I recently had surgery in my mouth which prevents me from speaking for the next 2 weeks. This feature couldn’t have arrived at a better time.

Did you get any dissolve stitches. I got lamb intestines dissolvable stitches in my eye lid when I had plastic surgery from a car accident.
I havent even started recording, it just shows setting up session 0 percent whenever i continue recording
U need A17 chip to do that and A17 starts from atleast iphone 15
No. You just to let your phone locked while charging. You gotta leave it like that for hours.
@@AymenFri i mean when i make a voice, it just says setting up session and after waiting for an hour, it says check wifi settings ios needs to download 244 mb. When i click wifi settings, the voice thing is gone and i have to repeat whole step and my recording never starts. 150 phrases remain
@@robloxworld9217 No see I had this issue. It’ll take time for your phone to load the phrases that it’ll give it to you to read them. Just let it, it’ll take 2 or 3 days to be ready
Go to "Siri & Search" in Settings, and disable "Press Side Button for Siri". Re-enable it and then restart your device. That fixed it for me!

i have a iphone xr and updated to ios 17 but i think we dont have it since the iphone 15 has the A17 and we have A16 or A15 i think

I ate up my voice and selected it for live speech, but it somehow still decides to use the classic voice and not my one

Mine failed to process because I ran out of storage. I still have all the exported audio clips. Anyone figured out how to import a voice file folder yet?
Edit... After another night of being plugged in and having the screen off it finished processing. Sounds kinda janky but it's working.

I did this last night. It still sounds like regular Siri.
Probably because you didn’t actually set it to your voice. The video doesn’t say to do that. But that’s what you have to do

My phone locked everytime i tripple tap the side button. How do i fix this?

i have an iphone SE, and the personal voice feature is not showing up. does it not work with my phone? i have ios 17.2
It only works on iPhone 12 and up
It works on se 3 but maybe not 2
I wish I wasn't visually impaired so I could do this. I know it's probably not for a practical sense, but I find it to be kind of cool.
If you're a VoiceOver user you can set up your personal voice, it is quite accessible, though I would recommend you wear headphones when you're setting it up for best results.
@@Lachlant1984 it was a bitch to do, but I was able to create it after waiting about 12 hours to download. After seeing it's true purpose, I'm rather disappointed that you can't use it for voiceover. However, I did call Apple and give them that idea. I would honestly love to have people contribute their own voices to voiceover for possible improvement ideas. I think it's about time that those of us who are not just blind or visually impaired, but using it for other reasons, were given a chance to give their opinions on this.
My personal voice is ready and set up but when I type words its quiet. How do I fix this. I can use one of the standards voices just not mine
For me it’s the normal Siri talking instead of my voice

Takes longer than 15 minutes
Took me like an hour… and 3 nights to generate the voice for some reason even though I was charging every night. And voice of course doesn’t work after selecting it, only the horrible default siri voice or whatever
This has gotta be one of the worst apps Apple has made, the idea seems ok but it's very hit and miss, I did mine 2 days ago but still not processed yet, and reading this it seems loads of you having the same issue.
