I'm so fascinated with their dynamic; they know each other so well. It's like there was absolutely no time lost between them. Finishing each others sentences, knowing exactly what the other is going to say - Caroline understanding him but still calling him out on his shit. Klaus really listening to her because it's coming from her and he knows that she is right. The way they look at each other. Interact with each other. They just balance each other out and it's freaking perfect. I'm so glad that we have them back.

He never lies to her cause she has always accepted the whole of him and he talks to her with his guard down. He never patronises her because he loves the fact that she is intellectually his equal. Stefan and Cami were just pit stops on the way to Klaroline. Stefan showed Caroline that she could tick off all the boxes her human self made that convinced her to keep Klaus at arm's length and still end up with an idiot who will ditch her for his brother on their wedding day. Like Stefan helped Caroline let go of her humanity a bit and Cami helped Klaus appreciate his and now they are ready for each other, finally.

They bring out the human in him because Elijah is the older brother that knew Klaus as a human personally and Caroline is the woman who has seen that human within him. It’s just that right now Elijah can only help him with his presence and Caroline, if willing, can do much more if she dedicates enough time and effort.

Not to just refer to this scene, but also the entire show and TVD, that somehow a lot times Klaus blames Mikael for his own mistakes. Mikael was a horrible abusive father, but you can't just always blame someone who has hurt you in the past for the mistakes you are making now. He needs to take some more responsible for his actions and think about the consequences, because this story about blaming Mikael for the damaged person he has become is getting a bit old and childish. I understand his pain, but just because your pain is understandable it doesn't mean your actions are.
