even Riot forgets that Kai'sa is supposed to have a symbionte suit
It sucks so much here because ink shadow is such a good concept line for a symbiotic suit
@@penjamin1479 pretty sure that’s literally the lore behind the skin too, they just don’t follow through on the concepts normally
I think would be better for all of us if we thinking her character as an edgy tony stark that use a biomec suit and forget about the lore, like Riot does
The lore for the skin does imply the symbiote suit, but the actual skin is more like "shoulder thingis hanging around"
oh my god, can we get over this already? The suit is a tool. She KILLED anything resembling it being it's own creature and is basically using it's corpse as a tool, a weapon to survive.
It's funny how everybody is constantly saying "Riot forgot it was supposed to be a symbiote suit" yet riot CLEARLY never actually wanted it to be a venom situation, which everybody is saying they did. There is no personality, it's not it's own creature. It's an extension of herself at this point. There is nothing there to work with that wasn't already accomplished with her base skin. if every single skin "forgets" that aspect of the character, MAYBE THAT "aspect" of her character was what /you/ wanted to see and not what THEY wanted to portray.

Is it just me or do most Kai Sa skins just "Give up" and put her in streetwear instead of giving her a cool fullbody suit?

I really wish they’d just make more experimental skins on the popular female champs again, like did Kaisa really need another streetware/fashion skin? But I guess in the end they just sell well
I mean arcade kaisa stinks, and the only streetwear/fashion skins she has are KDA, so...sure why not?
@@Ilyak1986 they wanna sell sexy skins and shes already in a skintight symbiote outfit. so why not keep her skin tight and make it look like the tattoos are covering her body entirely but leaving exposed skin in face, neck like the original? I think the design would have been way slicker like that. and only in red and black.

The symbiote once again gets shafted providing more proof that regardless of her lore all kai-sa is, is a spandex model. She isn't a void tainted survivor, or a warrior, she is a model in a sexy skin tight get-up. Her exicusion is just as bad as all the old school female champs all being strippers in Halloween costumes.
Skin lines are LITERALLY alternate universes. No duh it's going to change with ever iteration to fit THAT universe. Her lore doesn't freaking matter.
@@kyubikitsunae3987 every skin line changes the _context_ of a champ, not foundational aspects of their character.
And Kiasa having a dangerous weapon graphed to her skin is pretty foundational to her as a character, as seen by Bullet Angel(her best skin).
And in a skinning based around otherworldly powers gifting magic through tattoos, she should be a shoe in as it works really well her. Yet the focus of the skin is more on the mask and horns than the actual tattoo that give her the powers.

@@kyubikitsunae3987as an outsider looking in it seems like her being a streetwear model is canon and the symbiote is the cool alternate universe that the fans use in fanfiction. I don't think that's what they do with the rest of the characters, since they usually use the lore as a base.
If we believe, someday Riot will remember Yone's mask is part of his design and do stuff with it in the skins

She doesn't need to. Skins exist to spice up the fantasy of a champion. I'd frankly be quite bored if all her skins were basically the same fantasy in different settings. Just look at Jhin. They literally did several variations of "demon painter" and it got boring as hell.

it was really weird seeing the kaisa skin, and without looking at the skin name or who it's for, I actually thought it was for evelynn because of the horns and composition.

I like that the colors are diifferent for each champ but most of them still have that triple magatama detail, and the calligraphy strokes are very nice touches
Kaisa have some kinda deep story with master yi in this skinline, imagine having next part of the skin with Kassadin as the Legendary one, with his lore looking for Kaisa, think kinda dope imagining Kassadin E and Ult is a ink splashing around the area and some new idle move

The thing with Kai'sa is that for her to do a good job with the skin like, the symbiote should be the tattoos. Like, body painted Kai'sa and if the symbiote recedes around her body, her body reappears. The way they present her, nobody would even believe she goes in a symbiotic suit.
What are kai'sa's shoulder things supposed to be in the context of this skin line??

Is there going to be any particular insight into Aurelion‘s Design in this skinline? Since most of the skins do what they set out to do really well but personally, Aurelion‘s skin looks a bit slapped together, like they had an idea but didn‘t actually manage to make it look proper
I couldn't help but notice the lack of Spirit Blossom Sett and Aphelios shorts, mr. Skyen
Other then Lunar beast Kai'sa and blue blob Aurelion, this skinline is fantastic

I feel like this is best used on characters that show alot of skin, like its less bait for the next dommy mommy wifu and "oh look at my tattoos! Im gonna show them of because im a tough guy or im proving myself to the group!" It makes it feel much more purposeful.
I wish the Volibear skin was for Rengar, he would fit nicely for this skin line and Rengar haven't gotten new skin in awhile.

Get said power. They could have also added more ink on his arms in general, or as he levels up more ink appears on his abilities. This is a person opinion tho.

Its one of the better skinlines imo. But I still miss the old "one off" concept skins for characters specifically that didnt belong to a skinline, just a cool fitting concept on its own
The thing that bugs me about this skin line is how BloodMoon Jhin had this ink+strong colors aesthetic way before. I feel they did him dirty.

I find it hilarious whenever Kai'sa has a skin in a line its always "and then there's kai'sa, it could have been better but it isnt". Such a shame they rarely work around the void aspects of her design

A big issue I personally have is that, like you, I find myself being too critical of things all the time. Trying to cut back on the negativity and focus on the positives but its hard to just stop doing the habit of a lifetime.
Riot never cared for Kai sai’s other half which is the suit.
They look good, but I am an absolute sucker for lingering ink effects and I am sad that at least during the recall they didnt utilize that.
Makes it feel less "ink" and more "shadow" feeling for me, and that is sad, because I ADORE the flowing watercolour ink style.
