Great to see that Armoury Crate is finally sorting out a lot of the issues that the software had. No longer is it the buggy piece of poo it was, its maturing and turning out to be quite useful. RGB should be banned though hahaha. Thanks Mike and Kath.
Nice video on how to setup fans. Just finding out about Armory Crate, if it hasn't already it needs a customable display for a Senor Screen. Since the software already controls everything, with a customable display it would be the one app for all. Less background apps the better.
I agree Armoury Crate has improved and hoping it continues too. It still uses system resources but to a lesser extent now. Be aware of the bloat software it always defaults to download though.

On the function of Fan Xpert 4 in Armoury Create i have a question.Can i use custom profiles that i have created from Fan Xpert 4 in different scenarios that I will create in < Scenario Profiles>? For example, I create two different scenarios and call them a and b. I also create two different custom fan profile on Fan Xpert 4 and call them a1 and b2. i want when script is run that fan profile is enabled automatically and not manually. Accordingly I want when the script is run the fan profile is activated automatically. I own a b550 motherboard and I don't have this option in armoury create.
@@mikesunboxing Thank you very much for the answer, if you try it and it works please let us know. This feature(Fan Xpert 4) is only for chispet b650 and x670 and some intel motherboards. I personally have a motherboard(asus rog b550xe) where the Fan Xpert 4 is not included in the armoury create but in the AI Suite 3. The Al Suite 3 you can create custom fan profile but you cant choose them in different scenarios. I know it exists Turbo App but this does not work for custom fan profile.
Thank you for this good explaining video. However, there is some basics I have difficulty with, and it is the purpose of these different "profiles" or modes, Silent, Standard, Turbo and Full Speed. For Bios, you also got "Manual". What is the default setting? Can some systems in the PC change this profile for some reason? Is the user expected to change these profiles, while they use the machine and dependent on how they think the current situation is?
the purpose of the profiles are like presets on a radio, they are for different tastes or in this case noise and fan speeds. the standard setting is about as close as you can get to a "default" setting which should be suitable for the majority of users with a balance of cooling and noise.

How stupid am i? I did the bios fan test then set curves and didnt understand why curve wudnt allow low speeds🙄 plus set in bios & when rechkd wud always be diff. is this good for gaming as well? My son and i play a lot of fortnite and warcraft... when fixing the fans.. .they seem louder. i cant stand the loudness but stops the game from crashing.. before then.. game started crashing for a month. i just wanna get rid of the noise.. so is this good for gaming wise?
the games like fortnite especially really hammer the CPU so it needs the extra cooling, if you don't like the noise it makes to try and keep the CPU cool, then you will need to use a CPU cooler that is able to soak up a lot more heat than your current one

My case fans speed is not showing up in Armoury crate... I use Meshify 2 XL case - 3 front fans, 1 at the back - all without PWM, all of them pluged into HUB - Hub is plugged into case fan 2 on the motherboard Asus TUF GAMING X670E-PLUS WIFI In BIOS everything looks good FAN 2 speed is showing up, however in Armoury Crate FAN 2 is greyed out - i do not know how to fix that

i have same motherboard, in my bios settings, its shows my cpu fan and , another fan, i have 1 exhaust 120mm fan , and two 140mm fans in front, how come it only shows 2 fans in bios, ? is there a way to rescan again
@siralitis Maybe you can try doing an in place upgrade from the windows 10 media creation tool page. When it asks if you want to upgrade choose that option - and backup anything important before hand just in case! We have a guide here czcams.com/video/RpLox4z5Qkk/video.html
ASUS ProArt Z690 doesn't even show me fan speed, even though they are working, but I can't control speed. 4 pin pwm plugged into MB 4 pin connector. Amory crate or AI suite or bios does not show fan speed, so I am assuming the MD doesn't see them

hey Mike I want to know if only the AM5 motherboard supports built-in fan xpert in Armory Crate, because my motherboard is C8DH and I cannot find fan xpert, so I had to download another AI suit3 to find fanxpert

@@mikesunboxing its not loud but i dont know what the best curve is for then fans ... i made a fan cuve for the gpu and the temp dropped like 10 degrees i undervolted cpu the temp dropped like 15 degrees

honestly not sure if that would work, but sounds possible, would need to try it really to verify fully and it is often motherboard dependent

ai suite is a standalone app where armoury crate is a home for all the individual apps

yes by defualt armoury crate and the fan control run as a background service so the software doesn't need to be running as such

if you have any fan control software installed that overrides the BIOS settings, so remove Fan xpert or armoury crate if installed

Might be worth checking if the water levels are okay, or set the pump to start at maybe 50 percent and gradually increase as the cpu gets hotter

some older boards don't support fan xpert via armoury crate for some strange reason

how are fans connected to the motherboard? if they go to a hub then to the motherboard it will count the hub as one fan

bet you aint done this with the 7800x3d jumps around and makes fans jump up and down
you are right i haven't. But i might suggest turning off PBO and core enhancement to reduce those spikes

Pretty sure Fan Xpert4 is only available on B650 and above boards. My X570 doesn't have it available.
yes you will have fanxpert 3 or 4 as part of AI suite (we did a separate video on that also)

I did the auto fan tuning and now my fans are constantly ramped up to max I can’t even change it
make sure the headers are set to the correct PWM or DC setting

How do i get fan xpert into Armoury Crate? I can only install the old version through my software. I have 5.8.6.0 version of Armoury Crate.
Is it only available on newer motherboards? I have B550-E i think.

yes that is okay. For some weird reason some motherboards don't support it inside armoury crate

fanxpert can only be active when Windows is loaded, you will need to adjust the fans in the bios for anything pre boot
For some reason, my BIOS only recognizes my CPU fan, and not my seven case fans.
