I was going to do a full review of this and play it to completion, but, well, that doesn't really seem possible at the moment. I guess I'll have to actually buy a copy of this, or wait for Xbox emulation to improve further. Instead, I'm going to take a look at the original Devil Summoner game, released on Sega Saturn and later the PSP. It'll be a few weeks before it's done, but this is a game that not too many people talk about and has yet to receive an official translation OR a fan translation patch. I think it'll be pretty cool and less painful than MT1, so here's hoping it goes well.
I'm actually playing that game on my Saturn currently! I also bought Soul Hackers on Saturn the other day for 100 yen, so I'm excited to try that out. Can't say I'm a fan of the loyalty system so far. It makes demons whose loyalty level is based on how much higher leveled you are pretty useless. Also, screw Chinatown. Just finished that area and it was terrible.

This game backwards compatible on the Xbox 360? I know a relatively good number of OG Xbox games can play on the 360, dunno if this one can. Though the 360 isn't entirely region free I do know there are some Japanese games that work on the system.
