I don't have favorites but I love Heze and Hosanna. Both beautiful inside and out, as all the children are, but they have an extra special soul being the 2 oldest. Their care, patience, love, and intelligence makes them great shepherds for the little ones. That's a lot of pressure and responsibility but they handle it extremely well. Their family dynamic would not be the same without the secondary leadership they have under Tim and Ella, big reason why you guys are my fave CZcams family. Much peace and many blessings! 💗

I think the way you work together as a couple is why your children are so loving. First, you love each other, don't ever lose that. That love spills onto your children. You do everything as a team. You know your children's personalities and you incorporate that into the discipline. You don't humiliate them but give the rationale for correcting their behavior. It is so clear because Hezzie was able to explain it. From the first to the last. Great parenting and teamwork. Enjoy your family and thank you for sharing these moments.

This was an excellent episode! I love seeing how Tim and Ella manage their household and caring for their large family. The teaching moments discussion was great to see. Lastly, Harper looked like a proper lady when she greeted us! Definitely made me smile, as do all of the Grimwade videos. ❤️

When kids have attentive, conscientious and loving parents like a Tim and Ella, the kids are inclined to want to do the right thing and behave responsibly. They crave positive feedback from their parents, as they want to be seen as good people in their parents eyes and make them proud. Fathers are especially important in raising and disciplining children, as Ella has stated. Not that mothers aren’t looked up to, but kids look up to dad’s not just because of their physical strength, but their mental strength as well, and their ability to reason things out in a thoughtful and consequential way. Father’s teach their kids critical thinking skills. I see the dedicated work both Tim and Ella have put into the molding of each child. And each of them is a beautiful work in progress. Kudos! 💕

I love that you mentioned no shouting. I know its impossible to not always feel the need to but I remember how it made me feel as a kid. My mom told me "it's not what you say but how you say it".

Me too. I think he doesn't really understand that it is an accident by him. He did not squeeze it on the carpet, as it just happened. That is why he kept saying he did not do it. These kids are some amazing individuals.

Tim that teaching discipline was spot on. Your patients and your kind instruction on teaching little Rue the correct way to tell the truth. So often I find parents so quick on the rebuke discipline but no teaching. I love the acknowledgement from Ella on how you two work as a team and how it may not get done if there is just one parent who is tired and overburden with other duties, spot on Ella. Your example on how you put the work into the first two children so that they would be a good example to the others is something that we older school teachers used, we would find the leader in the classroom get them to understand the classroom rules and on our side to be a good example to the rest of the class. Rue! Was telling the truth, it fell on the floor. The question? To Rue, was did "YOU", put it on the floor? he didn't physically, put It on the floor, it fell.. So, technical he was telling "HIS" truth... Now, you know he was responsible for it beening on the floor... He Brilliant and have a deeper meaning of the question you asked him... Very, smart... “It fell on the floor?” That was not filmed so one would have to believe that when the little plastic tube passively “fell” on the carpet, somehow through the force of the fall, the Carmex was squeezed out of the tube. That’s a lot of mental maneuvering.
Dad did a great job of instilling truth-telling and responsibility for Rue’s actions. He also emphasized that it was an accident. Children need to learn this in small things so when they’re adults they take responsibility and don’t attribute to other people or things their own actions. Dad helped Rue learn the lesson painlessly. Bravo! In today’s culture especially, this will have to be relearned.
Momma Awareness PS. Actually Rue called to Daddy at the beginning and said, “Put Carmex on the floor” (carpet)....so he acknowledged the action with “put” not “fell.” Then he resisted owning the action when questioned which both children and adults sometimes choose to do. He’s definitely learning at a young age.

What a great dad? Teaching truth telling to his young son in a loving way. Let other men and women see how to discipline their children with love. You don’t have to whip your children every time they do something wrong. Whipping should be banned. He did not put down his son curse at him or destroy his self esteem. Do your best, it will pay off. So instantly as a child, I associated accidents/mistakes with painful consequences which led me to neverrrrrr tell the truth in situations like this because I was scared of getting hit.

The devil really is in the detail when it comes to parenting. I cant let things go either. People might think it's constant correction, but that's what children need! If you don't correct the small issues, the bigger those issues will get.

Teachable moments are extremely important to children. If one waits to punish later, they will probably have forgotten why they’re being punished. 🙏🏼

Reu is so funny he makes me laugh every time 😂😂. Bringing your children up in the 'right' way is extremely important. They are a reflection of you and it's very important to make that example. Don't mean to sound a certain way but being black or mixed race people assume you are going to be in trouble with the law. My husband and I brought up our son's to be very honest in life no matter what. When they were little we would have the same thing you had with Reu in this video and even though it was funny at times we couldn't allow them to see we thought it was funny and would continue with the learning. My sons are grown now. When they were younger we never allowed them to play out with their friends. Harsh, maybe so, but all the friends they wanted to play out with we have heard a majority of them have been in prison for crimes. Our sons tell us that they are very grateful for the upbringing they had but when they were young they didn't understand what we were doing. Now they are grown, they see, if we had allowed them to live the life their friends were living they too would have a criminal record. A few months ago, one of my youngest school friend saw him and made the comment " I thought you would have been inside, but because of the parents you have, I wasn't sure" my son came home and said he didn't know how to take the comment but he told him he has a lot to thank his parents for! My son has travelled to so many countries due to his work and has a nice life. But because he's black they think he must be doing something illegal! Both my sons went to university and got good grades and made them work.! Discipline is very important. For you guys, you're amazing and so are your kids. I know people will look at them and say "they have good parents"! Anyway guys, take care and keep up the good work. 😊👋😘❤

I love the family: I care about this family as if they are mine. I will like for them to get all the education they can get because it is a dog-eat-dog in society. I want them to get all the education (,home taught, public, or private) they can get to deal with society. What about school dances (promos, ring dances), etc. Maybe Heza might earn a scholarship for "foot ball". Just make sure they are on there correct levels. I want these kids to be all they can be in life. It is a jungle out there in the real world. Over all, youhave a lovely family li y.

Well mannered children! The world needs more of this. + although my children are grown and flown the coop, I still make 2 meals at a time. It makes my life easier. When I make chilie for example I make 2 large pots and freeze ( or two meat loafs, they freeze well ) ….. An excellent job raising your children Mr and Mrs Grimwade.

Omg. You two are naturals at parenting. You've demonstrated modeling, role playing, positive reinforcement and all the other techniques that we used to suggest in dealing with pre school children. And sweet Hosanna and Halle were there to model and reinforce too. Most of all it is time consuming to teach those things. You just can't tell kids to stop it or shut up and expect for them to learn good behavior. Y'all need to teach a class! Love you all ❤
I love how respectfully the parents talk to their children, if they want to interrupt their conversation they always politely say "excuse me". Kids really learn watching their parents!!
