  • Collector Bo Bushnell has been gathering biker gang memorabilia for years, including numerous Hells Angels jackets, documents, patches and photographs. As he’s learned, it’s not an easy, or safe, thing to do. But even death threats haven't stopped him from doing what he sees as important work.

@Your Name The true modern day Hell's Angels (soliders) have a shelf life just like milk...they may last a couple of months but in the end everything turns sour and the lucky ones just fade away...the corporate Hell's Angels just keep selling their bullshit made in China and racking up that paper...Drugs, sex slaves and lawlessness is just a cowards way of life, no morals, no values and hardly anything to aspire to. The originals were WW2 vets that got used to the adrenaline rush of facing death on a daily basis...men of war that were no longer fit for "polite society" and had no where to vent their PTSD...but those guys did not try to cripple the country they fought for by pimping out their buddies daughters or selling dope to kids.

I’m guessing 1978 to 1982 only because as I ran the chapters I recognized two members ( not H/A ‘s) let’s just call them B charter and from a small town I grew up in .
The interesting back story my friend was 10 yrs older and was in the SanBern area during this time and was an acquaintances that circle and gave me lots of story’s but most of all educated me on the do’s ( very few) and the big Don’t’s

You can go to any website as a normal person and buy support gear, stickers, shirts etc. but, as a non member you can’t just wear a death head around. @@jclaytoncabral5106 Well said sir. I've never understood why anyone would not want to follow society's laws & standards yet want to follow a sub culture's "laws", rules, "bylaws" that essentially mean nothing except to them🤨 The outcome of fighting society / the law is like the song I fought the law and the law won...

@@jclaytoncabral5106 Well yeah. But it seems to me that some MC's are like the Catholic church: A lot of rules loosely enforced. Some are like the Protestant churches: A few rules STRICTLY enforced. Even the US Marines don't have a LOT of rules STRICTLY enforced. It can't be done.

@@jameskillian9269 Exactly. When you go to a party at some of their clubhouses, you can't be armed and you have to leave the saddlebags on your motorcycle unlocked so they can freely go around and rifle through your personal belongings. There's nowhere else besides courtrooms and government buildings where you are subject to this treatment.
      No thanks

@@jclaytoncabral5106 To be devil's advocate, imagine if they had no rules. They'd have lasted a year or two, tops.
It's paradoxical but they consented to those rules. And anyone who doesn't like it can start their own club.

Thats not really the point. Outlaw clubs are like microcosms of nations at large. Each club is it's own nation with rules and code of ethics etc. The point is to be seperate from mainstream society (rejecting it) by choosing your own rules in which to live by. Sort of like how pirate ships back in the golden age of piracy often functioned like miniature democracies at sea.

    Funny Story:
When I was 6-7 years old, I got it in my young mind that literally any person that i saw riding down the road who happened to be on a motorcycle was automatically a “Hells Angel”
(I had absolutely no clue what that meant 😂😂😂) My parents said I’d scream it out on car rides, and anytime I saw bikes go by, but had to sit me down finally when my elementary school teacher called home saying I was telling everyone my “uncle was a “Hells Angel” Worst part was I didn’t even have an uncle that owned a bike 😂 that was 30 years ago

Dropping names is not something you should be doing when conversing with a club member...very frowned upon by all clubs! It will get you an a$$ whipping if you drop the wrong one...or worse...
