Who wins the trilogy and how?
leon edwards by ko 💪
I think volkanovski can beat Usman and Edwards same night without any break..he has dog 🐶🐕🐕🐕 in him man...he is built different from others..I think volkanovski beats #Usman by domination on the ground and he beats #LEON Edwards by #Head kick K.O ..that to unconscious.....he is built different men..!!!!!!!!!
Leon round 3 KO
Leon KO-TKO
Pabby pimpleb
That win by Leon is gonna be one of the most iconic KOs ever. Especially with that comment by Jon Anik
What comment?
@@comecarti2672 as the KO was happening he was saying how Leon was “down but not out.” Boom headshot.
@@comecarti2672 he said "but that is not the cloth of which he is cut" and then before he could get another word out usman was down
@@Nsaison all while dc and rogan counted him out
Lmao usman gunna come back with colby fight style take him down 40 times relentlessly pace
Big respect volk, one of the few people on broadcasts I heard actually giving Leon his due recognition. Seems empathetic considering you know what it feels like to be the underdog. Let’s go rocky 🏴
Leon will win on sunday
Good call Volk for acknowledging that the lightweight contenders are having a hard time getting into the top fights cause the big names at 155 keep fighting eachother. Big fan of Arman
Of course he says that, as someone who stifled literally everyone else in that division from having a title shot. Including those newer contenders... Its also worth noting that when Volk was in the top 5 of his own division, He never once fought anyone ranked lower than himself. So its a bit hypocritical.
@@navajo237 he earned a chance at moving up to challenge for the lightweight belt he was p4p and had defended his belt. Also, it doesn't make him a hypocrite when he was fighting to get his first title shot at the top of his division. The top of lw have had multiple shots and still are just fighting each other for another title shot. It's different.
True of course..Everyone can see it..but only a few say it .
@FightMilk And they haven't earned it? Plus it's not entirely true either to say they only fight each other, because literally no one in the top 5 has fought anyone else in the top 5 more than once. Fighting inside the top 5 means they've spent the last couple years fighting better opponents than the newer contenders. Take Fiziev for example. He has only had like 2 fights against ANY ranked opponents. That's total. Whats stopping him from fighting the other 8 or 9 guys ranked below him? Justin has had 10 fighting in the UFC. Every single fight has been against top 10 ranked opponents. Let them fight each other in the lower ranks and win more than 2 or 3 fight against ranked opponents for their shots like everyone else.
@@navajo237 You're not making sense. Of course Fiziev only has 2 ranked wins because all the top guys except Justin are ducking him man.
Also no, Dustin and Justin did not earn their title shots after beating old Conor and old Chandler out of their primes. Should've been Beneil.
Finally, Fiziev should not have to defend his rank against anybody, it's the veterans who do that.
Man, Volk has quickly become one of my favorites. He's dedicated, talented, intelligent, and so damn cheerful. That oretega fight was electric, an all time favorite of mine.
10/10 for the editing on this one, great stuff Volk!
“P4P HEADSHOT DEAD” hits the same every time 😂
Love the channel and the breakdowns. Big fan. Keep doing you volk. Much love from Illinois USA!
That’s a great point about the altitude. That definitely played a factor in the first fight since look at how gas tanks were getting depleted all through that card. The only one I can think of who didn’t gas out was Usman, the guy who trains at altitude. Leon definitely has a good chance to defend again since he also has the confidence. Good luck to anyone putting money on this fight
usman is also on that good ol juicy, EPO all day
@@avrazjuan ong
That wasn't the first fight, that was the second. The first fight went the way rounds 2-4 went in the second fight. Usman has dominated 6 of the 8 rounds they've fought each other. Lost round 1 and 5 of the second fight.
Thats the thing about altitude tho... usman is indeed used to that. But that also means that when he is fighting at regular levels, there is more oxigen availabe to him than what he is used to. Wich translates into an even better cardio. Thats why i dont think the altitude is gonna mean jack shit.
@@aapboy11 It doesn't work like that. You absorb the same amount of oxygen at altitude per breath as you do at sea level. The problem is your lungs need to work so much harder to get a similar volume of air into them as the air at altitude is lower density. While people that train at altitude all the time don't have to breathe as hard at sea level the biggest advantage comes when they fight at altitude against an opponent that doesn't live/train at altitude.
Look forward to these breakdowns before each fight!
Cant wait to see Volk back in there. By the end of his career, his legend will be ENORMOUS
So thoughtful with the entire card. No one does that. Much respect and appreciation!
spot fkn on alex! this is gonna be good one either way
100% best original take on that freshness in the first round. havent heard that anywhere. Newy NSW
A new channel to follow instantly! 🥳
thanks Champ. excellent breakdown and picks.
Awesome content as usual Champ!!!
What I like about Leon is he’s never really succumbed to pressure, it’s like it is never a factor for him. I hope it remains that way when he’s under the brightest lights he’s ever been under.
He was wallowing in the pressure between rounds, did you not listen to the corner chatter in the fight? He was devastated that he was losing.
@@breakawaybooks4752 no, he has said a few times that his body just wasn't responding cos of being tired from the altitude, and that he was trying to get it going again
@@breakawaybooks4752 I don’t consider than to be pressure related. If it was, he would have wavered as soon as the fight began. He didn’t start sleep walking until round 3. 2nd round was more competitive than people remember.
@@manfrombritain6816 That sounds like an excuse to me.
@@breakawaybooks4752 he won there is no excuses only explanations
I think what’s important as well is that Usman chucked everything he had at Leon and he wasn’t never even close to finishing Leon. Look how fresh Leon was even after Usman dominating for so long.
Frenchie Gang for life. Love the videos champ
this is how you do a REAL breakdown. You pick your possible winner instead of commenting both fighters and finally a person who took in account that altitude played a factor. From 1st to 2nd round of last fight Edwards shut down wihtout suffering major blows so I'm pretty sure it was altitude
I am 100% with you on top two fights! 👍👍
Did i find my new favorite fighter doing predictions and analyze the upcoming fights on youtube? I want to see Volk do some Cejudo breakdown with the screen and clips once he retire! Really good points he's making.m
Assessment is spot on
Volk was spot on with his Leon/Usman prediction.
Gonna be some awesome, very quick fights..
Alex became one of my fav fighter after 284.talk his talk walk his walk real champion i can hear his talk all day
All this time and I had no idea Alex had a CZcams channel
Volk breaks down the fight so well man. What a guy!
I think altitude did play a factor simply because how much it took its toll on Luke Rockhold also that night. Respect to Leon for still keeping true to his roots and shout out to you Volk because going up in weight and performing like you did against Makhachev was truly sensational, a fight for the ages that one, still p4p in this persons opinion.
Nah can't blame it on that bc that wouldn't effect Us man his Cardio comes from PEDs
I can't wait to see how you deal with Yair's unorthodox striking style.
This is the first breakdown of the main event I really agree with. I think people are really forgetting that first round, which shows you that Leon has all the skills to beat Usman, not just with a flash ko. If the altitude was indeed a factor, this could be a real showing for Leon. We'll just have to wait and see
Super excited for this one
Volk you are getting more and more comfortable in front of the camera! Your future is so bright my friend, and I mean beyond just fighting.
We train specifics, and all that type of stuff. 💪
As a Brit I’m so excited to see Leon hopefully win again and put the doubters to bed but my god that co main is going to be unreal 🔥🔥🔥
Definitely gonna steal the show I don't think it's gonna go all the way , someone is gonna get dropped
@@Melo_Soul 💯 agree
Great predictions champ! I'm thinking Leon's adjusted his game and will bring out a late round ko/tko unless Usman can pull out a submission
When is the last time Usman got a submission? Its been that long I can't even remember. His only keys to victory are a KO, which is highly unlikely because Leon is always set, never out of position or in a dangerous spot or more likely he will just wrestle Fuck him for 5 rounds and grind it out. Leon for me all day!
@@Jim-xh9dhthat would be something. First a KO and now submission!
Leon Edward scissorhands was almost in tears before the last rd because he knew he got dominated. Now he talks like he’s some great champion. Nate pillow fists diaz almost KO this chump. 🤡
@@len3169 lol
@@len3169 what a ridiculous comment. He was a little let down because the pressure was starting to get to him but he was snapped back into it by his coach and came back to put Usmans lights out bad. You’re seriously bringing up Diaz? The guy he absolutely outclassed for 23 minutes before letting up for a second and got a little wobbled by a sneaky shot? Your using the same logic against Leon that happened to Usman. Sure Leon was losing that fight against Usman but he was never out of it, just like Diaz was getting his leg chopped to pieces, outstruck and manhandled on the ground before landing a nice straight left. You can’t have it both ways little boy
Can’t wait for your next fight Champ
Fiziev finishing Moicano like that reminds me of watching Prime Tyson highlights
Nice one, thought you were gonna bottle it and go 50/50 there :) The big thing people forget (including some fighters and coaches) is there is more than one problem fighting at altitude. Everyone makes a big play on less oxygen but we don't even absorb all the oxygen in a breath at sea level. The biggest factor is air density is so much lower, you are inhaling much harder at all times just to try and fill the lungs, that is what causes the issues. A tent with variable oxygen levels doesn't address that. No one is training in a baro chamber so the only way to mimic conditions is train at altitude and Leon didn't do that.
While i have Leon all the way he needs to not sleep on Usmans power, the Masvidal knockout was no fluke. At sea level he will just get back up if Usman takes him down and poses a threat with his own grappling game, going to be a great fight.
That headshot doesnt get old
KAMARU pulls it off this time with DOMINANCE
Tehe 🫣
Crazy how spot on Volk was with some of the predictions damn. But I shouldn’t be so surprised either 😂
Alex should get a T-shirt named " All That Type Of Stuff"
Leon vs Usman 2 was such an iconic fight
babe wake up! The p4p number 1 best fighter in the world dropped a new video!
Jon Jones has a CZcams channel?
Mister Volk the best role model champ to the kids and let's not forget Leon Edwards, You guys make the sport a real sport. Much love from Canada mates!
I see Leon making adjustments tbh. It just depends on how much juice Usman is on.
Don’t worry! Leon will come doubly juiced this time
@@iamsamsam1265Leon’s dad isn’t the pharmacist 💉
Leon has one of the best physiques in the UFC. I wouldn’t doubt if he’s on PEDS either🤷🏽♂️
kamaru has an award for the most clean tests out of any ufc fighter
Ah here we go, a built in excuse once Leon loses lol
Leon by TKO, you will all call him "the knee jerker" after this.
QUESTION: does rafael have good grappling? ion know if y’all seen Gaethje’s training footage but he’s been wrestling like 10 rounds a day with Kamaru
It's 3am in Australia, the editor must have had a late light
If Gaethje wins this one, he is in the title shot fight again. It's a tough match up for him. I hope he brings out his wrestling too
@scum he decides not to use it. He was a national champ
@scum not something he cant work on hence my point
I didn’t realize half these fighters where on this card !
Totally agree with Volk - most people don't take confidence factor into consideration, but many fighters say it can bring Leon into the next level both physically and psychologically. Even you, man, Volk had 2 very close matches with Max but then the mixture of champion's mindset and real belt on your waist turned you into another kind of beast.
And also the knockout consequences for Usman are still not clear while he is not getting any younger and this kind of damage could have completely changed the way his brain reacts to getting punched.
So, if you think of this fight as same as before - for sure, Usman is more likely to win. But there are so many things that are different this time that Leon looks as a favourite.
I'll go for Leon and Justin!!🔥💪
thanks, mr volk!
Well said about Leon
The champ has spoken!
My picks exactly, Champ. 💪💪💪
It was the sleepy dog for me this time🐶
Im going with usman and he's gonna get back at edwards by knocking him out
Dear Volkman, absolutely more of these pls. Oh yessir!
Gaethje has a freakish chin. Its almsot to his detriment though. He has zero fear or getting hit because he knkws he can tske it and hes ok with eating yours to land his. I wish he would adapt and be a little more careful. Hes one of my all time favorites because of that style though
Hell of a breakdown thanks volk!
yes da boy alex
I am very curious about the fight between Usman und Leon. I think, both fighters will bring new stuff in it.
people out here forgetting Usmans knockout power man... look what he did to Burns... smh Saturday I got my popcorn ready!!!
I'm glad I listened the whole video to hear at the end Volk has faith in our Birmingham legend Rocky Edwards. Similar guys when it comes to the doubters too. Volk constantly proving to the world how good he is and Leon shocked the world after the most unlucky career of any top fighter in UFC. Love to all the aussies OI OI OI
Even in the build up I can still sense Leon wanting to be confident but still sensing unease. Of course I don’t know shit BUT to your point 9:15 I do think Usman going to wrestle him in a way will give Leon confidence for your exact reasons. Leon will know that’s Usman wanting to slow him down meaning he’s respectful of his head kick. In that last fight it’s almost like leon forgot how good his stand up is
"And all that type of stuff" 😂
I'd love to see leon more aggressive. He's got all the fire-power but usually sits vack and snipes.
Definitely leon has to push the pace.and try to back usman up.
Only tired Leon does that.
Yeah he was as a massive decision merchant before the Usman KO, somehow he was a striking version of belal lol, I hope that motivates him to get some good finishes
Ah shit I just found Volks yt channel and he has a fresh video out let's go
"It was the altitude." That doesn't explain what happened in their first fight where Usman dominated a three-round decision victory. So, it was either "Usman was a better fighter in the first fight, but Edwards leveled up and became the better fighter in the second fight until the altitude kicked in." Maybe, but not likely.
I know Kamaru was training at altitude but it seems like everyone bringing up how it impacted Leon act like Kamaru wasn’t fighting at the same altitude during that fight
It’s gonna be a hard night in the Whitman camp!
omg that's a cute doggo
I used to be a big Volk hater (I think probably because Max is one of my favorite fighters of all time) however, god damn has he made me a fan 🙌🏻 really good to see somebody having Leon’s back and giving him his flowers.. I feel like most people are writing him off but I’m really praying he gets it done 🙏🏼
I‘ve said the same to myself before reading your comment… i hated him because of the holloway fight, where i think max won, but now he is one of my favourite fighters . Love his personality
He won all 3 fights - second was very close tho came down to the third round
@@pkouls23 i didnt think that it was a robbery but in my opinion max won
@@Itachi_uchiha_93 I agree.. I feel like he won the first 3 rounds of the second fight however, he definitely put any doubt to bed with the 3rd one.. as much as it hurt to watch
£10k returns £184k on those picks. Nice work mate I owe you a beer, maybe see you at the arena 😎👍🏻
Would you agree that the ufc needs to add points for gettin up from a takedown especially if you get back to your feet quickly the takedown should be nullified I think ground control is way overrated when there is no submission attempts or ground and pound
Goddard getting a handful of Gunnar at the Jouban stoppage.
I can’t wait for ur rematch with Islam 🔥🔥🔥🔥
I’m a big fan of Islam but I’m a fan of you as well ur amazing person and amazing fighter ❤❤❤
Much love from Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦
Leon will do better and make it close, but I think Usman will get the decision. With Ali abdelaziz fighters you have to finish them or beat them very dominantly to win.
Nate give mercy to leon
That is an adorable frenchie
Great picks. If Justin wrestles I got him. I’m a little tired of hearing about altitude. You’re a professional fighter. It’s your job to train at high altitude if it makes you better and more prepared. Usman and tons of fighters have trained at high altitudes for decades for a reason. It makes you better at all altitudes. I’ve got usman. I think he’s gonna wrestle a lot and I I believe Leon’s takedown and control was a fluke courtesy of usman being caught off guard and off balance. I still believe Colby has the best shot of beating usman because of his wrestling. Colby just lacks power in his hands.
Jon Anik: That is not the cloth which he is cut
Also Anik 2 seconds later: NO WAYYYYY!!!!!
I think altitude was obvious, round 1 he was great and without any response from Usman or pressure in round 2 he was just dead to the world..
Interesting to see how Usman bounces back from that devastating KO loss to Leon in this rematch
Don't worry he will bounce off the mat after getting KO'd a second time.
@@AIKnowYou Leon fanboys are weird
^^^If you think that you better not be a Izzy fan then 😂😂
@@smallworldz7241 Alex potan...
Usman by round 3 tko, fiziev by decision, Nelson by round 2 sub, King Casey by decision, vettori by decision.
Bad take on Usman
Once you get KO'd you approach the game differently. Look for Usman to implement a GSP like game plan
i'd like to see Volk do commentary, think he'd be good.
Gaethje plz 🙏
Volkanovski is a true champion. I love this guy
And momma don't worry you raised a survivor 🗣
I disagree with Alex on the fact Leon winning that first round is because he was fresh. I think Leon won due to the element of surprise of the takedown. But Alex is right about how knockouts effect both fighters
The real mma guru
Totally get people thinking usman will win, 90% of signs point to yes…
But round 1 and 5… when Leon believes in himself he’s DANGEROUS.
Usman gets in his head easy but if Leon JUST maintains his confidence for 5 rounds he’s got a GOOOOOD damn shot
Volk knows his stuff!
I think Dolidze is gonna finish marvin and Casey O'neil might be in for some rude awakenings against maia
Good analysis by double champ volk. I counted leon out completely but now im not so sure. I still think usman will beat him down though
