    Put you a zip tie under the bottom run on your poultry fence and that may help with your grounding out problem.

    I’m just spending my Saturday going through your videos, rewatching some & finding some I missed. It tickles me how Andy wears a hat & a hoodie if it is the least bit chilly. I know this was October but I see him doing it in April too. 😂😂

    I got my garlic planted a couple weeks ago. I did change the place I put it this time. I planted it where I had planted tomatoes this year and I want to plant tomatoes somewhere else next year.

    What kind of hay? Does it seed out into your garden bed? Don't have a tractor just a tiller so I don't want something I would need to disc. Thanks for the instructions. Y'all do a great job. Appreciate y'all

    • @TrueGritAppalachianWays
      @TrueGritAppalachianWays  Před 10 měsíci +2

      just plain unsprayed fescue hay is what we use, it might be some seed that comes up from the hay but we've used hay for years and never had a problem with that, leaves can also be used and even grass clippings from your lawn long as you haven't sprayed anything on the lawn

    Common sense, feed the land, don't waste anything, equal a Healthy garden.

    At $35 a bail of hay here there's no way I'm throwing it over top of my garden I use Maple Leafs because we have tons of Maple trees and I gotta rake them up all up the yard anyway so I cover my garlic with Maple leaves and I cover all my potato beds that still have potatoes in a more winter I cover those with maple leaves because got tons of them could we're getting rid of them and after that you still them into the garden next spring

      @lawsonlawnandfarm8073 Před 10 měsíci +1

      Is that price for round bales or square bales??? If you’re paying that for square bales you need to find a new place to buy hay. But if it’s round bales that’s about the normal price actually a little cheap

    • @TrueGritAppalachianWays
      @TrueGritAppalachianWays  Před 10 měsíci +3

      Got to feed the soil as well as your livestock, I used to think throwing hay out like that was wasting it too but hey you use what you got and we got plenty of hay!

      That is square and that is at your feed stores and most of the farms here didn't get much hazard they're not selling it@@lawsonlawnandfarm8073

    Do you think I could plant the garlic in a big container? I have a small Koi pond, that I use for a raised bed. 🤨 Are those potatoes, you’re throwing out? ❤😂 I tried the scapes out too, they were “wild garlic” and so good. Y’all convinced me. Going to try my hand at garlic. 😅 Thank y’all for the tips and any advice/thoughts on the raised beds.

    • @TrueGritAppalachianWays
      @TrueGritAppalachianWays  Před 10 měsíci +1

      I don't see why not, it should do just fine, and yes those are potatoes, apparently we didn't get them all up! hahaha
