Being blind folded would be really intimidating. You can’t read body language and what not.
In comparison to equivalent video with girl lead, he was not trying. He was clearly judging by gender and so terrified of it that he barely made an effort. As girl put it "He was boring". If he was so nervous and worried about gender, he should not have signed up for this in the first place.
Because of his terror, he didn't really give them a chance to do anything. That short guy seemed like a good kisser in the other video. Here he was barely allowed to do anything or given a chance so obviously ended up being bad.

The ladies had no problem kissing other ladies, even though they were heterosexual. And that's my point. I could be a little more empathetic, this is true. Like you've pointed out - I have no idea what this guy's background is. And I do sympathize with that. It's in the gay handbook, to respect other people's journeys and the pace at which they wish to embark upon that journey with. And I respect that 'rule'. However, on a personal note, IT'S 2017! The LGBT movement has come so far. And we've accomplished so much. And I'm just not here for watering down the colours in our beautiful rainbow anymore, for anyone. If you're gonna stand with us, then you've gotta show up with all of yourself. My frustration is a lot deeper than with the guys or the video.
