cotton fabric one or the polyester one? I don’t wanna use separate liner though. Please advice

    • @GetGreenBeWell
      @GetGreenBeWell  Před 3 lety +2

      I don't mind fabric curtains. You just have to wash them often. I personally use a PEVA plastic shower curtain because it reduces the need for constant washing.

    • @PvtPartzz
      @PvtPartzz Před 2 lety +1

      @@GetGreenBeWell how often would you suggest washing them?

    • @GetGreenBeWell
      @GetGreenBeWell  Před 2 lety +1

      @@PvtPartzz I generally would do everything six months or so. It would depend on your conditions in the bathroom. Might need every three months if you have a moisture problem that is bad.

      If they are PEVA and NOT PVC, then they could be a good alternative.

      Yes, but then it adds to the plastic pollution. That’s what I used to do too, but it’s definitely annoying to buy new ones after a few months.
