  • Knights of Columbus have served on the front lines of every war fought by the United States since the Order’s founding in 1882. There is a natural affinity between the virtues of military service and the Knights’ principles, and the Order has never wavered in its support for the armed forces. This legacy is explored in a new 40-minute documentary, Armed with the Faith: The Knights of Columbus and the Military.

Most won't know the FULL story behind The K of C let alone that in 1951 we were responsible for amending “Under God” into the U.S. Pledge of Allegiance. A year later in 1953 President Dwight Eisenhower signed it into law adding it into the pledge. Also, the K of C priests awarded the Medal of Honor the financial strength of the insurance and trusts provided to members and their families without which many of them would have been destitute due to exigent circumstances. And lots more. Like so much now this all too often ungrateful country is oblivious to this as well.

Bring back the old uniform! It was iconic and tradition is incredibly important! The new uniform is not good!

Fr. Vickory (May God rest his soul 🙏💖) who was my parish priest at the time...told me the reason he became a priest in the first place was because of his Army Chaplin in the war. Fr. Vickory said he always wanted & thought he would have a wife & kids. He said that after he saw how much God & God's word helped others through his Chaplin he decided that after the war he would Marry God and live it for him. He was a wonderful man and an amazing priest.

I suspect the word Columbus suppressed this inspiring video. Thankfully it was surely available from many other sources 🙏
