    Mad that at 16, its still considered a sub adult and not fully grown

      @@kR-qj7rw cheers for the info. Didn't know about the rub mass being an indicator

      @@glennjackson100 pi I'm a layman too but it's fairly noticeable when you look at sues skeleton
      T rex was fucking massive, this fella rocky was like a tall almost full height teenager with an athletic build
      Tyrannosaurus rex snd other tyrannosaurids were from lanky and fast to athletic and strong to specially in t rex case absolute units in adulthood

    i’m from south dakota and i guess i never really realized dinosaurs could have once existed here specifically… and i’ve lived here my whole life. where the hell have i been 💀

      Dinosaurs existed all over the earth, everywhere. They first show up in the fossil record when Pangaea was still fully connected and ended up on every continent as they broke apart.
      Dinosaurs still exist in South Dakota. Every bird you see is a Dinosaur, a representative of the one family of dinosaurs that managed to survive the rampant Volcanism and Asteroid impact that characterized the KT extinction event. Each one a highly specialized dinosaur.

    You know I don't like the fact that the Jurassic Park moviesbmade people averse to cloning real dinosaurs.

      Fossils don't contain any DNA and even if they did, DNA decays over time so it wouldn't be usable

    • @sorrenblitz805
      @sorrenblitz805 Před 4 měsíci +4

      I can actually shed some light on this. So DNA is very typically not able to be preserved in the fossilization process. Very rarely, some specimens have fragmented structures. Fossilization doesn't really leave anything organic behind, it preserves the molecular structures by filling the space they used to. At best you'll get some highly fragmented copies of the original structure that's basically like looking at cuneiform without a Rosetta stone.

      Fascinating! Though there is also modern crocodilians and there ancestors had trex and dromaeosaur like bipedal forms, like postosuchus, and that other pant eating crocodile line archosaur one with a beak. So you could make a crocosaur or postocrocosuchus. Closest thing to having a trex esc species. Though there’s also birds can make a dromaeosaur like bird with features of the dromaeosaurs, chickendromie or velociquailus
      And for saddle back tortoises and other giant tortoise make sauropod like tortoise
      Saurotordon or brachioturtlus.
