Thanks for this very fair and well done video, Mark! Glad you enjoyed the game. Yes, many of the issues that you have brought up are being addressed in the expansion as we are paying attention to the feedback we're getting from players. So lots of cool stuff - but no new rules to add to the complexity. For example, we will be offering a semi-cooperative mode in the expansion which will change the dynamics of gameplay, and thus give players very proactive things to do even after the Evacuation Point threshold is met as they try to up their personal score, while risking creating more calamity by doing so. We did opt to go for full cooperation in the core game to keep it more family-friendly. Thanks again!

The issue I have while playing this game is I keep thinking "I wish I was playing Dawn of the Zeds instead". I'm afraid the expansion won't remedy this for me because I don't think it will add the excitement that I'm missing here unfortunately. I think I will keep my P500 pre-order, because I am interested in the shorter scenarios in particular and want to see how that plays out. I do like that this has actual co-op and not the pseudo co-op that DotZ has.

DotZ’s is my preferred game out of the 2 but it’s always a time investment to relearn and play.

I can definitely see that. I've played it enough and still do regularly that the couple of reference sheets from BGG are enough for me to return to the game and start playing with confidence 😊

my biggest issue is the game doesnt scale well. i just play 4 handed. losing 2 turn tokens per missing faction at 3 actions per token isnt made up by an additional follow action. especially when follow actions can trigger event cards further stacking the deck against you.
the 2nd would be once the evac # is reached the tension lets off quite a bit. being able to focus on horrors or simply stay out of their way until the end of day 3 makes the end feel less exciting

i like the game too, but as u point it out after the civillians are evacuated anticlimactic is happend the game does not escalate and then it is a little bit boring. i hope they fix that problem in the expansion. what is your number one tower defence game ?
