    • @CorinneBlackstone
      @CorinneBlackstone  Před rokem +1

      Cardboard will need a deep cut blade and cannot be more the 2MM thick. You would need to adjust the cut settings and possibly cut multiple times. I don't like to do that on my machine because it takes forever and dulls the blades super fast. you are better off hand cutting

    • @CorinneBlackstone

I do think I figured out how to sort of print then cut 12 x 24, or 11,5 x 23,5, though. Just print on Cricuts cardstock with 0,65 margins (if you have an Epson ET-8550), then line it up exactly with the mat and cut it after calibrating. And just don't unload the mat if it needs to be debossed or something.

      Design space has been glitching with slice a bit when it comes to print then cut images. usually just reloading the image onto your canvas or restarting the program fixes the issue. your print then cut images can only be 6.75x9.25 in order for it to work. sometimes it helps to make them just a touch smaller than that

    Hello,, I see this is an old video and hoping you can still help! Is there a certain file or something I should look for when uploading an image? I purchased an SVG file from Etsy and when I upload the image, I don't get the option that says, "complex" nor the option to remove the background. When I try to slice the image, the "slice" icon is grayed out, I read the suggestions you gave to the persons who were having the same slicing issue and none of those worked for me. Not sure what I'm doing wrong. I've tried following your steps about 7 times and I still can't get the file to slice. It is "flatten" and I cannot "unflatten" it, Do you think I may have the wrong file type? Thank you!

    • @CorinneBlackstone
      @CorinneBlackstone  Před 3 měsíci

      So couple issues. Number one you’re using and SVG. Those files are made to cut in multi layers because of the way Design Space works. It will not be able to slice that design even after you flatten it you should be using a PNG image and keeping in mind that you can only use slice when you have two layers selected otherwise slice will be grade out.

    Why would my image not let me slice ?

    • @CorinneBlackstone
      @CorinneBlackstone  Před rokem

      could be a couple reasons, one being you had more than just two layers selected at once. You can only select two layers for slicing. The other reason could just be a cricut issue. Sometimes its a little squirrly and you may need to restart the program to use the slice option even if you are doing everything right. It wouldn't let me slice the first time I tried to make this video and a simple restart fixed the issue.
