  • We create new siphon tube to replace the Harbor Freight OEM one. The old one was garbage so hopefully the dual tube siphon made from $8 worth of PVC will work better. They make metal prefab versions for like $40 on Amazon.
We use 1/2 "hot/cold" PVC tube from Home Depot - homedepot.sjv.io/WDanaO
    PVC Cap - homedepot.sjv.io/6b9O9E
    Cement - homedepot.sjv.io/KeL1Lv
    Metal Prefabbed Tube - amzn.to/3aB69RE
    Dust Cyclone Collector Separator: amzn.to/3ExTnxI

The reason why these pick-up tubes theoretically work, is because the positive pressure from the gun forces the air through the air supply tube and agitates the media going through the media pick-up tube. The reason why these pick-up tubes do not work in reality is because people use very powerful vacuum systems to fight the dust and as the result there is not enough positive pressure in the cabinet to agitate the media by forcing the air down the air supply tube. You might do well to add a very flow restricted line from your air supply line that goes to the gun directly into the air supply tube.

Hi, I would like to ask some questions
    1. What's the inner diameter of plastic pipe?
    2. Which Air compressor you are using?
    3. Which media you are using and it's size?

I'm w you on more than hot glue, but w old guy w leaving the air feed tube plug unglued to allow purging, how's this working after a month later? Any hindsight?

It’s worked well for all my caliper blasting. I found that filling the tank up full really helps keep the flow going. Much less clogs and empty shots with this tube.

@@TunerwithKids I have been looking at the bottom feed metering mods, you can make them w off the shelf parts, avoid the tubes, adjust your grit feed, get by with minimal sand, I think I'm going that route when I get the cabinet, but I'm gonna use the siphon style on a different project.

The bottom feed mod is way to go.
