    Had top end units in Sony, Marantz, Onkyo brands. Denon is the only one that has performed over time for me. I won’t be getting any other than Denon in future years.

    Just go for the Denon X2800h DAB Black because should now be able to get it for a good price as its been out for over a year. All the rest are old sets and this is out of date.

    Your top pick Denon X2700H is no longer available, lol. Perhaps the Denon AVR X2800H would be a better choice. The Marantz models are the big brother to the Denon brands and share many components. Both brands have models below and above this group you have put in your list. The Denon "S" models are the least desirable of the Denon products. Onkyo is ok but cheap speaker connections and other qualities. Yamaha has been the most dependable and problematic while Denons occasionally have HDMI board issues. I love my older Denon and am undecided whether to stay with them or switch to Yamaha when I upgrade after the new year. When the CES show is going on is the best time to buy any home electronics.

      @@GizmoDuck34 I've been anti-Sony since the 80's and Pioneer never impressed me that much either. I do have a Panasonic 4K blu ray player that's excellent though, but it was pricey for what it is.

      Just my opinion but when it comes to 2-ch stereo audio Denon AVR's just happen to be the worst out of all the AVR's (tinny thin almost Digital sounding)
      so glad I returned my expensive £2,000 Denon 6500 for a properly balanced analogue sounding AVR. Forget the 2-ch stereo music... whenever the movies Dynamics happen to change no more having to reach for the remote control 🥳

      Can you elaborate on the Yamaha being dependable and problematic?

    • @MakeitZUPER
      @MakeitZUPER Před 5 měsíci +1

      @@Totalpckge Dependable, would be referring to their longevity, while problematic would be referring to their use. Some people find them easy to get used to while others, not so much.

    Denon needs to make sound controls separate from what does not have any thing to do with the sound.

      @@kman9387 Aweosme man, that’s good to hear. I’m having 8 in wall and ceiling speakers installed Tuesday. All Focal 300 series. I have a SVS PB 16 and PB400, and some Klipsch front and Center. Will def run calibration. And looking forward to trying that center channel up with the in wall heights. And then try out the 360 surround. If you have a PS5 or XBox, when you turn those on, will it automatically switch to that input?

      @@GizmoDuck34 I haven't got that far in to have inputs auto switch. I'm looking into doing more customization once I'm done playing with my Sony VPL-XW5000ES 😁
      I'm so wrapped up in making my HDR look perfect and get it as close as possible to the overly spectacular SDR it offers.
      I'm also using Focal!
      I have a complete Focal chora 806 series and 2 in ceiling. The Sony is doing wonders with Bass management and giving indavidal speakers a bass boost as well. The human voice now has depth and emotion👍
