- Interrupting the lynx's song after freeing the cats makes the cage with the chest fail to open. You can open the cage by leaving and reentering the screen or by playing the song yourself.
This doesn't seem to be useful for anything, but it's kinda funny.

Came here from the video of the person completing the game using wrongwarps in under 7 minutes and I'm Extremely Relieved to see that you aren't meant to play the whole song from memory, and that the lynx sings the cage open for you if you finish her side quest. Very cool that the dev lets you open the cage yourself for speedruns!
Why do you watch speedrun videos of a game you haven't beaten yourself?

@@hoodinislilsub980 i was gonna say "how would they know wrongwarp but not about how to free the cats or the reward for doing it?", but i guess it's possible to beat the game without knowing you can free them and then watch post-game/speedrunner stuff
@@HansDenuevo Also, "beating" the game means multiple things. You don't need to unlock even half the items to officially beat the game, that's why they call all this stuff "post-game".

you can watch the direction the notes go in the video and copy from there!
It doesn't appear anywhere else in-game, but you don't need to play it yourself. The lynx will sing the code and unlock the cage for you when you free the other 5 cats.

The lynx sings the song after the other 5 cats have been freed, you're not normally supposed to play it yourself. It doesn't appear anywhere else in the game.

Just copy the notes the mama lynx sings, it takes a good ear but very possible
@jemsuper Yeah, I just copied the notes by ear. It took me a few tries, but it helps that it's mostly ascending scales.
Is it possible to open the cage without freeing the cats if you know the code ?
Yes. Doing that also gives you a wingdings message.
