I think one of the biggest mysteries is how one man can have so many CZcams channels. Thank you Simon.
He’s not a flesh and blood person. He’s an AI.
@@The_Gnome_Chomskee The beard gave it away...
Exactly
I've been saying it for years; they're either robots or clones. Each Simon has been programmed and built by the Top 10s Simon, and are custom purposed to the channel. He also regularly updates their appearance to help keep up appearances. Although, I think he's started using one for both this channel and "Into the Shadows".
He doesn’t write this stuff. He’s just the narrator, that’s how. A fantastic one.
"McUltra". Oh Simon, this is why I love you.
You mentioned Lyme disease. That comes from Lyme, Connecticut. The government was doing research on diseases that were in paracites, like ticks, at Plumb Island at the same time. Plumb Island is 1 mile from Lyme.
I lived in Long Island right by Montauk for a few years, I've been to the facility as well with a few friends when we were teens and poked around in the few bunker-like rooms that we were able to find and get in to. Had to go over a fence and all that good stuff. There was no guards as we were told there would be. In fact, there was nobody there at all. The place was mostly abandoned, there were lots military-style furniture pieces lying around and damaged papers strewn through the rooms in the bunkers. The place was weird and it gave us the creeps, mostly the layout was strange. Watching areas off of empty rooms etc. I don't know if the radar still stands.
Happen to read or snap pics of any of the papers?
The radar still stands.
*On Long Island.
It's "on Long Island". You never lived here.
Sure, should I post up my adress on here? Because I have such a desperate need for validation from a troll.
I actually have a copy of this book. My grandmother picked it up YEARS ago since it had Montauk in the name and she knew I was interested in conspiracy theory (for laughs). It is weirdly written, and at least tries to be logical until about 2/3 of the way thru where it doesn't just go off the rails, it launches into orbit.
Lyme disease killed my dog. He apparently had it 2-3 years without us knowing. By the time we found out, he only had 2 days left. R.I.P. Splinter.
"Initiate Procedure-110-Montauk."
- Some SCP Boi, probably.
That statement from the CIA begs the question: "Is this the first time you did it, or the first time you got caught?"
A good old mystery I'd like Katy or the other writers to take a crack at, is the dissapearance of The Righteous Judges of the Ghent Altarpiece. It's a centuries old painting made out of different parts. One part went missing/was stolen 90 years ago and still hasn't been found. Every so many years someone has a theory about where it could be and starts looking, could be a nice treasure hunt.
P
Sounds interesting.
The entire thing has been stolen more than a dozen times, including by Napoleon and Hitler. The piece you refer to was taken in April, 1934. The thief was actually caught, though the panel was never recovered and a replica was commissioned.
I feel like FactBoy has already done a video on this... 🤔
@@sonofnone116 Maybe on one of his other channels? Knowing Factboi, he probably long forgot 😂
Seriously, Simon’s innocent sanctimony is completely endearing. Love you dude 😂❤.
Being able to conjure things with your mind would certainly give apple juice from concentrate a new meaning 😂
From Long Island, NY, got Lyme Disease, can confirm it REALLY can mess you up!! Didn't know what it was for 6months and caused a bunch of weird issues and took 6months of medication to "get over it".
They thought my buddy had it and for four years he suffered but it turned out to be rheumatoid arthritis and humera helped fix it
I was diagnosed with lyme less than a year after contracting it and the doctor told me I'm lucky because it usually takes 10 years for a diagnosis😭 I can't even imagine
My wife contracted Lyme 5 years ago while camping in north Georgia. She's tried everything not limited to more holistic attempts like stinging herself with honey bees every other day.
It's completely changed our life, lifestyle, our marriage, her health and even her looks to an extent.
This disease is terrible and I hope none of you have to experience it from either side.
Although I didn’t get Lyme disease after a tick bite I was severely ill with a fever for 8 weeks 😮. Yes. Went to 3 doctors and not one would/could help. Did my own research and found I had contracted another nearly deadly tick borne illness (there are several). I never knew about Montauk. As a kid we used to go all the time. Fascinating! Thanks 🙏
I know a woman who was infected with Lyme disease decades ago and it wasn't caught. Her personality was changed radically. Permanent change apparently
Ah yes, the McUltra, stacked with 6 all-beef 1/4 pound patties, 7 buns, and a 20% off coupon for a coffin.
I see no difference with anything else the menu offers, lol~
Yay, I requested this! I live on Long Island..the cliffs are actually a beautiful site for weddings, been to a few
LI is nice, but you guys suck at driving 😂
Mountak was the site where homless kids and street kids were subjected to EST and LSD when project MK Ultra was trying to determine if a perfectly reliable truth serum could be concocted or a perfect sleeper agent made through the combination of using electro shock therapy and drugs to wipe a mind and create multiple personalities. Especialy one that could be buried in someones subconscious and activated using words or a sequence of words and actions that would cause the buried created personality to activate and carry out a trained behavior up to and including assassination. They were espicially interested in learning if a person could be made through programed behavior or muscle memory buried in the subconscious, to engage in activity that goes against that persons own moral code or actions that would risk the persons life and be contrary to self preservation.
The truth about what happened at Mountack is far stranger than the fiction.
Thank you. That pretty much covers about 3/4 of the activities performed, therein. I'm sure Simon slogs through that with his usual sophomoric blather, but you saved me from watching the vid. ;)
Sweet Mary and Joseph, children on LSD during Eastern Standard Time...... my God the government must be stopped! ***slams tiny fists on table***

I'm sure simon would prefer actual coke rather than Coca-Cola
Why our species is doomed. Conjuring up a beverage without redeemable characteristics ? Fool move! Not even getting product placement fee would be the only thing worse.
You seriously didn't watch the same video.. I saw him do it (summon a cokecola and a glass of ice)
I'm surprised there was no mention of the "Montauk Monster" which was a hairless, decomposing raccoon that washed up on shore near the base, but people were convinced it was some sort of alien creature created by the scientists.
Exactly. When Katy was writing about the manifested monster, I thought she was going to say that the body of this monster had even been supposedly found, before debunking it and explaining what it really was...but no mention of it at all surprised me. I live in WI, and even I've heard of the Montauk Monster, so it just feels incomplete.
@@QBCPerdition what was it, really? It also had a beak.
@@rynfornow3411 probably something done doctor put together like the German guy that was putting a dog head onto another dog body giving the dog two heads he even was able to make it stay alive somehow there's some sick people out there n the shit they can do is insane
I remember reading about the Montauk monster when I was younger! First read about it when I was probably 11 or 12. Found the picture really disturbing but fascinating.
Yep..and a second such critter was found a few yards away, a few decades away.....people wonder how those poor things died, drowned..i would say it was probably in effort to get rid of the ticks...Weaponized ticks..that did come from Montauk. Lyme disease is man made, the Nazi's created it first..& they made it right there on Montauk.
The simplest reason for the prohibition on excavation is that the ground is probably quite polluted and the buried and encased areas likely have the more specifically dangerous waste by-products stored there. A lot of the Superfund sites came from that period of time like the Manhattan sites, proving grounds, testing sites in Nevada and so forth were built and operated with little regard or understanding of the lasting effects of what was being studied at the time in favor of everything possible to defeat the adversaries.
You should look into Plum Island. It's actually northwest of Montauk point and east of Orient point on Long Island NY. They are said to do a bunch of research on bio weapons and very infections diseases. I think even Alex Jones even did a thing about it.
Likely where Lyme disease came from. Ft Deitrick is the current bio lab responsible for a 💩 load of leaks. None are as secure as they should be.
Alex Jones is a loony.
This is not an endorsement of Alex Jones 😒 if anything it would serve as a rebuttal to his claims.
"ALIENS?! Are you serious?"
"Yes...That's where they're from."

"Who's on second?"
"No. Who's on first, Watt's on second."
"And the aliens?"
"...They're from Sirius. Yes."
I'm sure this has been a suggestion already, but I think a really fun episode could be done on the crazy conspiracies surrounding the Denver International Airport!
I don't want to be a Debbie downer but i feel like those are pretty far fetched besides the government bunker one. Like the weird murals were just commissioned to a weirdo

Absolutely love the more open and relaxed format on these out there topics. Great hanging with u Simon
This is my hometown! Teenagers break into the Air Force base all the time. I always pictured the Montauk Beast to look like predator.
I was the kid who summoned the monster. Simon overdramatized the events surrounding the destruction of "Project Montauk". In actuality, the 'Monster' was a local drunkard whom wandered in off the street and staggered around vomiting. Nobody wanted to clean up all the sick, so we all just left.
Haha Excellent. Love that!!
Plausible.
🤣🤣
No you weren't...."Junior" was a real fucking monster and you shouldn't poke fun considering the victims of Montauk were tortured and sexually abused by Al and Preston....
Unfortunately, you betrayed your lie by using the British phrase “the sick” whereas Americans say “vomit”, as in “nobody wanted to clean up all that vomit”.
My brother got Lyme disease but we did realize at first because symptoms started showing up the day we landed in Colorado so we just thought it was altitude but it didn’t go away and he got diagnosed when we got home but his whole summer of cross country training was out the window so his coach had him supervise the freshman that didn’t do their summer training
Mental note: add 'altitude sickness' to the mile-long list of things I've heard of masking Lyme's disease. Ugh, the thing has to be in the top 5 most elusive correct diagnoses ever. Did your brother recover fully or does he have any of the effed up long-term symptoms?
I got bit by over 50 ticks at once and somehow avoided getting Lymes. I do have Ehler’s Danlos though, so, still have problems, but unrelated.
My friend wasn’t so lucky, and is now allergic to red meat.
@@audreymuzingo933 he’s mostly recovered but still not going as hard as he can in cross country but much better than July when he couldn’t go for a short run without being absolutely exhausted the next day
@MeBreevee my drama teacher had this and Australia doesn't recognise it as a disease in Australia despite people sending off bloods to credible labs overseas. We do believe it's due to the fact if they declared that it was in Australia Medicare would have to fund it and that the live stock industry would be fundamentally changed.
@@annieinwonderland I don’t think its a “disease” so to speak as much as it is a genetic condition/ faulty collegen. Its all linked to genes aside from H(EDS) Or what I have, and they are still looking for the cause.

Simon, I disagree about the “being able to see through other peoples‘s eyes” ability not being useful. Imagine all the state secrets you could be privy to, or secrets in general, if you were able to just hitchhike into a persons brain as they went through their daily routine!

Great topic, great writing, such a fascinating story!
There is a lot of mystery to that story.
I understand how a series could be based off that, it is really intriguing and stimulates the imagination with all the possibilities of what could be happening there.
I could only imagine what types of hypnosis, drug experimentation, and scientific experiments could be possibly done there (though not likely done in reality).
This was great! Thank you, Katie.
Mixing in fact and fiction well enough to make this a good read for escaping. Yet many of what we may call fiction has come to pass as being truth, so say the comspiracies minded. I enjoyed both this take on the various factual projects and who's to say that all alone they all were actually looking to time travel!?!! So thanks for the video, very funny and entertaining to say the least!!
I've been to Fort Hero, it's about a hundred miles east of me on the South fork of Long Island.... it's a big tourist attraction now, and although technically not open to the public, people walk all around the grounds ignoring the signs and knee high chains around the property. It's not very heavily guarded, if at all, and legends abound. Most of the stories behind it were taken from Preston Nichols questionable "non-fiction" science fiction drama novel, the Montauk Project. It's fascinating reading, but it's about as factual and accurate as Charles Berlitz's similar story, the Bermuda Triangle.
What lost it for me was when he tries to make claims that parts of the movie Total Recall were true also. If you ask anybody who grew up in the area, nothing he claims in the book is either true or verifiable.
It was simply a massive radar station built early in the days of America's involvement in World War II as an early warning defense system against invasion when a group of German spies who came upon land from a submarine stationed just a few miles offshore were discovered and quickly captured.
It was operational until 1980ish (I've heard as early as 1967), when it was decommissioned. It was then quickly emptied out and became a derelict and as long ago as the early 90s, it was "open" to, or at the very least, accessible to, curious onlookers (and apparently lots of teenage vandals judging by the graffiti which you can see on the Google maps photos).
The building is IMMENSE, a perfect cube about 300 to 400 feet per side and height, and the antenna is even bigger, about 500 ft across. A friend of mine and I went on a fishing boat and we were able to see it about 5 mi away!!
We wanted to go in and check it out, since the building is open, but a third friend of ours chickened out crying about what they said in the book!! 🤣🤣🤣
In fact, the movie of the same name, the Montauk Project, starring Bobby DeCicco and Michael Paré, is an adaptation of the book. Right down to the recreation of the vortex in the late 80s 😆😆😆
NEVER HAPPENED!!
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Montauk_Project:_Experiments_in_Time
The whole thing is on discovery and people and victims claim that they were literally under mind control.
I did research on the NORAD radar stations. This would be a great MegaProjects episode. There was one near where I live. If there were any underground buildings they would be offices, RADAR scope stations and cooling systems because RADAR gets very hot. When I mean hot, I mean hot. RADAR as powerful as the 85.5-ton AN/FPS-24 has a normal operation of 5 megawatts and can be boosted to 7 megawatts during DefCon 3 or higher scenarios. The microwave in a microwave oven is typically 250 watts.
Simon: Starts choking...
Also Simon: The show must go on!
At the beginning of the movie "The Hunt for Red October" the disclaimer reads "According to repeated statements by Soviet and American governments, nothing of what you are about to see... ever happened."
This is probably the greatest disclaimer for a piece of fiction, as it leaves you wondering, is it fiction or still classified.
Yes, the CIA who can't even control bugs in their own kitchens and have suspended staff because of food fights (based on de-classified documents). They might *try* a lot of weird stuff, but succeeding seems to be another matter.
You believe they were food fights?

The man is worth a video on his own. Check out his history.
I love a lot of your videos Simon, and I also am a huge Stargate fan I've watched the entire series of sg1 and Atlantis multiple times and will continue to watch them even more
Harmon Air Force Base in Stephenville NL was an American air base in WWII, and that definitely had tunnels and various bunkers dotted around. Most of them are long abandoned now, but college students love to hunt for them. I remember finding several doors to get into bunkers, but they were welded shut.
I think StarGate was inspired by the German grifter Erich von Daniken's book Chariot of the Gods. The same goes for Ancient Aliens. It's all great fiction, though Ancient Aliens would have been fine with just one season.
Ancient Aliens can be entertaining, plus it’s given us some pretty funny memes. It’s only entertaining because of how outlandish it is though, crazy to think that some idiots believe it.
There’s a video about that on this channel somewhere
Fiction. You poor sod...keep believing that.
Wait, Darkseid is pronounced dark side?
Sheesh, the name sounds so much cooler the other way.
Want to taste my dark seed?
First time watching this channel. It's nice to see the more relaxed side of Simon. I had a good time and laughed a lot.
Truly the testament to Whistler's CZcams Empire is that he survived the "McKultra" and "Darkseed" scandals.
I remember stumbling across this on a wikipedia binge one night, at the time the Wikipedia page was roughly what was mentioned in this.
I remember there being references to Nikola Tesla as well.
Then a while later I decided to go back for a reread and there was a shit ton of new stuff added that went into stuff that allegedly happened, wormholes to other planets, monsters trying to invade through them, friendly aliens we traded technology with...
Pretty sure these are just episodes of Stargate SG-1.
Then Wikipedias editors cleaned it up and removed everything.
Or was it the men in black 👀
I seen the name and immediately assumed torture experiments but came in looking for a hopeful bedtime story.
Wrong Montauk.
Years before Stranger Things, I remember watching a sci-fi channel anthology about this. It was driving me crazy watching Stranger Things and trying to remember what the anthology series was.
That golden horse resembles the Demon Horse of Denver International Airport.

Nah... All you really need is to try to learn to speak Latin. I did and summoned 4 demons in half a hour... So I gave up. 😐
As someone who’s had both Rocky Mt Spotted Fever and Lyme, they do NOT have to be attached for you to become infected! I didn’t have a bite when I caught either, but 2 weeks before testing positive for RMSF I’d picked a crawler off my leg. I squashed it with my fingernail and went on about my day. Moral of the story, don’t squish them and wash your hands after handling any tick!!!
I didn't know I got bit either, it was January in Chicagoland and the ticks were supposed to be freezing in hell where they belong. My best guess was that I got bit while cleaning out my grandma's yard after she passed
I got that around 11-12yrs old and it was horrible! Staring as what looked like nothing but a minor skin rash. On my lower stomach. But within days, I was covered in large, red, patches. From my neck to legs. I'd wake up itching all over and scratching 'till I nearly bled.
The thing that gets me the most is that Simon is always flabbergasted and bewildered about truly common knowledge stuff I mean it's like he makes himself out to be the most sheltered person on the planet I bet he's got dead bodies hanging in his closet or buried house
My sister is one of the earliest cases of Lyme disease from before it was known about. It was diagnosed as so many other things first. She still has long term effects, so I feel sorry for Simon’s friend. trivia: Lyme disease is named after Lyme, Connecticut (CT), where it was first actually diagnosed. CT is across the Long Island Sound from where we grew up on Long Island. It’s so close that you can see CT from the bluffs of Long Island and birds fly back and forth. On more Long Island trivia, troops coming back from the Spanish American War were quarantined at a hastily built field hospital at Montauk. There were so many troops that they couldn’t be in the base so we’re in tents.
I remember reading that Montauk Project in the mid 90’s and it was fun and fascinating with eerie grainy photos of the filled in bunkers … it was a fun read but it read like a VERY self-published work including some grammatical errors and such … - *note to editors Simon do not read lol*. I would love to hear Simon read about the conspiracy theorist Bill Cooper, author of Behold a Pale Horse and frequent contributor to US AM radio show Coast to Coast with Art Bell … his conspiracies are fun, but his actual life reads like a spy novel lol
It's always fascinating to see different hosts covering the same subjects from different points of view. AJ and HeckleFish have already done a Why Files episode about the Montauk Project. Now I want to see what Answers with Joe has to say about it, or Wendigoon or Mr. Ballen. And if Arran Lomas hasn't already done a Thoughty2 video about it I'll give him a few minutes...😉

My dad told me stories of when he was in the military in the 70's-80's. They were a mobile unit setting up, and packing down defencive sites. They had this radar to detect enemy planes. You could cook sausages with its waves.
Ticks can transmit Lyme, Rocky Mountain, babesiosis, and ehrlichiosis in under an hour after attachment.
It's fun to have all of these at the same time. Lyme and RMSF work together and do some interesting things to your neurology. Lyme gives you arthritis. RMSF gives you muscle fatigue.
Yes, it's as fun as you imagine.

Why do you have such a detailed, great story, knowing the Pat Nichols story, not to mention that this is well known by many people. Why tell the whole story if you're sneering and remarking you don't believe it? I watched a video of some people who were there, the guinea pigs, and they go back to Montauk base. The one filming the various rooms there would narrate what each room was used for and it was very similar to what a few ex Super Soldiers (who had memories resurface) have told about. They were part of the Secret Space Program. I think it started in the 1970s.

...maybe they're just trying to make enough MONEY to GET BACK ON their MEDS, since US Healthcare is sooooo darn expensive? I'm living for Simon yelling "Get back on your meds!"
During World War II the United States Navy bought most of the east end, including Montauk Manor, to turn it into a military base. Fort Pond Bay became a seaplane base. The U.S. Army established Camp Hero with 16-inch (410 mm) guns to protect New York shipping lanes. Several concrete bunker observation posts were built along the coast, including one immediately to the east of the Montauk Lighthouse. Base buildings were disguised so they would appear from above as a New England fishing village.
How come Decoding The Unknown isn't on the "channels" list of any of the other channels? It's such a good channel. Surely it can replace XPLRD can't it? Ya know, since nothing has been posted there in over a year? Idk, I don't run the Fact Boy Empire, I guess there's a reason.
That Nazi gold train story has been around a long time, there's a movie about it made back in 1964 called, The Train. It's actually a pretty decent movie.
There's also several documentary type films about it... Although most historians think it's just an urban legend.
Fun, but not factual.

There's a local crazy guy here in Kenai Alaska who writes and self published wackadoo conspiracy books that would make wonderful topics for videos on this channel. His name is Hank Kroll. I've thumbed through some of his work before and saw things like secret Nazi bases on the moon where they work with the US government to refine gold dust into immortality elixir, or how dinosaurs aren't real but giants are and all the bones we've found have been humanoid giants. It's truly baffling bananatown bullshit and I love it.
I had no idea there's a vaccine for Lyme Disease. Thank you Simon for that information.
There is no vaccine for Lyme, at least in the US. LYMERix was discontinued by the manufacturer in 2003 (maybe 2002).
Pfizer and Valneva have a candidate (VLA15) in Phase 3 human trials, but it’s not available to the public.
Yeah I don’t think there is. Otherwise my whole family would’ve gotten in because we live near the woods.

"...I'd like to drink a beer and take a pill..."🤣🤣🤣
Simon just increased my respect for him by a billion % when he said “ I don’t follow cartoons,I don’t like cartoons and that marvel crap sucks ass “ ( I’m paraphrasing here) !!! 🤣🤣🤣 More intelligent people who have a voice need to add to that sentiment any time they can ! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I hate conspiracy theories, but I love the way you folks shred them. Legend, Katy.
Well, ignorance is bliss they say.
I loved the summon a coke bit LMAO.
living so close to camp hero and knowing all the stories, it's so hard to resist trying to explore places like this
'Drugs are real'. Yes. Yes, Simon, they are. One of the many things for which I am grateful 😎🇬🇧
2:20 I know a woman who was left needing a wheelchair for 5-6 years due to some mystery illness. Spent all this time failing to be properly diagnosed in the UK. Went to the US and got diagnosed immediately with Lymes disease, got a prescription and came back home. She's perfectly fine now (stopped needing the wheelchair almost immediately) with medication but, has had to pay for it all privately due to the foreign diagnosis.
Edit: 10:00 Simon, the pill you're after isn't a pill, it's cannabis. Cannabis increases the absorption rate of alcohol into the bloodstream. (It also works the same way with alcohol increasing THC absorption)
But alcohol and cannabis won't really counter each other
@@dimadobrik4516 No, but that's not what he wanted. He wanted something that would make 1 beer feel like 3 beers.
This would almost do that and just have the side effect of getting high.
I been to this place as a teenager its kinda creepy.
