- My Brothers Keeper: The Birth of the Knights of Columbus
The United States in the Late-19th century was marked by hostility toward Catholic immigrants and dangerous working conditions in factories that left many families fatherless. Father Michael J. McGivney, the 29-year-old assistant pastor of St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, Conn., proposes a lay organization that would unite men of Catholic faith and provide for the families of deceased members. The Knights of Columbus is born.

My grandfather was a grand knight in the KofC. I think that's what his rank was. I don't really have access to that information anymore. The last person to talk to me about him was the guy who buried him.
My great uncle was a Knight of Columbus, and some of my cousins.
Such a rich history and such an epic creation.
