Nice size. I stripped a 1977 arc welder that was much easier- the heavy frame was put together so the coils just slid off after some brackets unbolted. The 4.5mm copper wire was coated only with braided cloth- I unwound the coils imto about 40' lengths, cut it into 2 foot sections and ran them several times through the stripper and the cloth wiped straight off leaving clean bare bright. That welder boasted copper windings on a sticker! Stripped a welder from the early 60's but it was all ally windings- just the welding cables were copper and a few brass fittings. G'day from South Australia!
That one was a great breakdown, thanks for watching
Great video! Just stumbled across your channel, and subscribed. I want some of that coffee!!!!😂
Thanks for subscribing, and the coffee was good. Wait a min, coffee is always good. Lol
Been waiting for this vid. GREAT job buddy, and congrats on all the copper!! I was crossing my fingers for ya' that it would all be copper in there. I've done one of these before and it was all copper too. It's a beautiful thing.
Thanks bud, and I will be starting your project after this weekend.
@@scrapitjc I appreciate it. Don't rush - hey make a vid out of it. It would probably be super helpful to other people who may want to make some. I'd be curious to see how it's done anyway.
I tore a 1920's welder apart this summer, it had a copper windings on a loose iron core, it fell apart in my hands. Lots and lots of copper.
I have a large welder that I need to do yet.
There was more copper than I thought
new sub swgp sent me over
Nice, thanks for joining, hope you enjoy the content
My yard will pay #2 copper with or without paper or anything else that is on copper wires like that.
