like it or not siddharth always has been hit nd miss for me but his "gentlemen" will always been underrated project for me and i will die on than mountain.🙃
A Gentleman is class apart. Just the right amount slick action and humor in my opinion! Terribly panned for no reason at all!

I love Gentleman and a large credit goes to the directors and the late Amit Mistry who was a crackerjack. Love the screenplay but I think it failed coz nobody knew what to make of its title as well as its tagline

I think it's clear that Siddharth can't do mass masala films, he is very awkward with those cringey ass dialogues but does his best when the dialogues are more serious and grounded. Where they sound more like an actual conversation rather than making it obvious that it's written for a movie. He has skills for action so maybe a no nonsense action thriller.

I have to say i had no expectation from this film but i enjoyed it thoroughly. The action set pieces especially when the plane went full 360 was impressive.

Actually, yeah. The 360 twist of the plane as the two people are fighting on the roof, which was now down, was pretty cool.
Sagar Ambre and Pushkar Ojha both served as assistant directors on Pathaan, so you could say they've got the action aspects down.

A good movie not promoted well...not sure why..I just went to a mall for some personal work and just happen to catch the movie to kill time..and found it a decent entertainer !!!!
Why promotion?
The question that if the movie is really good or not can not have a single answer, as acc. to me the definition of "Good" varies from person to person. So, if the concept/content of the movie works for you, it's a good movie for you.
The question was not whether the movie is good or bad, that is of course subjective. The question is whether we give a film too much credit if it just exceeds our expectations!

I would really love to see Siddharth in more action films. One with Siddharth Anand at least🔥. Both Siddharths are gonna light the screens on fore once they get together.

Given how well Netflix promotes its shows / films these days, I genuinely think it will be better if many films that fail due to below par marketing should opt for OTT releases than theatre. Would save money and add credibility to the cast and crew!

The marketing of this movie is totally misleading.. I have no idea how they marketed it as from makers of shershaah.. But shershah is directed by Vishnuvardhan
Makers doesn't necessarily mean the director. The assistant directors of Shershaah were directors of Yodha so technically they have the right to use the word "makers"

I was (and still am) waiting for 2 of Dharma movies this year. 'Yodha' and 'Kill'.
I wanted to by hyped about this film but the trailer didn't pump me enough. So maybe I'll skip this.
Let's hope "Kill" will do something awesome.
Idk but I’ve seen this problem with Siddharth Malhotra…he just looks too clean. Like a good boy, proper hairstyle in all scenes, shining skin all the time even with bruises. Idk if it’s the make up ppl or just the costume department mishaps. I felt that even in shershah.

I really enjoyed this, the action was very good and they had nice long cuts of the action sequences because the actors were capable enough. Solid action, thriller in my opinion and the stunt choreography was very good.

I wonder why Sidharth is always humbled while Arjun is massively trolled for their range in acting performance........I think real personalities comes into play sometimes..
hmmm, that's an interesting take. I still think that Sid has a more admirable charming quality which is endearing vs Arjun who in my opinion just has never had it
Highly doubt Arjun could have pulled out role of Sher Shah. Imagine story on Kargil war hero going to the ruins 😂
As much as I agree to the point that Siddharth is overrated mostly because of his recent ‘Shershaah’ venture but in my personal opinion, I feel the reason why people like him more than anyone or at the least more than ‘Arjun Kapoor’ is because Siddharth is more charming than Arjun!! And when I say charming, I don’t just mean the good looks or him being a handsome ‘Munda’ but the fact that somehow Siddharth holds a level of genuineness and innocence!! He definitely has that appeal of being a good human being which attracts people!! Not that Arjun Kapoor is not a good human being or Siddharth is more than a good human being (obviously, because nobody knows them on a personal level) but Siddharth’s eyes has some magic which makes people believe or think at the least that he is a gentleman whereas, Arjun Kapoor might also be a good person but somehow he doesn’t hold that charm!! His eyes doesn’t have that magic!! It seems like in the next snap of a finger he might just fall into deep slumber, literally snoring!!!! Wonder why Arjun Kapoor always seem so sleepy and drowsy 💤!!

Watching a film without any expectations can definitely make movies seem to be better.
However, I believe It doesn't follow the story and direction.. if we have a bad script, it will make the audience drowsy no matter what, same goes with the direction.
I think he would do better with ek villain style movie but with john wicked or extraction style action something like Monkey Man by Dev Patel
It wasn't an evolved story telling... So much potential lost... And references to srk dialogues are annoying and placed at such wrong times...

YODHa Marketing is actually a case study.. they did everything g.. Mid air poster, mid air trailer launch, Comic Book, pub G , Bisleri bottles takeover , Muktiple city tours.. have u been living under a shell? So much marketing they did

After watching d intro of your video, I am like how is it that you can read my mind. I went to the movie with no expectations and was pleasantly surprised to enjoy it. but do i give the credit to the movie or was it bcoz of no expectation from my side. I am not a great fan of Siddharth, but I can see he has worked hard on his acting skills in this movie .
Nice movie..watched it....surprisingly bollywood is doing good scripts that's the reason we are surprised whether our expections were less or movie was good.....in this case movie was really good and no unnecessary dragging and excellent cast....

Watched it today. (Without seeing the trailer).. really enjoyed it right from the beginning. I wanted action, less emotional drama and more action. They delivered! The first set piece, the fights onboard, especially in the second half was crazy good. Happy that a hindi movie did this, we've been wondering why only Hollywood does outrageous action scenes. This was really enjoyable

Sidharth Malhotra is monotonous in every movie. He is not bringing anything new to the table. He has already exhausted all his Trump cards. Following Shershah's success, he has found were the money lies. That's why he is doing back to back nationalist movies now.

Film Yodha is totally absorbing with lots of twist and turns! And it is a big canvas film and should be seen on the big screen for the action stunts to have its full impact ...Siddharth Malhotra is terrific! Tall, handsome and brooding, he is totally convincing as the wronged officer. From the close ups, to his under the pressure glances, to his mastery of high end action, everything about him is mind blowing!....Reminds one of Amitabh Bachchan of Zanzeer...I think by far the best film on plane hijack in India!..Action scenes are first rate...Only one thing is bad, and that is showing Pakistan in a neutral light, in a war or hijack film, is a big disappointment!!! Why does Bollywood show Pakistan in a good light?...If Pakistan was shown in a true negative light, the film would have been a blockbuster!...But this one will not be one...Why is Bollywood whitewashing Pakistan in film after film, when they create trouble of all sorts for India?...Even in Hollywood films of the USA -Soviet Union cold war era, every war film unapologetically showed Russians as the villians...! Why do we shy away from it Pakistan for what they are?

I always look up to siddharth malhotra in general( not so die hard fan) but it's a fact that he is very mediocre. He doesn't explore too much ..always gets appreciation for his good looks but he has very limited range when it comes to acting..
In soty I like him more than vd he was more good looking, charming but when main Tera hero came vd showed his real charm ,comic timing, badlapur where Sid never went beyond after ek villain

Yes, the antagonist dreams of Kashmir has actually reached a point, may be that's why the whole premise of the movie is set in early 2000's when the terrorist activities were quite at peak.
