Love this helmet - the ear muffs do “pop off” from time to time.

Without this video, I would not have got my helmet to fit, thanks Nick !!! TreeStuff rules!

I'm guessing that Pfanner really doesn't want us to be using the chin strap. It's close to impossible and maybe Europeans have skinnier fingers than I do, but I had so much trouble getting my fingers in there to pop it out. Then I had to do it again because it still didn't fit. I had to use the full length of the chinstrap and I have a large, not an extra large head. To put it back I had to stick a flash light in the helmet to see the holes in the tab. They could do better than this. I would not have been able to figure this out without your video. The instructions stink. So thanks for this.

Thanks Nick, I could not figure this out until I watched your video
Fits pretty good and I’ll get the hang of to buckle on the chin strap.

Pfanner Protos engineering should test this helmet on certain European countries where guys have big heads normally. Had to use the full length of the head strap adjustment to make this helmet comfortable. Will not be using the chin strap since the helmet stays on nicely without the chokehold of the chin strap being used

Protos makes an extended chinstrap accessory: www.treestuff.com/protos-extended-chin-strap/ and an oversize rear clip too: www.treestuff.com/protos-oversize-helmet-clip-black/

Did you mention the shell can be lowered to you head?

Came here to say that! Cuz no he did not mention it and it's a super cool feature

@@patrickmuzzi I agree, the lowering helped fit this awesome helmet on my melon head (7-5/8 to 7-3/4). But from what I can tell, my head size is the max for this helmet.
Some guy in the Amazon reviews said his 7-3/4 head did not fit, but it may have if he watched this video and knew what Patrick mentioned.

I'm glad you mentioned that. I have a long head and a helmet I recently bought won't allow me to lower the helmet. When the ear protection I'd in place, my ear lobes are sticking out from the bottom of the muffs. Great video

funny.... I'm sure you checked for ants on the tree before sitting on that log

Its full of ants. During a storm one day I looked out the window and that was tree was standing, heard a bang, ran to the front of my home, smaller tree had fell on it. Called the power company, walked to the back window and POW that big one had imploded at the same instant.
