    I have had this pump on my pool for two years now and it has operated absolutely flawlessly! If I remember correctrly I paid $700 for it on Amazon, 5 stars!

    The 5 year warranty is unmatched by any of the big three competing manufacturers as well. This pump is getting rave reviews everywhere I turn. Great video.

    Hey, great video. Just got my B&D 2 hp pump and love it! Don’t forget the plural for “RPM” is “RPM” which is Revolutions per Minute - not “RPM’s” as RPM’s would be Revolutions per Minutes which doesn’t make any sense.

    Thanks for the unboxing. I just installed mine and very impressed. So quiet compared to dual speed 1 hp. Question: is the default settings on timer sufficient or will you customize it?

    • @rigbyspoolservices
      @rigbyspoolservices  Před 2 lety

      Do you have a salt system, heater or chlorinator?

    • @rigbyspoolservices
      @rigbyspoolservices  Před 2 lety

      I like to run a schedule something along the lines of 2300 (6hrs), 3000 (4hrs) and 1750 (14hrs). But it really varies based on the setup of your system and how much flow it needs for chlorination, heat and such. Ideally you want to turn over (filter) your water 3 times in a 24 hr period so if you know your flow rate (gpm) you can do the math and figure out the min run time and/or speed to accomplish that

      I’ll be doing the install and testing it this Wednesday- I’ll record the process and post that as well. The install will be a breeze as it’s already designed to be a drop-in for the most popular models. I saw a ton of great reviews on Amazon, but I’m anxious to try it myself. I’ll keep you updated

    if it's a 1.5 hsp how is it running 3450? you need a 3.5 hsp pump to run it at that rpm or is it a temp 3450 speed

    • @rigbyspoolservices
      @rigbyspoolservices  Před 2 lety

      I’m not certain as to what your question is exactly? This is a variable speed pump, so despite being 1.5hp it’s still capable of running at 3450rpms on the high end, but can be turned down to run at lower speeds as well.

    I have been looking at this pump. I have a 28,000 gallon pool with 2 inch plumbing. Equipment is about 20 feet from the pool. I currently have a super 2 2hp Hayward. What size Black & Decker pump would you recommend? I don’t want to oversize if I don’t have to. No heater and a waterfall. Legacy pressure cleaner with booster.

    • @rigbyspoolservices
      @rigbyspoolservices  Před 2 lety

      2hp would be okay, but 3 May he better- what model filter do you have

      @rigbyspoolservices  Před 2 lety

      @@dougmann5362 the great thing though about a Vsp is that you won’t run it on high much- if at all. It’s sometimes better to go large and run it half speed versus the other way around.

    How is the build quality compared to The big 3, pentair , Jandy, etc? And you said it can fit right where the Pentair Whisperflo is? I currently have a Whisperflo single speed pump :) thanks

    • @rigbyspoolservices
      @rigbyspoolservices  Před rokem +1

      It’s a direct drop in for the whisperflo, sometimes need to change the connections but this one has 2inch interior threaded or comes with union connections. The build quality feels relatively similar- the wet end does feel a bit more “plastic-y” but the back end feels the same. For the price, it’s a badass pump.

    • @bludika
      @bludika Před rokem

      @@rigbyspoolservices i see, thanks bro. The price and performance is really attractive for sure, i've been life long Pentair user, nothing wrong with the brand, if i can save close to $500-700 on a pump that does just as good, and quality is still comparable, i think it looks promising. So you think the wet end plastic body is a bit less durable as Pentair? i wonder if they sell the wet end body, in case it cracks or breaks, and there is the 5 year warranty still right.

    • @rigbyspoolservices
      @rigbyspoolservices  Před rokem

      They do have the 5 year warranty and they would ship you a whole new front end if needed. I know I asked for some spare parts to keep on hand and they loaded me up. Haven’t needed them though

      @@rigbyspoolservices nice thats great to hear. B&D has been around a long time as a company, so i expect good customer service if necessary, good to see they're great at sending you parts. I think once my whisperflo dies, this is a very promising choice.
