What is an Active/Passive BGP Peering??????

BGP is an application that uses TCP for transport. Like all TCP applications, the first thing BGP will do is form a TCP connection. With a TCP connection, there is always two sides: Server and Client. Typically, we just configure two routers to become BGP Peers not caring who becomes the Client or the Server. If you ever have a strict requirement where one router must always be the Server side of the connection, BGP gives you that ability. Watch this video to see how.
