I rented the unit. Never drilled before except with a hammer drill.
Drilled 6 6” holes in no time and exactly where I wanted. Short learning curve, feels safe to use especially when you discover the clutch kicks in smoothly and at manageable load. I would let my wife use it.

This machine is the best drill that I have to use.On has acquired 1 and frankly it is the top of the top .1 carrot of 25cm in 10min. There's nothing better. Thanks to allemends and bravo to the Americans for the system.

You need a splash guard wet dry vacuum accessory to contain over flow of the water. That's always a challenge when ever we core in existing spaces with carpets n stuff. It can really complicates things.
We sell Kor-It slurry rings that are very helpful.
Need a second technician to operate a wet vac, and suck up all the water.

Я сверлю китайским установками.
Есть ручная дрель, можно снять приклад, и протиснуться с коронкой в узком месте.
Но большая установка на станине всё равно быстрее.
Одна установка DongCheng Z1Z ff2-250 проработала полтора года, и ещё на ходу.
Сразу подшипники поменял на хорошие.
Ну и вторую новую такую же купил.

A salesmen pitched this to the company my brother and i worked for, As he was drilling he broke the core of before it was all the way through. He asked the sales guy what now and that was the end of it. This a cool system but its dependent on the anchor completly, It's common for cores to break due to mooning rebar or cutting tie wire and getting jammed up.
still can be a great for tight space and up high i think. one time it take us 2 guys several hour to set up a core drill. we have to take the drill apart and assembly them back together up high 10 ft in the tight spot in the ceiling.
I wonder if I can modify my Harbor Freight oscillating tool to do the same thing.

What happens if the core snaps after the anchor depth, and before you’re through the slab?
Well you fucked then.... What I would do I re attache a smaller core than the inside diameter and drill a ll the way through then use a chissle to remove the thin layer or cement around the inner surface of the broken cutter. At this point you weld a puller to the broken coring tool and pull. Then finish the job.
But in all likelihood the tube of the cutter is far less likely than the union between the tube and the shaft it connects to.

you didn't show, , bad camera shot, when cutting down, Wont the hole rig just drop once it penetrates the other side smashing it into the upper surface of the surface you just cut? if the operator was not expecting it to penetrate at that moment, if they are holding on to the rig, depending of the weight of the core of course, could they not do some serious harm to their back when it drops, pulling them down suddenly with the rig ? other than that, it is a great looking tool.

I cannot get into the idea of a Angle Grinder running this bore. The adapter would have to have insane gear reductions. Although I do see a Metabo Grinder being used. That is definately a plus.

Very nice tool.
It seems this system could lack in torque compared to others due to being angle driven. I get the concept and that it has a better clearing radius.. But I am very curious to see how this system would hold up in really bad binding.

A Metabo mill and a simple metal converter with a single $ 4,200 bit do not seem too expensive, although it has become easier to increase the price. This is not fair.
It's more of a complex innovative system to why the price is higher, we also manufacture in the states. Sorry you feel this is over priced.

If the exact depth of a floor slab is not known. How do you stop the drill from over drilling?
just pull out pieces by pieces
Floor slabs are usually 3"-5"

Xavier Ancarno not really after pumping concrete for many years they add stuff into the concrete that will slow the bit cover the diamonds and eventually lock up the bit it's in the concrete mix most modern banks have shredded Steel along with ball bearings and rebar all around
Could this be used for wood? I trying to find an easy way to make birdhouses in trees similar to a woodpecker :)
I wouldn't drill them too deep and remove the excess wood with an SDS bit sharpened to a chisel, mounted on a rotary hammer drill.
I would plug the hole with a circular cap hammered into it, with an appropriately sized hole for the birds.
