    Hey! Can u please answer a doubt? As an international student, will i be eligible to practice as a lawyer in UK after completing LLB degree from bristol? Or are there any other exams which I have to clear in order to work as a solicitor?

    • @chloehunkin
      @chloehunkin  Před 3 měsíci

      hi! i am not sure if it differs for international students but for home students you have to go to law school after you get your degree, but because llbs are practicing law courses you do one less year than people without one :)

    any advice for a first year law student? I’m really struggling with motivation and keeping up with my readings

    • @chloehunkin
      @chloehunkin  Před 10 měsíci +3

      i struggled a lot in first year too - the amount of reading u are set is crazy compared to a-levels! in hindsight, the best advice i can give is pay attention to the videos and lectures so that you don't have to thoroughly read everything you are set. you aren't expected to remember every part of the reading so you can afford to skim read to get a general understanding of definitions, cases, acts etc. in terms of motivation, surrounding yourself with hardworking people and studying in cute cafes or libraries helped me. if you are really struggling with keeping up with the workload and feeling overwhelmed, don't be afraid to reach out to your personal tutor or the leader of ug law - they helped me so so much and we're very accommodating! i hope this helps :)

    Hi, I'm Roque Louie, a deaf person with a disability from the Philippines, Davao Oriental Provinces. May I ask you a question? Is law school really difficult? Does law school require a master English grammar? I am worried that I might fail the entrance exam because my English grammar is not good, and I have more vocabulary words in law school. I am terrified of law school. Because law school is very difficult for 4 or 5 years. How can you afford to pay for law school and rental months, meals, and law school needs? I know law school tuition fees are very expensive. What is your advice or suggestion to me? I'm just asking for information. Please kindly reply to me. Thank you!

      hi!! law school is hard but it's definitely worth it if you are interested in learning more about the theoretical side of law. if you want to be a lawyer after uni there is always the option of studying something else and doing a conversion course after! i recommend that you have a look at the language requirements on the uni that your interested in's website but i'm pretty sure that speaking some english is necessary to study at bristol. uni is defo expensive, but there are grants/loans/bursaries that you can apply for to help with university costs. i hope that this helps :)

    im starting at bristol uni law next year but living at home, how do you find it with socialising, etc?

    • @chloehunkin
      @chloehunkin  Před 8 měsíci +1

      i didn't always do uni remotely - i did the first two years of my degree in bristol! if you are living from home close to/in bristol then i really recommend joining creative and extracurricular societies. u meet so many like-minded people and it helps u maintain a work/life balance. if you live far away from bristol like me, i am still trying to figure that one out myself!!

    Hey Chloe! I’m wondering that is there many Asian or more specifically Chinese students in Bristol law faculty ? Im gonna study in Bristol several months later, a little bit nervous about the life in law school. Thanks a lot

      i don't know exact numbers, but from my experience bristol law school is incredibly multicultural! i have met quite a few people from east/south-east asia who study law :)

      Not a law student but I was born in Bristol and have lived here my entire life, there are plenty of East Asian and South Asian people here, as far as I’m aware little to no racism. Unfortunately there is a lot of racism towards Middle Eastern/people who are Muslim but that’s mostly the older generation.
