I didn't get to select the time frame before my account got logged out after temporarily deactivating it. I'll still have to reactivate within a month, right? Or after 7 days?
It's automatically logged out before getting to choose the time frame.

EDIT: Ok just did it and it works 👍 It says deletion process will start after 30 days and that I can log in anytime before that to prevent it. I tried to login to test and it showed a confirmation alert if I really wanted to reactivate the account or not.

I "deactivated" (not deleted) my account today, but apparently people can still see it and search for me. Do you know if it takes a few hours/days for it to actually deactivate so that people cannot see my profile??
Yeah exactly, iam facing the same issue for the last 2weeks....I have 2 ig accounts. Apparently i have decided to deactivate my 1st account. Even after the deactivation I can still see the deactivated account from my 2ndaccount. This a new issue that iam facing these days. Don't know if it's a kind of glitch or not....

same issue here, i dont know why this happen, but now i "deleted" and the account deactivated, only deactivating wasnt working
@@mjonez973 It was still showing up after 2 days, so I decided to delete it. I'll reactivate it before the 30 days are up so I don't lose everything, an then probably keep repeating the process.

I deleted, logged back in after 20 days, and was able to immediately deactivate (withou needing to wait the 7 days) about 2 minutes later.

@@talithasafasgt Correct! If you log back in before 30 days (even on the 30th day but i wouldn't risk that), your account won't be deleted. It acts as if it's deactivated for the first 30 days

nah it can also be done on phone. on my iphone i just deactivated my account. rn looks different for me probably cuz of the update. u gotta find it differently
go settings and privacy, accounts centre, personal details, account ownership and control, deactivation or deletion, then press the account in question fucking delete the account if u can’t deactivate anymore bcs u already did it once within 7 days and then after 7 days just log in the same account now the account deletion progress is stopped and u can deactivate it again.

In the account centre it shows to choose reason to delete then says continue. Doesnt show 1 month time to login to discontinue deletion of account.
By mistake i deactivated and activated immediately without realising. So gives me a wait period of 7 days which is annoying. So please tell me if delete option will work ?

it is said in ig help center that you cant deactivate your ac at this time from account center. what the actual shit this is? its been like this for a month i guess. i recevied a mail which said your ac is reactivated right after reactivating.
