    Very true Sanjay. We get to hear from friends elders about literature be it fiction or non fiction and get informed so much of valuable reading. Like wise as you say we heard a lot about musicians, music, and different pani or methodology followed by each. It’s really endearing to hear such anecdotes from you who have come all the way up now listening to so many musicians and gaining so much knowledge more than you had learnt. Keep going Sanjay with such awesome notes clarified interestingly by you.

    I wish to point out here that Grandaunt of Sanjay, Rukmini Rajagopalan was the disciple of my Grandfather Legend Prof Parur A Sundaram Iyer. She learnt vocal and violin from my Grandfather for 25 years. In fact she learnt the Amba Neelambari song from my Grandfather who was the disciple of Veena Dhanammal. I wish Sanjay should acknowledge my Grandfather who was the Prathama Guru of his family music

    Nice to note that apart from Sanjays RTPs now "on that note" series is also becoming big hit.
    What makes the talk very interesting is the way he imitates singing of past stalwarts and giving them their credit.
    He is talking very well without any negativity or boasting about himself, which makes the talk very pleasant.
    I will be very happy to see him as judge in the carnatic music idol program.

    🙏Dear Sir, Each Episode of "On That Note" is a Beautiful Poem Sir. Very interesting to know about so many great personalities in the Carnatic Music arena. And quite heartening to see you admiring every one of them. It's astounding to note that you have been a voracious reader, a voracious listener and retaining everything in your Memory Disc Sir. U R so candid in expressing your Delight in getting appreciations from so many legends which never sounds like trumpeting up yourselves, but only sounds as a sharing exercise exhibiting your genuine joy. We could very much feel it Sir in the way you have been expressing. And you have been sharing with us about so many personalities ranging from Well known Legend Bhishmar Semmangudi Srinivasa Iyer to Comparatively Less Known Musicians (Less Known only for us) like Sembanaar Kovil Sri Vaidyanathan, Vyasarpadi Sri Kothandaraman, etc. Taking a complete bow to both your Vidwat and Modesty and also to your ability to go thru various spectrums & digest & retain them in your memory and sharing them all with us too. 🙏 Please Preserve all these episodes as they form an autobiography. Looking forward to the pleasure of listening to your many more Reminiscences. Excited listening to those short pieces of Thoadi & Bhairavi / Mukhari (?) sung by you. 🙏

    Is that your conversation was also in Brahmin slange with all.I mean even will they reply in Brahmin slange. Music is a common field.Why can't you use normal Tamil slange to explain.I am not against Brahmin ,i am adherent fan of carnatic music and follow hindu mythology .It makes to feel that a particular team alone is solo properity for carnatic music.Its not like that.Also You give respect to particular people alone by saying mama and Amma.But other names you just saying without prefix ,atleast Mr. As speak in English this won't be a big deal.

      Many long back had that slang no offense to that .they were used to that each has its own slang which they take from thir ancestors nothing wrong in that

    • @mlaks6586
      @mlaks6586 Před rokem +3

      Every region has a slang in TN, do you complain ...if they talk in that slang,, you don't right ? Think about it why...it's of because a innate competition that this group is doing well ...in a good sense it's ok ..it cannot turn to a complaint....2nd point is, carnatic music requires years of hard work and dedication, other groups don't dedicate for this art.. remember no one is excluding them - people like Jesudas who dedicated themselves have excelled. So he is a tall example other groups can emulate and stop complaining.

      Do you stop watching American movies when they speak in American English ? Even closer home , do you stop watching Tamil movies with various slangs? Take the content of the art and stop complaining about the form. If you cannot, please don't watch.
