707 Opperations Y127 and V/line's A66 run a night transfer to Castlemaine Victoria

    A night transfer operated by 707 Operations Victoria saw their yard pilot Y127 With thanks to V/Line (especially James Twining), and the Victorian Department of Transport, the locomotive now wears the orange and grey livery and V/Line logo. The V/Line logo is applied with the permission of both organisations. Along with A66 the run was to transfer the SA Bluebird rail car BM259 to Castlemaine after it was privately sold and will be restored with the help of the VGR (Victorian Goldfields Railway).
    Y127 then ran the train for a trip from Castlemaine to Maldon and return on the 1-11-2021 before heading back to Newport Melbourne.

    Bluebird railcar built Islington workshops. Seated 56-second class passengers.
    4.11.1957 Entered service named Penguin.
    3.1972 Fitted with buffet. Seating reduced to 52-second class passengers
    3.1978 To Australian National Railways.
    5.1984 To standard gauge.
    2.1990 Converted to standard gauge locomotive-hauled car. Reclassified "BM 259".
    1.1991 Converted to broad gauge and painted in red/silver. Engines removed and changes made to baggage section.
    12.1995 Written off and sold to "International Development Services".
    6.1998 Sold to West Coast Railway.
    - Transferred to Victoria. Stored RTS Dynon
