    Many thanks Vince

So helpful...had previously bought a replacement lid before...but wasn’t prepared to shell out loads of money. If only I’d known this before! Thanks so much! Easy peasy!

Thank you so much for posting this we had a spare one given to us when we brought the bin and didn't realise the cap came off after 2 hours trying to find out how to get it off and thinking of getting a new Bin. I headed to CZcams and found your video and loved the step by step video cap came off in a second. You have saved me from getting a new bin. Liked and thumbs up. Many thanks.

Thanks Muchly! The springs fell out and i spent at least a few hours experimenting on several occasions (Curver seems likely to have done this on purpose so people keep buying new bins), this video solved it within 2 minutes... oh, the intricacies of the mechanics of movement!!

Very helpful, but why not show the other side as well ? It’s called the striker plate… if that gets broken, then changing the catch won’t fix the problem

When I took mine out I noticed it was just dirty and wasn’t springing back properly. Just gave it a wipe and a squirt of wd40. All good since. Worth seeing the state of the catch before ordering a new one. Also, my design was slightly different and the catch needed to be pushed out from behind, there was no cover... You just push it back in afterwards and clicks in place.

Great helful video but unfortunately our bin lid has a different design and the cover doesn't come off. The old catch pushed out easily enough but is a different size from the one we bought. No complaints as the part only cost a couple of £, well worth the attempt, but be aware!
