    Thank you for sharing this . Just a little tip. If u keep all ur items grouped before sizing to your square. They will all be the right size. Then you can ungroup after. And you won’t be trying to figure out if they fit back into the right sized item later. Take care and thank u again

    You can use the contour function to separate the two pieces on backpack that are so close together so you don't have to cut through it.

      Use the 24 inch mat. Then tape a small amount of masking tape to all corners.

    Hi
    Can I make a suggesting...you could have contour the purple section. You would have to duplicate the image and remove the portion on the right (arm) and then on the second images remove the other section to see if it will fit the mat...Hope that made sense..if not let me know..

    Thank you for making this video! I watched another video where someone did a similar technique for larger than mat creations. Specifically in that video there was a lot of slicing and dicing going on. I like how you separated some pieces to save on paper, I like that you only made necessary slices, and with your technique it was nice to see that some pieces could remain just as they are. After watching, it literally took me a few minutes to prepare an image for the larger cut. You saved me so much time!! Thank you again!!

    so when you are sliceing do i make the shape im sliceing the size i want it to be? for example if i were to cut the back pack and want it 26 inches do i make it 26 inches on the cricut the slice?? or minimize it small enough to where i can still work with it? yours seems so small on the screen

    Hey not sure if you know, but you don’t have to slice everything to separate the pieces. For certain images you can just duplicate then go to contour to get individual pieces.

      Contouring is more difficult in my case Because I have to use an iPhone since I only have a Chromebook and cricket design space is not compatible on Chromebook I wonder if it would be easier to do it the country way on a computer still though

      I would not suggest putting vinyl over this, but there is a way to make characters with vinyl itself. If you want I can make a video for you showing you how to do it that way as well.

    Can you do large letters at least about 24 in with card stock? Speaking in general. I want very large letters and would like to try it on card stock.

      Yes you can. You would slice them the same way to get them to fit on the mat.

      I use 12x12 cardstock paper. You can purchase from any craft store: Micheals, Joann's, Walmart, or Amazon.
