Nick said it's got a '72-80 400 motor. 1970-72 were 4 bolt mains, '73-80 were 2 bolt mains. Hopefully it's a 72 motor. Sounds like it still goes GOOD. Likely it came out of an Impala or a truck. I bet this car started life as a 6 cylinder. Harvest Gold with GREEN interior? Never saw that combo before. Saw a special order '68 Malibu once that was Turquoise with a GOLD interior. Stinger COWL hood??? On a NOVA??? Gotta TAKE THAT THING OFF!!! Definitely NOT a Yenko Nova, or even a good Yenko clone!! Still, it's a pretty clean car. Horn DOESN'T work, and NO TRANSMISSION SPLASH PAN COVER!!! I'd pay REAL MONEY for a car where it had BOTH of those present!!! Thanks again NIck
The deck surface will crack before the main caps bust. These blocks are notorious for cracking between the threaded holes for the head bolts and the water jacket. If you rebuild one you are better off heli-coiling all the head bolt holes right off the bat. They are very poor castings. Still very useable though. Just have to know the weak spots.
Some old guys like me do it for the gas mileage and if you want more power than shift it. For they let the horse power do the rest .For I like your comment and I hope that tells you the rest of the story.
One car I would've like to see the kick down working. She runs out nice Scoop is kinda cool. Shades of BB Vette. Man I just couldn't get behind the interior color, but a solid Nova.
I had a blue 72 just like that back in 1978 nice cars but I love the Olds Cutlass that was my favorite car of all times but that was a great nova thanks for the memory lol👍
Sounds like it has a pretty loose torque converter. It flashes nicely, too bad there's no tach cause I couldn't hear the difference between it flashing and when you downshifted. Perhaps that's why they didn't connect the cable. I see it's loose from a pic on the web site. It seems to 'go' in any case.
Much prefer the Chevy II body style;but I've owned two Nova's: '70 &'72. There just comfort food....both had a 327 V8- pretty, solid cars! The only issues I had: drum brakes are moisture sensitive, have a high rust capacity in the rear quarter panels/back winshield/trunk pan....unless garage kept & babied + some transmission slippage(unless rebuilt). But HEH - "CLASSIC CARS/RESTORATION IS HALF THE FUN,unless you've got the $$$. However;on this one: that retro green interior has to go🧐.
went to a car show after work today, had to see the local 69 camero fake ass yenko . 2 or 3 shows every year, this same damn car. hate " tribute " crap .
Woof, the colors and patterns of that era were hideous! I'm not a Nova fan but when I saw "400" I had to watch. Some Nova fan is gonna love this car. Strong motor for sure. You guys ever considered adding a 0-60 time in each video? Just a thought lol. Love seeing the classics! Thanks!!!😊
Too bad they put that dumb hood scoop on it I have a 70 SS big block car all original with 4 speed 396 BB and about 46,000 miles on it special order car probably worth close to $100,000 I don’t know what that must have been a 6 cylinder car looks like to me

We had a cheyII nova, 327, bought in Greenville, S.C.
Don’t understand why people don’t hook up kickdown
I say that every time. I think that should be the new game instead of “Do you think the horn works?”

@@koolkatkustomdiecast801 they just want cruise. Not be fast / race.
Great looking nova. I would buy it and drop in a 502 bored, stroked , thumper cam with turbo
seems like this one is making alot of noise, but not really going anywhere. if you know what i mean
Love the body color steel wheels with poverty caps. That combo never gets old no matter what classic they're on.
Very nice, big Nova Fan . Love the sleeper look. Had 5 Nova's 68, 70, 72, 75, 63. That should sell quickly for you.
That green interior is sooooo, 70's!!!!~
Green was a popular color for interiors back then, I must of owned a dozen cars with that green interior.
Absolutely love this car! When I was a kid, Novas were just cheap transportation, but lately I’m really digging them, especially the V8s.
One car I would've like to see the kick down working. She runs out nice Scoop is kinda cool. Shades of BB Vette. Man I just couldn't get behind the interior color, but a solid Nova.
This Nova is sweet and like a peach on a tree, she is ripe for the picken.
Love the car i built a 72 & a 69 nova .
Never been a huge Nova fan, but kinda I like this one. You guys always find good cars.
I had a 1973 Ford Maverick red, with red plaid bench seat, three on
a tree manual. Loved it. Even with the 6 cylinder, It really booked.
I had a blue 72 just like that back in 1978 nice cars but I love the Olds Cutlass that was my favorite car of all times but that was a great nova thanks for the memory lol👍
Sweet Nova and very healty to boot. Lots of good go fast parts and an excellent foundation for a bad ass street machine!! It'll sell quickly no doubt!
Tasteful build, can do without the Yenko stripe, or at least the Yenko name.
Sounds killer but the Yenko stripes and scoop need to goooooo🫣
I had a 65 nova in 2006. Paid $ 500 for it. It had brand new clutch and fresh rebuilt motor
Color combo is horrible on that thing
I like that car
Nice sleeper flywheel cover theif got it but ready to go cruise right now I think id take the yenko stripes off

Beautiful ol Nova. Will make a good cruiser.
Nice gold color. The interior tho... No seat belts..Hope those fans don't work like half of the cars on here 😁👍🏼
Use the crank shaft and conneting rods out of this to build a sweet little stroker motor with the right 350 block. I like a 383 in a street car.
Looks good on the outside but, just my opinion, that interior is butt ugly!
Mouse. Rare and fun build. Great find guys!
Nice Nova
Nice Nova, thanks for sharing.
Classic.
Isnt that the seat belt.on ceiling, shoulder strap?
All that nova needs is some loven on the interior
Sweet ride 😎😎😎👍👍👍
Love that color with those wheels. The green interior, bench seat, and automatic on the wheel are neat, too.
Transmission sounds like its not shifting
Stall is what you are hearing
Nice ride Nick always love watching you videos mainly the Monday lot walks 👍 great job 😀

Hey Nick how is it going?! What Ray-Ban sunglasses are you wearing?!
