This is a big thing for me when watching people. I refuse to watch someone who is crappy to/about other people. Brad always has a great outlook on things.
I did the Butterfly cut almost a year ago and it literally took about 15 minutes... the bulk of the time spent on getting my hair smooth. I wet my hair, I put the hair ties where I was told to, I cut it straight... and it was one of the best haircuts I've ever had! Sooooo EASY! I honestly don't get how it's so difficult for these people...other than a refusal to follow instructions. I've done it a few more times to maintain the length and, weirdly (LOL), each time it was quick, easy and exactly what it was supposed to be!
I can't feel sorry for people like the girl in the yellow. She couldn't even be bothered to find a tutorial that she understood and that didn't skip explaining things. If somebody can't even do that then they don't care about the result and nobody should feel bad if they only decide to switch their brains on AFTER scissors have been used.
in school we learned every basic and popular hair cut could be simply turned into ponytails at certain sections of the head to create different styles. the ponytail method never fails

I guess she ended up liking it but I feel like the refusal to follow directions is secretly so they hope they get some fail video so they can go viral and get attention for being so dumb

@@vegan_guac Yeah, the butterfly cut is where you put it between your eyebrows and use 2 ponies. The wolf cut is on the highest point of your head.

I've done the butterfly cut several times and it was so easy and really good. If you follow HIS instructions, it's soooo easy. Wet your hair. Make sure you comb/brush your hair smooth. Place the ties where he tells you to.

I've been cutting my hair myself for a while, decided I wanted to go a professional for once and I went to a hairdresser in Australia... they cut my hair so hilariously uneven, that I just learned how to do it myself 😂 Brad's tutorials are a great place to start, from there you can learn and adapt what works for you! Just don't cut too much, and you can still adjust if you mess up a bit!

You have a tutorial video for a wolf haircut and another video for a butterfly haircut.
In the tutorial video of the wolf haircut, the ponytail is not placed in front but on top. But in the butterfly haircut the ponytail is in front. I think that's why people get confused...

@@RenataKleinRKi do a bob on myself all the time. i mean it's not magazine-worthy but i keep my hair in a ponytail most of the time anyway, i just put it in 4 sections like brad says and then i cut the front sections straight across and the back sections kind of angled down from my shoulders to my shoulder blades to make up for the overdirection and it's a decent serviceable bob.

I have a hair pullinh disorder, so when i cut my hair i do WANT to go overboard even more. However, i managed to last time, not go over. I’m really happy how it came out. Saved 75 bucks!
I dealt with that when I was in school. It sucked =( It eventually stopped and has been followed by a variety of other things over the years but they've mostly been preferable to the hair pulling

I was so confused when Brad said the position of the ponytails were wrong. I have followed his tutorial a couple of times and I put it at the same position. I had to go back to see if I did it wrong and I think Brad is confusing the wolf cut tutorial with the butterfly cut, where you have one ponytail at the apex and one in between your brows 😅🦋 Both of the tutorials works great! I have done both a couple of times. My absolute favorite is the butterfly 🥰

@Britt. Both! But on the top of the head is the wolf cut and pulled to the forehead is the butterfly cut. I've watched both of those videos of his and that's how he did it for each of those... that's why I was so confused when he was saying it was wrong lol Silly Brad got his Flys switched 😂
Oh wait.. I think I misread your question, the wolf cut you pull to the top of your head, not the crown. Maybe an inch from your forehead going towards the crown if that makes sense

The wolf cut has become my go-to style of cut. I touch it up every few months, mainly to get rid of dead ends and thin it out because my hair's way too thick. I always watch Brad's tutorial beforehand so I don't get too crazy with the scissors and start thinking I'm a hairstylist lmao.

I have followed your wolf cut tutorial multiple times and have never had bad results.
I've done it and I've followed your tutorial. Already did a trim too after a few months as well. Both went well, this brings out my natural waves so nicely. Basically just cut slowly and in very small pieces, take of very little amounts of length at a time. It'll work out I promise!

Man I wish I could have filmed my bleaching and cutting when Covid first hit. I did a 2 block undercut and oh my gosh I loved it. The bleach was even, but I got bored and didn’t bother doing the colour, still managed to rock the blond. So proud of myself. I pretty much cut and dye my own hair cause I don’t have any money to get it professionally done and my mom cannot cut hair, no matter how much she tries to convince me otherwise (sorry mom). I’m planning on doing a silver with some blueish grey shadow roots with a jellyfish cut. I started dyeing my own hair after watching your vids so I managed to slay the 2 times I dyed my hair. Going to salon's now is too stressful for me. They require you to post before pictures, inspiration pictures, and fill out surveys before they call you to actually schedule something. And the cuts cost between $50-$100. All I ever want is a trim. I don't have the time or energy to deal with that noise. Thanks to you and your tutorials, I have successfully become my own hair stylist. It cost the low, low cost of some cutting sheers and thinning sheers. I have also become the stylist for my mom, son, and husband as well. People think my mom and son go to a salon (husband is growing hair out, so I just even things and thin the poofy parts). Thank you so much for all your tutorials and advice! When people follow your tutorials correctly, things always work out super amazing!
