- A couple of clips from the weekend of the 20th and 21st of April 2024 with the running of a private charter to Rochester by 707 Operations featuring V/Line's A66 and N471 as well as the groups' own A62, making its' mainline debut in the original V/Line orange and grey livery first applied when rebuilt in the early 1980's.
A62 was included on the train for another mainline test as part of it's ongoing restoration to heritage service and at this stage hasn't been fitted with an ICE radio so couldn't run as lead unit.
Trains seen in order are:
8093- A66, A62 and N471
8096- A66, A62 and N471

66 and 62 are both orange and grey now? That's so awesome.
Yep
The V/Line Orange and Gray A class twins start their journey. They both wear classic orange and gray. A real treat from 707 operations was the return of A62 back to her original livery.
Was kind of hoping for it to keep the VLP Mk2 livery personally, but I'm not complaining about more V/Line orange.
At least it's not VR!
great shot of 66a powering over the rise, cool
Thanks
Fantastic video mate, great to see double Orange and gray A classes again

Thanks
That's the stuff dreams are made of.
Not wrong, hard to go past double tango A's
@@Greensleeves94 my favourite all time loco/livery
nice
Thank you
I preferred them when they were "B" class but I must say they look striking in the Tangerine colour scheme.
Definitely the other way for me, B's are nice but give me the thump of an A working hard any day of the week.
Good to see the pair in tango too, though I was quietly hoping the VLP Mk1/2 would make a comeback on A62.
@@Greensleeves94 "A" class sound like an 81 class, lost the magic of the "B" class Roots blown roar.
@@dieseldavetrains8988 luckily there is still a few B classes kickin around in service. 61, 72 (recently finished of course), 75, 76, 80. Along with 74 preserved
G’day Brad,
Look & sound awesome, back in the 80’s this colour scheme looked awful I remember but now it looks awesome considering how many European muscle cars of the new varieties are in different shades of grey & this grey matches those greys.
Maybe V Line was ahead of the curve by 40 year.
Great sounding video & a proper sounding horn.
Cheers
Louis Kats 👍
Thanks Louis, having grown up with the V/Line livery I always liked it and am certainly glad it's making a return after all this time. Just want to see some of the early private liveries re-appear now with West Coast and Great Northern.
Maybe if I win tattslotto one day...
@@Greensleeves94👍👍
Why the two A classes? In case one breaks down, or just out for a run?
