By all accounts, not the finest way to cap off the series, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless and I want to thank you all dearly for letting me know just how much you’ve enjoyed this particular trip. The thing about pancakes is that you can make them as dense as you want so you really don't know how much food it is until you start eating. Definitely one of the hardest foods to get challenged on.

Man, I swear those pancakes kept regenerating! When you would take one off, it looked like the size did not diminish! Insane.
The sheer weight of the pancakes on top were crushing the ones on the bottom. Once they were removed, the pancakes on the bottom expanded again :P

I bet you $100 they increased the pancakes they normally use. You heard the guy, each time they talked about the weight after he showed confidence beforehand, the weight would go up. It started at 6 lbs, then went to 8 lbs, then to 10 lbs, and I bet they fucking brought out 11 or 12 damn lbs. They gage the confidence of their challengers. Watch out for those kind of restaurants, they're BS!!

The most impressive thing is how good those pancakes look for their size, not a spec of burn and not undercooked in the center.

Once the pancake was chopped up you could really see how much was there. And that was halfway through. Just imagine how daunting it would have look if we could see the whole stack chopped up. Crazy.

From the looks of it, you got basically 3x the pancake mass as the other videos I've seen of this challenge. Maybe they ramped it up for you, but holy hell, that other video looks like a quarter of the size

I really liked the 16 pancake stack challenge you had in the UK, there was at least a bit more variety in texture & flavor.

They changed the challenge from being just 6 lbs to 10 lbs for just him. They are overly nice because they are guilty from cheating him out of a win. He would have had it if it was the standard 6 lb plates that were given to every other contestant. Look them up - all the others that state the weight/size say 6 lbs

Those pancakes look WAY bigger/thicker than in the other videos I've seen from this same challenge.
10lbs is 10lbs no matter how much bigger or denser they are. There could have been just one big 10lb pancake and it would be the same thing.

I live in Fort Worth and love Ol’South. Never forget…everything is bigger in TX and everything is bigger at Ol’ South.
Since the restaurant staff were so unsure about what the actual size/quantity of pancakes were... It makes me wonder if Beard got a much bigger challenge than others have tried. But what I love is that Beard just laughed it off... 6lbs... 8lbs... 10lbs... God, I hope not. And then didn't make any excuses when he couldn't finish it. Respect.
Not really an excuse to have an extra 2/3 of the total amount of food added on extra and having to eat 4lbs more than everyone else did

Of all the challenges I've watched on this channel. This one feels like it gets modified with each guest. They knew he was a serious contender so they made it absolutely impossible for him. However he still sat down in the chair and gave an awesome effort.
Someone named SteveTheRabbit did the same challenge a year ago and his pancakes look completely different. Plus the restaurant's website says 6lbs but the people in the video say 10lbs. Very fishy.

I think this is one where you need to go in anon and then have a couple of friends with you 1) to start filming it with phone like it is a lark and then 2) to come in after pancakes arrive and then set up the real camera. I think once they figured out you were a serious contender than the amount of pancakes went up substantially.
Same with the hard rock hotel kitchen sink challenge when they gave him way more than advertised because they knew he was a professional eater total low blow sore loser move on their part man is a champ in my book

Y'all know if Mr. Beard comes no where near finishing like this, it's either a impossible challenge or they changed it specifically because he was doing it. Pancakes are so easy to cheat when making them because you add some more batter, and they Pancakes can be the same size, but way thicker.
This is the first challenge I have ever seen him loose. And definitely would not have expected there to be so much left!

Despite the stereotypes. Texas has some very friendly people. People just don’t know or just don’t want to admit it. I think it’s the pride thing. Texans are really proud of their state and excited to show you Texas, so tend to be welcoming. The pride isn’t about political or social issues as so many seem to think. It’s about the food, the music, the landscapes, the peoples, and the cultures. We get excited to see visitors.

Funny how everyone reverts back into a child when they refuse to eat anymore. What i mean is we all play with our food, push it around the plate to one side or the other, and the old spread out technique 😂, where you push your vegetables all over the plate to make it look like you ate some😂, i noticed how much at the end there was piles of crumbled pancakes all over the plate, and getting pushed around like a fork bulldozer in a sandbox 😂
