Ghosts US:
The US version of the hit UK series. A couple inherit a crumbling mansion - and a gaggle of ghouls, from a saucy 1920s lounge singer to a 1960s hippy. It's a live-in nightmare!

When Your Girlfriend’s Seeing Other People | Ghosts US
Oh my god, how is this for foreshadowing? When Alberta is saying she wants the descendants of the suspects in her murder to come to a dinner party, Hetty is seen shaking her head.
that's because she (SPOILERS)
Hetty knows who killed Alberta, and it was her son Thomas Woodstone, and she's shaking her head, because it's impossible, and she knows who did it and knows it's a bad idea. also, Alberta wants the descendants of Thomas...the closest that is ever going to be is Sam!
I like how she comes up with creative nicknames for them all. Plus, Rose McIver was previously a zombie in the world of living people, now she's a living girl who can interact with ghosts.
The UK nicknames for them (in the original version) are better IMO.
Budget Tarzan, Captain Cave Prick and Major-General-Can't-Sing get me every time 😂
Alexander Hamilton died of a gunshot wound on July 12, 1804 at the age of 49.
I loved the uk series and took a while to warm to the usa version. The latter has grown on me, however, and I think there are some clever touches in it. I love Thor and I like the way Jay deals with having the ghosts in his life ❤
“I see dead people.”
“Hey drake, I heard you like em young.”
I don't get why an American version is necessary- can't Americans just watch the UK version?
I tried to, it was so unfunny. The UK version almost made me fall asleep.
When we gonna see season 3...please.
I've watched this entire series multiple times. I tried the UK version. I generally really enjoy UK shows, but couldn't get into it.
Is this story inspired from Bengali movie?
Uk version is better
Comedy feels forced in this one lmao
I love both versions but I kind of almost like the UK version better. My hubby likes the US version better. In the US version, the comedy is a bit more forced and the UK episodes are also longer, which gives the UK version more time to flesh out better storylines.
Without a doubt
Defo
One could say the same about the uk ADAPTATIONS of before we die (innan vi dör), professor t, crime scene cleaner, the tunnel, brighton belles (golden girls), etc. Every adaptation is not without criticism.
I can appreciate usa ghosts AND all uk adaptations of foreign shows, as listed above.
Here's a list of other usa shows that brits later adapted for their country :Good times, maude, married with children, law and order, mad about you, who's the boss, that 70s, show.
Seppos have an original idea in their heads one single time challenge
If by "Seppos" you mean *the same guys who worked on the UK version* then okay.
I really like this
How can you ruin such a brilliant idea. I know. Make an American version.
Both series are literally made by the same team, ya pretentious teabag.
As an Australian I often prefer British versions, but not in this case. I find the American show entertaining, but think there’s room for both shows.
Vive la difference!
Ghosts US < Ghosts UK
The characters in US are so much more irritating and the acting is worse, VFX bad, and the only improved thing is flower and the singing woman.
Agreed
Disagree, but glad you - and I - each have a version we find entertaining.
@@heatherjay8802 well, I still like UK version but I watch the US version first so I’m attached the but I do watch the UK version and it’s really good too
@@heatherjay8802 yes
All you snobby British Ghosts fans who claim the US version is inferior, the US version is still on the air. I believe the British version has been canceled. Carry On.
It hasn't been cancelled, it just ended because the show has finished.
More than likely a psychic medium.
US Ghost.
I didn't know this was a remake of a UK version. So when I found out I thought I would have something to watch while waiting on season 3. So I started watching the UK ghost and it was so dry and boring. I didn't laugh once. It was awful I barely made it through the 1st episode.
Same here! Apparently the UK version includes actors who worked together on the Horrible Histories series and so viewers have come to know - and like - them through that. I often like British shows, (I’m Australian), but found the UK Ghosts nastier - for a start, Trevor deliberately pushed Sam out the window, (do the characters have the same names in both versions? I didn’t take notice of the UK characters’ names) - and I thought that in the April Fools’ Day episode, Sam was very cruel to the one who professed loved for her.
I like the witty asides in the U.S. version and overall the characters are much nicer and kinder.
Nowadays, (especially!), I think more niceness and kindness is needed.
Anyway, each to their own and I while I can see positives in the UK version, (and understand some of the criticisms of the US version), I enjoy and much prefer the U.S. version.
@@heatherjay8802the UK Ghosts is considered a modern classic of the cosy sitcom genre. I find it strange/amusing you consider it to be nasty. IO haven't seen the US version yet. I generally like US sitcoms (Brooklyn 99 etc) so will probably give it a go but I think the key will be to not compare the two versions. They obviously aren't going to be the same at all.
@@neilemms5831 I agree about not comparing them, though people obviously have. I really hoped I’d like the British version, as I do enjoy many British shows.
However I do believe it was rather “nasty” when Alison, (I think that’s the character’s name in the UK series), was pushed out the window! In the US show the same character accidentally trips on a vase and tumbles down the stairs.
I also found some of the mannerisms of the characters in the UK show unappealing and especially unpleasant. However, that’s just my subjective opinion.
Glad there are different shows for different tastes!
@@heatherjay8802 indeed there are. It was one of my favourite shows of the last 20 years. Not sure which nasty characters you are referring to, but the MP character was meant to be a Tory, so there's a bit of satire there. Also, it gives a chance for characters to have a story arc and a bit of redemption, which definitely happens in the UK version. If everyone is just nice it soon gets stale I'd have thought.
@@neilemms5831 I didn’t watch enough of the UK version to know too many details about all the characters, but it was the act of pushing someone out of a window - which could’ve been fatal - that I thought was quite “nasty”, rather than the characters.
However, several of the other characters’ mannerisms came across as particularly unappealing to me - to the point that I wasn’t interested in continuing to watch the show - again, a subjective opinion!
Though I prefer the U.S. version, if I’d liked the UK one, I would’ve watched both, but if it’d been the only version available, it wouldn’t be one I’d choose.
In the U.S. series I find the characters do develop and they certainly aren’t all “nice”.
Each to their own and may we all find entertainment we enjoy!
Pretty awfull after watching europe version
I just wanted to say hello
The American version is better. It's funnier
