    I used to fly the mu-2 ! You got me convinced with the prop locks hehe going to buy right away good job !

    Just little stuff, but typical startup EGT temps are 650-750 and you should see fuel flow before ignition, so FF rises then look for EGT taking off with engine rotation. Also make sure to turn both gen's on with a battery start to help shed the load, then switch to the operating side after a couple of seconds. You risk popping the main bus tie if she pulls more than 200 amps on the recharge.

    Hey there.... I left a comment and question about the Cessna 441 cause I was having trouble starting the airplane. I am also having problems starting the MU-2. Right engine doesn't even begin to start at all, left engine I can get to 12 percent and then nothing, it just stops there. Any ideas? Thanks!......absolutely awesome airplane. Oh, also not sure how to turn on GARMIN GNS OR GTN.

      +MXA057 hey MXA057, with the mu-2, watch a video on the start-up procedure of the airplane in real life. The startup checklist is not correct. With the 441, when you shut it down, you need to put the engines in reverse, then kill the fuel. That was from a family friend who use to own one. By putting the throttles in reverse, the props begin to go into beta, which allows the props to be "flat". If they aren't flat then they create too much drag and the starter will not finish the process in order to save the engines from over torque

      My idea is that you might want to get some real training first. Get to know the guys at Tulsa Jet. Its been a while but in my day they were the best in the business. Malcolm Drinkwater knows the airplane like the back of his hand at Conroe Tx. Tell him I sent you and hello.

      -10, -6, -5, or -1. Woodward or bendix? -8 is different on the Conquest.

      I can't help with the Garmin, but make sure your fuel shututoff switches are turned on. Max RPM you'll get on just the starter is about 11-12%, if fuel isn't introduced you won't get light off. RCS to Run, air start and safe to the correct side, look for fuel flow and check your ignition.

    This is a nice presentation although the engine start was not correct. It appears you only had voltage on one battery during start. The 200 amp bus tie appreared to be popped due to only one side showing voltage. You did a cross generator start which is not allowed. You failed to put both generator switched in the on position after the first start in order to keep from over amping the generator. (limitation). The voltage was not checked prior to start. No bus tie check was performed after start and not governor check was performed before the props were taken off the locks.
    I must say your graphics are nice and voice is clear however, would it not be much better for the viewers to use the required regulatory checklist and conduct the engine start correctly. It is good to point out that this airplane operates under SFAR 108. The checklist, profiles, explanded procedures, etc are actually regulatory and must be complied with during all phases to include engine start. When something is put out to the public in error, that is when safety issues come into play.
    I would suggest redoing the video and making it correct to better serve pilots and the public.

    You forgot to do the feather valve check prior to engine start. Critical check. While depressing the feather valve you bring the condition lever to emer stop and check for the nts light to extinguish. This proves you are dumping the oil from the prop hub and are capable of fully feathering the propeller in the event of an engine failure

      Engine starts fine without an NTS check which does not require selecting emergency stop! Where do you people get trained!!

      I'm pretty sure i read it somewhere, can't find it anymore. The MU 2 has two GPS options, the GNS530 withs can be turned on by hoovering the mouse ove the left upperhand knob marked C and turnning the mousewheel. It all so controls brightness of the display. The GTN750 only works if you have the Flight1 add on installed.
      In aircraft selection you can choose the one you want to use.

    I wish you would have made this simulator for something else other than fsx Microsoft is always hard to deal with I wish you could have made it for X-Plane
