Cooking with Merlin-Labron Johnson

The meals of Merlin have fed many, and nourished more-from his tiny rural restaurant in Bruton, Osip to the refugee camps of Lesvos and Chios. This week, we join him in the kitchen to cook his favorite Autumnal recipe, a swiss chard and pumpkin gratin. The youngest British chef to be awarded a Michelin star at 24, Merlin's latest culinary journey from the city of London to the countryside exudes his sense of purpose: to celebrate a time and a place in Somerset using ingredients that have been grown by us or by our neighbors.
