Linda Ronstadt is the greatest most versatile female vocalist of her generation.
Any generation!
Think Karen carpenter hD best voice but Linda still top notch!
@@davidchase1439 Karen Carpenter was good but sang mostly milk toast mellow pop songs. Never did the diverse music vocals Linda did.
Karen Carpenter was top tier excellent
But she didn't sing opera, country, Spanish, rock and more!
Linda did all that at top tier
@@SirWrecksy it's just Karen voicevreXhed into one's heart and emotions
Linda could sing any style, Pop, Rock, Opera, Country. Check out her singing "La Charreada" 1989 Live performance. I think you will be impressed.
I love Linda Ronstadts version of the Eagles song Desperado.
That one is my favorite
her rendition of "Blue Bayou" - "Simple Dreams" (1977) album
Her vocals in Blue Bayou are dreamy.
Blue Bayou, Long long time, It's so easy, When will I be loved...
The most beautiful voice on the planet. Her catalogue is huge and spans multiple genres. Well worth exploring. Can’t say enough in praise of this stunningly talented woman. 🌺✌️
Linda Ronstadts backing band in 1971 eventually became The Eagles. She is credited with encouraging them to form the legendary band.
She could have made it with any band that had any musical sense...
I landscaped her dad’s house in Tucson 50 years ago. She was there visiting and was so kind.
Linda was an amazing performer. Check out Blue Bayou and tumbling dice.
Linda only sang other people's songs, but she was so good that she always seemed to make them her own.
Plus, she started out singing country, but she could and did sing almost any genre, including pop, rock, opera, and traditional Mexican music.
Everybody loved Linda back in the day.
She had some of her own(Long Long Time), did some current covers then (I Will Always Love You) but picked some older rock standards, reintroduced them and took them to the next level.
Emma, would like to see you react to two songs by Linda: "Long, Long Time", “Desperado”. Thanks...
I followed Linda Ronstadt for one summer 1977 . I saw 6 shows in 5 states that summer..All the New England states. I was 18 years old.
I grew up listening to my mother's 8-tracks playing this beautiful voice! ❤❤
My all time favorite female singer since the early 70s. She could ANYTHING...and did. Go down the Linda R rabbit hole. Blue Bayou in concert is my per sonal favorite.
Linda has tons of hits
Gotta do BLUE BAYOU next! Linda Ronstadt could sing any genre of music, in my opinion one of the best female vocalist of our time.👍🍀
Most versatile singer from 1960’s and 70’s. Check out more. 😁😁😁
My favorite female singer of all time. She could sing anything.
Her live version of "Willin'" by Lowell George is a real treat. Dynamic range and a really personal feeling to it. (She was a big fan of his.) Great backup band, too. Love her also for being an unpretentious, down-to-earth person.
The Conga player is Jeff "The Skunk" Baxter, legendary lead guitar for Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers !
Queen of the '70s.
BLUE BAYOU.
Linda was every teen boy's crush back in the 70's. Widely regarded as one of the greatest singers of all time. She was the first female to sell out arenas or stadiums. She could sing any genre and at a high level.
I had her poster in my bedroom.
That's Doobie Brothers & Steely Dan lead guitarist Jeff "Skunk" Baxter on congas LOL
I was wondering if anyone had pointed this out. Always makes me smile. I believe there is also a video of him playing congas with Steely Dan when then did Do It Again on The Midnight Special.
Her live performance of "Someone to Lay Down Beside Me" is fantastic.
She can sing any genre of music and has.....big band, Rock, country, pop, Spanish
Linda Ronstadt is a classic singer who covers songs by others and makes them her own.
Linda Ronstadt is at the top when it comes to female singes. Power, softness. perfect vibrato. She had the whole package. Incomparable.
Yes, you sure should listen to more Linda. Tumblin' Dice and Poor Poor Pitiful Me for the rockin' Linda and Blue Bayou for a ballad would be my suggestions.
Her vibrato was flawless. Soooo talented
Blue Bayou is another classic song of Linda's.
Love Linda, great reaction
Please play more Linda Ronstadt. Great reaction
One of the original girl rockers at a time when very few female singers rocked out!!!
Watch & listen to her live version of “Desperado” it’s perfect!
She is a gift to us all. Had a crush on here since 1972
Linda was my favorite singer for,any years. She was incredible. Any genre she was perfect.
Her version of “Desperado” is great. Thanks for the reaction!
Added!
Thanks Emma, it is always a delight to experience music with you.
She's so so good. Always in my playlist.
Love is like oxygen by Sweet❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Great suggestion.
Beautiful, powerful, emotional voice. Please check out her live video performance of "Desperado" and the "Round Midnight"with Nelson Riddle - versatile indeed!
The pride of Tucson, Arizona. ¡Viva, Linda!
It is strangely exciting to hear Emma (or any CZcamsr) say, "Linda Ronstadt is an absolutely new singer for me." It's like you're discovering a new planet.
Linda Ronstadt is a class all by herself. Amazing voice and an amazing woman.
Love Linda Ronstadt. I hope you react to more of her songs. A bit of trivia. The band that would become the Eagles started out as a backing band for Linda. One of her songs experienced a brief revival recently when it was used in episode 3 of "The Last of US" Long, Long Time.
1959 through 1972 - very good singers.
Linda, simply incredible vocalist. I highly recommend her Spanish album; you will be surprised by her sustain.
You have a great voice!
Always loved Linda's talent and, yes, I also had a massive crush on her growing up (a long line ahead of me lol).
The guitar player is Andrew Gold. He had 2 hit songs "Lonely Boy" (1977) and "Thank You For Being A Friend" (1978) which was later used as the theme song for US tv show The Golden Girls.
Jeff "Skunk" Baxter is an amazing guitarist (Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers) and also a Ballistic Missile Defense consultant to the US government. Here you see Skunk playing congas for Linda Ronstadt.
I think you'll really enjoy the song Desperado, the live version, it's the one with about 872K views.
Blue Bayou, Long Long Time, La Chareda
My favorites by her in rock/pop category would be : Long,Long Time. Different Drum. Faithless Love. Someone To Lay Down Beside Me.
OoohYeah!!! She wassa PowerHouse!!!🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶
Captain & Tennille. Love Will Keep us Together.
I was a kid in the 70s.. and believe me...linda was everywhere
The Midnight Special was on TV at midnight every Saturday night. The party would tone down a bit when it was on. That was before VCRs so you had to watch it live, and it was good.
Please do HEATWAVE LIVE by Linda Ronstadt my favorite ! also DIFFERENT DRUMMER w/ Stone Ponies Live
*Different Drum

Linda is actually fluent in Spanish sings Spanish songs. Multi-talented
Listen to La Charrea. It's from a Spanish-speaking album that Linda released. Incidentally, it's the largest selling Spanish-speaking album in American history. If you really want to hear her voice on full display, that's the one
Somebody To Love, Grace Slick / Jefferson Airplane, '67 🎸🎶👌
