Absolutely agree. I loved that she didn’t just walk into situations and take them over while kicking 250 pound men 30 feet through a brick wall. She had to struggle to adapt, and got her a** kicked, a lot. Her journey to become a person who can adapt and survive on the surface was so fun to watch. Knowing that she actually played the games and researched the lore just made me like her so much more.

Most of the lore was kept intact, and it was one hell of an easter egg hunt for us that are fans since fallout1 first came out. dont let media control your opinions by following the masses. Think for yourself, question authority. yeah, the show was slow as hell, but i enjoyed seeing all of the easter eggs. in the end, it was a lot better than what disney has been doing to our once beloved movie and comic characters.
She was spot on about the sheer absurdity of the Fallout Universe sometimes. This makes me think she has at least tried to familiarize herself with it.
This is what fans want, an actor who actually cares about what they're making and respects the source material. It was a joy to actually see an interview like this.

@vond5829 I was born in the 80's during the rise of video games and the arcade and I would have to disagree. Many games were not really intended for children. Some of them were ridiculously hard. Not to say they weren't popular among kids, but I don't think they were originally the target audience.

Those games were made hard on purpose because they thought that a harder game would make them kids playing for longer. Especially the arcades, which basically charged by attempts. Adults are much more likely to give up on hard games because we have restraints and responsibility

From the first episode alone, they KNOCKED IT OUT OF THE PARK. 10/10 adaptation. Huge Fallout fan and the use of Fallout soundtracks and accurate decoration and details from the games. So many Easter eggs. Loved it.
@@Bodya_CN They actually do in later episodes. At one point I heard the Fallout 4 menu screen theme music, and they also use some of the fiddle music from radio Freedom a couple of times. I'm sure there's a couple of others I'm missing, but they do make very good use of all the music from the games.
It is so refreshing to have a strong female character that is not just likeable but adorable. This cast has great chemistry and obviously enjoys making the show.

Ella, did a great job too. I am glad she went back and played Fo 4 i think? For her research into the role, it shows. This show is what the witcher SHOULD have been.

This show was legit one of the best live-action videogame adaptations I've ever seen binged the whole thing in 2 days. Got teary eyed a few times, mostly because of the music. They knew what they were doing with this one and actually looked at the games and the vibe they set. They nailed it. I heard there were some inconsistencies with New Vegas but I've honestly never finished the game. Only got into it with Fallout 4, which I've finished a bunch of times. After that I tried 3 and NV but as I said, never finished them. I have played quite a bit of Fallout 76 (recently, because it was shit for years) as well. Needless to say, my knowledge is going purely off of what I've experienced
Actors like her and the writers respecting the material is why they've done so well. It isn't hard.... this is the format. Love her. Looking forward to Arcane season 2 as well.

Shame though Tim Cain couldn't at least be involved somehow as maybe an advisor or something, like so much of the iconic stuff in Fallout originated directly from Tim himself.
Always nice to see professionals who take pride in their art and the lore behind the project. They didn't have to do this, but they respected the material enough and it showed in the show, imo.

She actually surprised me with her character Lucy. The times her and Goggins were on the screen together were the best part of the show. I wouldn't be disappointed if they keep this one going for a few more seasons.
She really managed to hold her own in scenes with veteran actors such as Michael Emerson, Kyle McLachlan and Walton Goggins. I really hope she gets more recognition for her talent.
I barely made it through the Fallout show, but I will say I respect that the actors are not blasting the fans and attacking the fans. Ella is showing the work she put into the show and is also showing that she wants people to watch it. See Amazon how easy it is to have actors and actresses not attack the fanbase? Maybe take some notes for season 2-5 of Not Lord of The Rings: Rings Of Power.
This is what happens when the Director, the writers and the actors respect and follow the source material. You get a great show! This is what Henry Cavil was talking about when he did The Witcher. Sadly The Witchers directors and writers was too dumb to understand that. It could have been an great show like Fallout if not even better cause Henry Cavil is amazing as an actor.
I think she did an amazing job as Lucy (or possibly Goosey). The way her character goes from extremely naive to slowly learning more and becoming more likely to survive in the wasteland is well done. She is also very funny, but not in a way that undermines the show's tone or more serious moments (like a certain MCU has been doing lately). It's obvious that she and the others involved in the project understand the source material and wanted to do it justice.
Could this hopefully(hopefully) be a wake up Call for studios? I mean its right in front of you. Amazon must have learned now, with the backlash from ROP & now they see the reception for Fallout. The other studios that delivered Halo, Witcher(& that other one), Resident evil etc etc. I mean its right in front of you what direction is better. Xmen 97 aswell is getting praise. The media don't like those people. How can they say we hate women when we love characters like her... So they try to keep those actors down.
Ella Purnell , like wow ' Not really seen much of her before this but for a female actor / person, she just is so infectious to listen to.

She actually surprised me with her character Lucy. The times her and Goggins were on the screen together were the best part of the show. I wouldn't be disappointed if they keep this one going for a few more seasons.
She really managed to hold her own in scenes with veteran actors such as Michael Emerson, Kyle McLachlan and Walton Goggins. I really hope she gets more recognition for her talent.
The whole cast did pretty damn good. Ella will most likely be showing up in more shows, and I'm all for it. She did great

I barely made it through the Fallout show, but I will say I respect that the actors are not blasting the fans and attacking the fans. Ella is showing the work she put into the show and is also showing that she wants people to watch it. See Amazon how easy it is to have actors and actresses not attack the fanbase? Maybe take some notes for season 2-5 of Not Lord of The Rings: Rings Of Power.

This is what Henry Cavil was talking about when he did The Witcher. Sadly The Witchers directors and writers was too dumb to understand that. It could have been an great show like Fallout if not even better cause Henry Cavil is amazing as an actor.

I think she did an amazing job as Lucy (or possibly Goosey). The way her character goes from extremely naive to slowly learning more and becoming more likely to survive in the wasteland is well done. She is also very funny, but not in a way that undermines the show's tone or more serious moments (like a certain MCU has been doing lately).
It's obvious that she and the others involved in the project understand the source material and wanted to do it justice.
And they knocked it out of the park. Can't wait for season 2

I mean its right in front of you. Amazon must have learned now, with the backlash from ROP & now they see the reception for Fallout. The other studios that delivered Halo, Witcher(& that other one), Resident evil etc etc. I mean its right in front of you what direction is better.
