When I was 19, I played with the Ouija board. This was the beginning of my life turning very dark; I could feel a literal power surge up my body through my legs…I began working as a Playboy model and stripper. The power was intoxicating.

this reminds me of what my archbishop once said about confession statistics: men’s most commonly confessed sin is lust, while women’s is envy.
How would gathering a statistic like this not break the confessional seal? Like maybe it isn't attached to a person's name but it would still require a priest to recall and tell what sins individuals told to him with what frequency during confession?
@@azriannabomann1179 It's no different than a doctor revealing that the majority of his patients suffer from x strain of the flu not violating hipa. There is no identifiable information, plus revealing the generic statistic can assist in some cases - for example I now know to be on guard against these sins, or a priest would know his parish could benefit from a series of sermons on these issues, or that the archdiocese could benefit from a retreat or day of reflection on these topics.

Women have been created to bond strongly with babies and children to keep them safe, that also means creating a strong community of people around you (family and friends) because literal human numbers keep women safe from harm and they get the practical and emotional help they need, especially in the huge job of raising children. Sociologists and psychologists have shown that rather than “fight or flight” women will “tend and befriend”= women will build connections and relationships for survival. So all that sociability and desire to connect which is essential, especially for raising healthy children and building a healthy community and society, can exploit the wrong people for connection or willing to be overly empathetic and sympathetic with others which can lead into unhealthy and even evil places when it doesn’t focus on God at the center (love, peace, truth, goodness and acknowledging that we are sinners that need redemption)
This is really well-stated.
I have often suspected that a woman's natural tendency towards manipulation does have a proper place in the raising of children (especially toddlers). Especially when the 'terrible twos' hit it takes real skill in getting children to make good choices and stick to them - and the best way to do that is to convince them that the good choice was entirely their decision. One of my nephews (many, many years ago) absolutely dominated his mother by the time he turned 3. While between jobs she moved in with me and stayed several months. She was absolutely shocked at how well he minded me - no temper tantrums, no sulking, so screaming fits, he was absolutely the best behaved of little boys.
Hmm I'm not so sure it's as innocent as you make out. In genesis it says "And the woman will try to control her husband but in the end he will rule over her". I think the sinful nature of fallen woman means she will use manipulation and covert tactics to control men and try to gain power them. This is all in an attempt to get from man what only God can give. Women are obsessed with relationships but its the relationship with God that's the only one that can break the curse women are under.
That's how the movie The Secret became so big. Women down on their luck bought into this movie. I don't know how many women recommended it to me. A few years after the movie, books and all the hype people were saying," how long do I have to do my mantras before something happens?"
The Secret had a community of followers of like minded followers and I think it was an easy path to other mystical/occult things.

Yesterday( Sunday) we were at church as usual and when the priest came down with the eucharist to start giving a woman started screaming and yelling something. Some people went to work with her and another priest. I've had some experience with the holy spirit and bad ones, but never saw this type of experience in front of me. The body and blood of Christ (eucharist) is real and He's there never doubt it!
i once walked into the church before going downtown to party and they forgot to lock the door, inside there were few people performing a ritual on a girl that was also screaming and yelling something. they looked at me like im not welcome but i stayed and prayed. eventually she was normal again. by the way this is all happening in orthodox church

No women are the ones most likely to resist demonic possession (hence why the devil and his minions do the most to drive women insane and torture them and why women’s battles against possession are so clear to see and why they are so visibly tortured.) BUT men are the ones who do NOT resist possession from the devil and his minions and put up no fight before these men immediately succumbs to the devils demands and does his bidding (in the forms of murders, r*pes, p*dophilia, abuse, wars, etc).
It’s like resisting an interrogator using torture to get info out of you or to force you to betray your own allies - who is gonna scream and shout more from the pain of the interrogator’s torment? The one who resists the interrogator as long as they can (aka women) or the one who immediately gives in to the interrogator and tells them everything they want to hear or does whatever the interrogator orders them to do (aka men)?
I may have done myself some Reiki training and got myself a certificate a while back. It's absolutely ridiculous. The metaphysics meant to justify their practice is just a joke. It's broken Zen Buddhism mixed with a busted idea of the chakra system sprinkled with some secular universe energy. Just silliness to the highest degree. I never practiced it on anyone but myself and feel extremely grateful that turned out to be the case

Hey there Lisa! I'm sorry to hear about the spiritual warfare taking place around and inside you. You sound confused as to why these demons would come after you when you haven't done anything occult, but one must not engage in the occult to be pestered by demons. The Desert Fathers of Skete dealt with demons all the time and they were 5th century monks living in the desert doing nothing but praising God.
Keep praying and doing the Lord's Will and the demons will wither away and beg for mercy.
When you say something feels like it's taking over, what does that feel like for you? Is it a feeling of intense lust, or what kind of feeling accompanies this taking over of you?

This is so true! I work with all women and women are so competive with each other. Ive never really understood it. I got an award at work and the retaliation and anger I received from the other women I worked with made me bitterly regret ever receiving that award. I think many of us women are insecure because the world tells us we need to be a million different things and we see a woman who does maybe one or two things better than we do and it festers that jealousy and anger in us. This is a huge problem even in catholic women groups or maybe I should say especially catholic women circles. Its because we arent taught our true identity in Christ. We aren't taught that we are loved by God just as we are. If we all truly beleived that then there would be nothing to be envious about.

@@Flo77966 the difference is that men shake hands after. They aren’t seething with jealousy when another of their sex is recognized or something good happens to them. There is nothing wrong with competition but jealousy and envy is something else. Women also retaliate against other women while men do not. Just look online and you’ll see the vast majority of petty comments come from women. It is a sad fact that women are far more vicious and cruel than males which is ironic since we are supposed to be the softer sex.
Why regret the award? You EARNED it. I would rather regret the cattiness and petty jealousy of women. I don't care about petty, small people because thank God, I am not one of them. If I have a dispute, I face the person in question. I have been told over the years, that I "think like a man" and yes, I'm a woman.

I came from Protestantism because, as I told many of my brother and sisters, there was no play book on how to deal with the demonic. I found it in Catholicism and specifically in the Blessed Mother whose heal crushes the head of the evil one. Special blessings to Fr. Ripperger and his book Deliverance Prayers for the Laity.
It's the seed of woman (i.e. Christ) who crushes the serpent, not the woman. (Genesis 3:15). Incidentally, many Protestant believers have successfully dealt with the demonic.

Even if a particular translation doesn't use the word, "crush," per se, the verse I referenced still attributes the defeat of the serpent to the woman's seed, not her, regardless of the version. As you attest, it is essential to credit God alone for the defeat of evil. We should respect and admire Mary but Catholics take this issue too far. Ironically, I'm sure Mary agrees with me. As for your motive for asking this question, I'm a bit confused. I have cried out to God multiple times and He has heeded my calls; hence my defense of His exclusive role in humanity's redemption. I think it's more commonly women who mess with the occult now because we lack male role models. We need men to help guide us like my therapist said "When Eve ate the apple where was Adam to stop her?" we need to work together to become a better christian society.

I think also, women are brought up to be more accommodating and empathetic to others. It opens us up to listenining to and seeking to understand people who are introducing us to these dark things. I think men are more likely to be comfortable shutting down these conversations.

You should join a ministry or rosary 📿 group. That will be a smaller group of people with more than a surface interest in Catholism. Not just Sunday Catholics. This worked for me.

I was a teenager and my mum made a decision to visit exorcist with me. I was to strange for a little girl on her opinion. I can tell you, it was f##ing scary for me. There were a lot of men and women rolling on the floor, crying, telling Buble massage, telling promises to destroy a priest. I just stood up with closed eyes and imagine me in a beautiful garden, far from this hell. Mum asked priest, why he didn't press me more hard with a name of God, and he answered to her not pleasant words. - you are only one dirt in her life. She is not a standard kid, i see that very clear, but she stays integrity, arounded crazy humans and smiling. // I am not religious person till this moment but i am absolutely sure, we have a big power inside all of us to keep our body and soul clear of demons and etc negative items.
Of all my friends, it was the females who said no to the shot. They stood their ground. They followed their conscience and didn't cave into immense pressure.

I love how the priest is not just exorcising demons, but recognizes the need for pastoral care, getting to heart of the matter. The church treats the whole person.
I am sure Father is right, but the number of males must be rising with all the transgendering going on and the "I identify" as this and that. Envy of women and their ability to procreate.
Look into the male/female percentages when it comes to who actually supports LGBT. Then look whether mothers or fathers are sending their kids to be put under the scalpel. Grandpa said it best, "women are awful creatures when menfolk ain't around."

In real life its been very difficult to find a priest who will give spiritual counseling. They just blow you politely off.

Sure wish this was known years ago. My grandmother played with Tarot cards and healing with my mom when she was young. No doubt she opened evil curses on her and us. My mom went on to marry a man just like my grandmother described with her Tarot cards. Green eyed blonde haired man. Except she left out that he would be an evil , abusive, cruel dictator of a husband and father. Who would terrorize us daily, then be a different person in his public politics. One of My brothers played with magic kits and ouija boards at a young age and it’s as though hell was always what our home life was like. Everyone has mental problems in our family and there were some things that happened that were clearly evil spirits behind them in our home. If only priests were warning the congregations about this occult stuff in the 70’s and 80’s. Seems my family is a constant product of generational curses. 😢😢

A lot of preachers, priest and such seem to ignore and scoff at any thing supernatural which is funny because they preach out of a book filled with supernatural occurrences.

I said I am an engineer and he said he couldn't believe I had fallen for occultism because that is somethig that only the "ignorant and uneducated" practice. Bizarre coming from a priest. My understanding, from Fr Ripperger, is that women controlling, or manipulating, is due to the sin of Adam. He didn’t protect her, or take responsibility, so her cross is that she will have “desire” for her husband…for him to take control or “man up”, as we say. The Hebrew word actually means “control”, and has nothing to do with conjugal act. I’d wager, as well, that we are an easy target, because demons hate the Mother of God.

It's heresy! Jesus was the only one annointed with that ability. New agers do it because they claim it is a natural capability of the human mind, but it is NOT. They are exchanging power of the flesh for their soul.
Contact your local bishop. Things like that can easily spiral out of control. That's why charismatic renewal can be dangerous.
Men just hide it better and look for help far less often than women, and their family/friends are less inclined to seek help on their behalf because the danger from those men is immanent and more often violent.
You may have a point. From my experience there are a lottt of possessed men in jail. Whereas women may tend to admit something is wrong and look for a priest.

That statement plays into prejudices, various doctrines, and chiefly his own experience - which is very finite. Please, please, tell us how to pray for adult children who are involved in the occult and refuse to talk to us about it, refuses to be in the room if anyone mentions God's name or praying before meals, or makes noise while the prayer is being said. Literally explodes with fury if mentioned.
Get Holy water and Blessed Salt and bless everything they own with it (no need to tell them). Sprinkle Holy Water all over their bed and room, give them glasses of it with their meal, and ask God to use these sacramentals to protect your child and bring them to Christ.
Keep fervently praying for them, especially ask St. Michael and St. Benedict to pray for them. Keep yourself in a state of grace, go to confession regularly. You could try a green scapular for your children. Follow the example of St. Monica, pray fervently, it was her prayers that helped St. Augustine turn away from sin and achieve sainthood.

The key word is gift, that is not given to everyone (anymore than the gift to understand and interpret it is). Listen to the Lord through Scripture sister before ever listening to anyone else, including ministers or priests.

Due to their more emotional nature (generally of course), women more naturally seek out emotionalism and spiritual movements are a way to do that. I noticed that a lot of women in my extended family are drawn to at best charismatic protestant groups, and at worst totally pagan practices. The men not so much, as they’re more logical. The sad thing is there’s a rich true spiritualism to be had in Catholicism. You have women like St. Therese of Lisioux and many others who were great mystics. The thing is Catholic mysticism requires some basic catechesis and a well maintaining of a state of grace to experience to some degree, and many women want the immediate counterfeit pleasures of things like Reiki and Wicca. Of course there’s a subset of men who just have a more feminine personality that are prone to the same issue.
Women probably get possessed because of men who aren't what they need so they go off into these things trying to fill the void. If men and women worked together maybe it wouldn't be so bad.
It is St. Teresa of Avila who is the great mystic, not Therese of Lisieux who had no mystical experiences at all; she soldiered on in her faith through dryness.

Not trying to sound rude. However many strong spiritual healers will pray and recite for days. I have seen nuns in a circle praying for healing purposes. How is it different if someone is asking for healing from god through prayer or through a drawing? I am an artist. So I am curious.

I feel quite possessed whenever I'm PMSing. Since I don't have sex I don't track menstruation so only after the fact it explains everything 😂 If it's real bad I might notice the calendar and think "ut oh", but man, if it sneaks up on me it's like a rollercoaster of emotions.
I don’t have sex either but it is a good idea to start tracking it. Then you’re able to know what you’re expecting and be able to plan around it i.e not planning a large meetup on one of the earlier days.

There are exceptions. Some women, particularly those with a strong Marian devotion, practice prudence and seek discernment. My late sister dabbled in tarot and even as a non-practicing, cultural Catholic, I knew it was both nonsensical and possibly dangerous.
