I have a similar story. My neighbor lent this to me when I lived in Milwaukie, Wisconsin. One night I was returning it to him and noticed his door was slightly ajar. I noticed a strange smell coming from the apartment so I peeked in further and tried to pry the door a little more open. However, my neighbor suddenly appeared at the door and he goes "What do you want?". I sheepishly said "Oh I was just returning your VHS tape, Jeff" and handed it back to him. He grabs it looks back to his apartment and turns back to me and says with a smile and says "Thanks". I quickly left. I moved out after a few months later. Turns out that neighbor.....was Jeffrey Dahmer. TRUE STORY!

This used to be on tv so often. It has became so iconic from the dome and to the midget and the giant to the desert setting. It is such a great movie.

An entirely different character. We know from the closing of "The Road Warrior" that the gyro captain went north with the refinery folk as their new leader after the death of Pappagallo.

Agreed. Its such a different film from the other two. Its more slick. It has its faults but overall its a great addition to the canon.
Why we do not have great movies like this anymore? Things went all the way down hill from 2010.

I was a kid when this came out, I loved MM2 so much I got in (when it was PG13) but I liked it, I knew it was no way as good as 2 but you could definetly see the budget values had improved considerably, sadly the script and direction was not great.

I liked it up until he met those kids. It was the equivalent of the Ewoks 2 years prior...brings the movie to a screeching hault.
I was so dissapointed when it came out… the car action was so reduced… only the end escape chase had a few car stunts…. a matter of taste… but compared to Road Warrior this was more Dune Warrior 🥳

Well, it’s impossible to ‘approach’ anybody, that close, that low, without being noticed.
I think they're gliding, so very little noise being made. You can hear the engine sputter to life right after they hit Max.

Ummm, did that dude just drop out of a plane and land in the seat of that carriage deal like it was nothing??!! He dropped in there like me plopping on the couch. Pretty sure he would have crushed his sack and broken several bones as well. Regardless, I always loved this movie.

While not a terrible movie it certainly was mediocre compared to the previous two movies. Thank goodness Fury Road came along to bring the franchise to its heights again.

Absolute shit, so far from the original story, i went to the drive-in theatre to watch this expecting it to be as good if not better than the first 2 movies, totally disappointed, i drove out after the firs 30 minutes, the last instalment was shit too.
