Childe is a very amazing character. He has one of the best teams in the game, and also has a very satisfying playstyle. And the best thing about him is, the more and more characters came out, the more team options for him. He has so many viable teams that you will never get bored of playing him because you will get to try so many new team combinations and playstyles.

When Dendro was introduced, I was using MC!Dendro with Childe, Thoma and Kokomi…It was crazy how Burgeon worked with this team, but I’ve been using Childe and Thoma together since 2.2, so seeing people being a little flexible to have them in a Burgeon team makes me happy.
I love playing Thoma and Childe together too. The only problem is that they look too much alike, so I have to separate their slots so I stop mistaking them for one another (playing on mobile).

I highly recommend a freeze/bloom comp. I use Childe with Rosaria, Dendro MC and Kazuha. It’s so incredibly satisfying and overpowered. I’ve played him in every other team comp possible and this is by far my favourite, it made me start using Childe again. If you have him, just please try it, it’s so worth it!!
@@cigarafterkiss Only ones I stacked EM on was Kazuha (obvs) and DMC, my team is far from perfection, Kazuha has 1k EM and DMC is about 500. Still farming the new dendro set lol

i just got him a few days ago 🙂 Really loving his playstyle after taking him for a spin in the overworld to get used to him. He's lvl. 65 now. i have him on Nymph set with Aqua Simulacra. Hopefully he will be abyss-ready soon!
Its crazy to think he was released way back 1.1 the team who developed his kit did an excellent job. His playstyle still being loved several patches later means they were able to create a kit that ages like fine wine.
Dunno. His kit are trash tho. And I'm saying this as his fan. Number are good but the mechanic and synergy are all over the place. I mean passive of +1 for AA talent? Really?
@@ancy1205 at least the passive isn’t something useless in combat like every other characters third passive. It can help kazuha since he does a lot of plunge damage and also increase the riptide damage a bit
@@ancy1205 His passive is great for characters like him, Ganyu, Ayato, Kazuha, Nilou. Basically every character who can deal dmg with the basic attack, plunging attack or charged attack. It's useful in combat. I mean, better than having some mora refund when crafting some weapons for example

The most valuable resource in the game? Or the passive that help you on the overworld which is 90% of your ghenshin gameplay? That also count on his other passive. Extend his riptide duration to 8 second?? For what? when you are gonna trigger it for the next 0.5 second anyway ? All in all, he has one single passive.
@@ancy1205 You missed the point where the passive has to be related to the character in some way. Childe has mastered every weapon in game except for the bow, which he's trying to master. So his passive enhances the attack you use with each weapon. We will never have a passive that allows to save resin, because resin in the game lore simply doesn't exist! Plus, Nilou can play with Childe and so can Al Haitham, so his passive is actually quite useful. The riptide passive is actually very useful if you know how to use him. You trigger it ONCE EVERY 0.5s. Not just for 0.5s what are you even talking about

I typically use taser or freeze team comps but if the enemy is too tough, I switch to international comp. It doesn't matter how strong the enemy is, Childe halves their HP in an instant then Xiangling does the rest. They're such a good combo!
I just got him and I'm loving his riptide mechanic!! He is so flexible he can slot into any teams, seeing so many numbers popping off from the riptide is so darn satisfying!! 😍

got him back on his second rerun which was an absolute blessing! now i finally got polar star too so i started using him more once again and needed team inspiration 🙏🏻

I've been waiting for his rerun since I started playing back in 2.3, and managed to get him C1! Before him, I mainly used Ayato in freeze and national, so my teams for him are very well built and have been a lot of fun to play with a new hydro dps to enjoy! I really appreciate this video and will try some of the teams, but why is it that every Childe showcase gets tons of comments about how they don't have him and prefer other units anyway? Why watch this showcase then? I am glad they give this video views, but I always found it kind of annoying.
Until yesterday, I used to play Heizou for his aoe swirl effect. But now, I can cause freaking chain-reactions, both riptide and swirl. You see only 2 marks on enemy, and after hit, foe explodes with anemo,hydro-swirled, riptide damage. Pure satisfaction, Venti's burst alike.
Thank you for making an updated guide Sevy! When dendro was released, i was so happy to find out that Childe has great synergy with it and got so many dendro teams. Ngl i was bummed a bit that he was rarely mentioned in bloom-related comp guides as the hydro applicator (usually it's xinqiu, yelan or kokomi) when he's still the strongest hydro applicator in the game. Hoping that this updated guide will prove to the player base that he's STILL VERY META and will continue to be future proof as we get more patches (unless Hoyo comes up with an anti-Childe mechanic).
That Burgeon team looks really fun. Maybe having Yelan, Ayato, and Xingqui is not enough for me xD But i think i will be lazy to death to swap Thoma's artifact tho. As I usually use him as a shielder.

Sevyy i should thank you for this video especifclly because i was to stuck on team comps and blind in how i could use beidou in internacional team and put together both of my favorite chars. Even if it means to put my kazuha on hold, or how a mix taser could work with kazuha and beidou, this issue is mainly because im having trouble on witch dps to choose, most of then i've lost interest and Childe was my first 5star for that and the similarities he has with Hisoka (HxH) u can imagine how happy i am to know that i just need to stop be such an ansious person and reeealy get some good artifacts for him. I got stupid lucky on this banner. Literal first pull was him (not at pity, won 50/50). I put in two more ten pulls hoping for Layla, only to pull him again! Then put a ten pull on standard and got Keqing. I can't be mad, Tartaglia's C1 seems pretty damn useful honestly.

Been a Childe main ever since his very first banner and throughout the subsequent versions all my teams were built around him (may it be Childe DPS or Burst) and my friends would ask me why I main him, I simply say because he is by far the easiest character for me to play (despite them insisting his dual wield is a harder playstyle).

My Childe burgeon consists of Childe + Nahida + Bennet + Kazuha, works so satisfyingly. You can also do Venti instead of Kazuha for maximum quadratic scaling damage

But i had to settle with rust r3 for the most part (pulled in his weapon banner 10 a qeek for 3 weeks and got rust 3x) until i bought viridsecent months ago to help with his crit. Now i got his polar for just 30 pulls and kinda facepalmed why i bought vh. Lmao
Ayato is more simple for mobile gamers or people who just want straight forward game play. Childe is more strategic but ultimately you can get a huge adrenaline rush with Childe, unlike any other character. Ultimately more rewarding to use.
N5C isn't recommended anymore. His scaling on charged attack is just too good. (This is from someone who said N5C was good on the KQM discord, and got corrected by the person who made the cheatsheet for him)
My current team with childe is raiden childe bennet xaingling it is so good for mobs exploration and deal high damage i am currently waiting for nahida rerun in 6 days and kazuha estimated 3.8
For world explore i just use childe, kuki, kazuha and albedo. Its pretty fun. I would've use beido but kuki has healing and beido takes longer for her burst. Just so many option for tartar boy. Im always changing things around.
I personally havent played with childe freeze cuz i found his dmg shines best with vape but with the freeze team example in this video i might just try it. It looks fun
Im currently building my new team for sumeru wich is Childe Thoma Kuki and Tighnari I always use tighnari's skill to group up enemies and shoot the arrows next i use shinobu's skill and i let a rip with childe's riptide for a few seconds and set off burgeon/overload with thoma When thoma's burst is on i use it and kuki's skill and then send in childe to aplly vaporize/electro charged
I'm watching this cause I did 3 single pulls trying to get a rust so I could R5 my rust for Yoimiya, and Polar star just appeared. then I got a fav sword or flute and gave up on the rust lmao. this feels like a brag because it is. I wanna be humble but I'm hella proud I got this boy forever ago and now his bow lol.

Got him C6 last week. All it took was a year and a half of saving and the most extreme luck ever. Now I just gotta learn how to play it

Childe is the first character I ever decided to really invest into, and I've never regretted it. He only gets better as the game goes on.

ive had childe for quite a while and hes insanely restrictive to play bc of his cooldown but hes also on of the most versatioe and fun characters to play once u get aeounds his tedius cooldown mechanic
Sevyy i should thank you for this video especifclly because i was to stuck on team comps and blind in how i could use beidou in internacional team and put together both of my favorite chars. Even if it means to put my kazuha on hold, or how a mix taser could work with kazuha and beidou, this issue is mainly because im having trouble on witch dps to choose, most of then i've lost interest and Childe was my first 5star for that and the similarities he has with Hisoka (HxH) u can imagine how happy i am to know that i just need to stop be such an ansious person and reeealy get some good artifacts for him. I was planning on Yae's banner to try and get Layla, but you've convinced me to pull on Childe's banner 🥰
I got stupid lucky on this banner. Literal first pull was him (not at pity, won 50/50). I put in two more ten pulls hoping for Layla, only to pull him again! Then put a ten pull on standard and got Keqing. I can't be mad, Tartaglia's C1 seems pretty damn useful honestly.
Including how to play a rotation, in the Intergrassional 14:20 , was VERY helpful and I wish more guides had this.

Another great guide Sevy! So happy I've just got a Polar Star for my Tart, one of my favorite characters to play, his riptides are very satisfying, if only I could get a crit dmg hat for the HOD set now he would be complete
Been a Childe main ever since his very first banner and throughout the subsequent versions all my teams were built around him (may it be Childe DPS or Burst) and my friends would ask me why I main him, I simply say because he is by far the easiest character for me to play (despite them insisting his dual wield is a harder playstyle).
really nice video!!! i love videos that show off fun teams, also i tried intergrassional with dendroMC and it wasnt hard to avoid her burst from infusing pyro and exploding, i used childe's aim shot to infuse the flower

I loveee childe so much. I run him with nahida and beidou the most and it does lotss if elemental damage.
My Childe burgeon consists of Childe + Nahida + Bennet + Kazuha, works so satisfyingly. You can also do Venti instead of Kazuha for maximum quadratic scaling damage

@@zaamassuu i got childe since his rerun last year. I began my joutney august 15 and i got him for 21 pity. But i had to settle with rust r3 for the most part (pulled in his weapon banner 10 a qeek for 3 weeks and got rust 3x) until i bought viridsecent months ago to help with his crit. Now i got his polar for just 30 pulls and kinda facepalmed why i bought vh. Lmao

Ayato is more simple for mobile gamers or people who just want straight forward game play. Childe is more strategic but ultimately you can get a huge adrenaline rush with Childe, unlike any other character. Ultimately more rewarding to use.

His scaling on charged attack is just too good. (This is from someone who said N5C was good on the KQM discord, and got corrected by the person who made the cheatsheet for him)

My current team with childe is raiden childe bennet xaingling it is so good for mobs exploration and deal high damage i am currently waiting for nahida rerun in 6 days and kazuha estimated 3.8

My favourite Childe team is a team which has Childe in it
For world explore i just use childe, kuki, kazuha and albedo. Its pretty fun. I would've use beido but kuki has healing and beido takes longer for her burst. Just so many option for tartar boy. Im always changing things around.
I personally havent played with childe freeze cuz i found his dmg shines best with vape but with the freeze team example in this video i might just try it. It looks fun

I always use tighnari's skill to group up enemies and shoot the arrows next i use shinobu's skill and i let a rip with childe's riptide for a few seconds and set off burgeon/overload with thoma
When thoma's burst is on i use it and kuki's skill and then send in childe to aplly vaporize/electro charged
I'm watching this cause I did 3 single pulls trying to get a rust so I could R5 my rust for Yoimiya, and Polar star just appeared. then I got a fav sword or flute and gave up on the rust lmao. this feels like a brag because it is. I wanna be humble but I'm hella proud I got this boy forever ago and now his bow lol.

Legit got him c1 and I now main him. Vaporize and electro charge seems best for him. One anemo character is a must venti,sucrose or kazuha is best.
