They dont want to be compared to Led Zeppelin bur almost every song has Zeppelin chord progressions, tempo, vocal inflections. I love this band dont get me wrong. Im glad some bands are still playing classic style rock..
While Led Zeppelin did lift parts from the songs that influenced them, they did an incredible job recontextualizing the blues and folk in a hard rock format that was groundbreaking for the time. GVF just sounds like a general amalgamation of 70's rock, and if that's your thing look no further. I just would never bother listening to them when I can just listen to the original wave of hard rock artists.
@@garretriely3915 But if you really would have listened to GVF you would know that most of their songs wouldn't even be classed as rock really. In their first EP, while i like the songs very much i do get the zeppelin vibes. Their later albums however, dont remind me of zeppelin like AT ALL. Saw them in Oslo at a festival a couple of weeks ago and they were awesome!
