Serious question: Does it actually help the strike if you boycott it? I mean if you don't have Netflix, obviously don't get it. But under the assumption that you have Netflix, wouldn't it be better for One Piece to go through the roof and put more presure on Netflix to cave, so they can get the next season out?
@@benediktmathes2528 the messaging on that matter has been really inconsistent - on the one hand, the unions have asked content creators not to cover struck works, but on the other, they've asked general audience members not to engage in any kind of boycott. You'd think the rationale for either of these requests would invalidate the other.

The reason why Bellemere admitted to having the kids instead of running away was because of Nami. It was because Nami was questioning their familly relations and Bellemere was adamant they were a family.
The last thing she wanted to do was to help cement Nami's feelings about their familly.
Thats the way I saw it.

I'd love to see more "review arcs" between you two in the near future. Not only shounen/mainstream animes but also other genres to offer more variations. And who knows Amber sees a whole Anime instead of reading it.

I'm surprised he liked Luffy if he watched the Dub. Most people find Dub Luffy annoying. I'm glad he was able to appreciate the character regardless.
Sanji is able to kick hard is because he was raised by Red Feet Zeff. That man is famous for his powerful kicks. AND, chef values their hands for cooking and thus don't want to use them for fighting. That is why they use kicks for fighting.

Then its followed up by the walk to arlong park. Watching the crew all head walk in a line was so damn hype, it was the first time where I just jumped out of my seat and start pumping my fist.

The Arlong Arc scene got me too
Bell-mere didnn't try to run away cause from her experience as a marine she knew the fishmen would go after the ships and boats first so running away wasn't an option, also she knew about the corruption of the marines so she knew she couldn't count on reinforcements arriving within the next month and if Nami or Nojiko got spotted in that month at any time they'd die.
Bellamere couldn’t run away with Nami and Nojiko because the Arlington pirates destroyed all the ports and boats before they invaded. That’s why Bellamere did that.

Something tells us you haven't experienced the video format of the greatest story being told. The anime brings it, with its music, its voices, its gags. You just don't read it. The sound effects are implied. The DON! can only be done justice. So in order to get deeper in with its iceberg, perhaps you need to try it out. With your honest, raw, reaction documented, no less
Also, there's something about your brother's answers that tells us that he's bound to experience the world changing tale in all its gut-wrenching, ugly-crying, thankful-to-be-alive-to-experience fantastically unworldly multidimensional realism glory in its base form, probably more than enough to displace the other 2 in the Big 3.

pro tip for your brother: there's a project called one pace that edits down the filler stuff and fixes the pacing to be more enjoyable, it's probably a better way to watch the anime especially post-timeskip, i think they have the dub too
Early naruto is typically more loved than One Piece. Your brother will love Op!

Think about it like this.....Luffy's fruit doesn't really give him any extra strength, just more durability. So all of Luffy's strength comes from a prior lifestyle that I won't get into. Also there is no real power scaling in One Piece because Oda thinks that ruins a good story if you focus too much on power scaling. Sanji basically grew up in a waffle house where they are constantly getting attacked by pirates, you really think fighting all your life isn't gonna make you strong? the power scaling is their lifestyles. Zoro didn't even seriously fight anyone until he left his village, he was just training his whole childhood while Sanji was fending off pirates and taking beatings from Zeff.

Hey Amber, how has it been. I hope you're having a wonderful Monday. It is amazing that you have got your brother on here as a guest. You, too, are both hilarious. I wouldn't mind you two doing a stream together someday. You two interaction reminds me of my relationship with my sister, whom I have a great and wonderful sibling bond with. Who I as well got her into anime. In which she watched her very first which is Death Note. In which she enjoyed.
It was great to hear your brother take on One Piece when it comes to the anime. Because that's where I started. And I will say the acting and music are so on point. But base off of his personality. I can see why he loves Luffy. Him and Luffy has that smile. As well do you. I agree that pacing can be difficult. But once you get get to Arlong Park. It is where the story picks up. Even tho the earlier is a still great as it established the Strawhats to who they're and what role that their gonna play later on in the story as they travel with Luffy to the Grandline. Your brother take on Buggy is pretty interesting. The Buggy and Frieza comparison is spot on. I agree with him on Kuro being a great villain.
The power scaling in One Piece can be hard to understand. But what I like about the Strawhat crew is Luffy, Zoro and Sanji are the power house of the crew. You expect to have on the front line of a battle. To face the tougher enemies. And Nami, Usopp and Chopper are the support characters who assist the heavy hitters (Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji) with the weak minor enemies. And last Robin, Franky and Brook are the middle where they're the 2nd strongest unit If the powerhouse characters(Luffy, Zoro and Sanji) isn't around. They will step up to the plate. But anyway this a fun video and I hope you do more with your brother. But anyway I hope you and your brother and the rest if your loved ones have a lovely day. Although for future videos, it may be better to talk about things chronologically, especially as the arcs get bigger. That way it's harder to forget to talk about certain scenes/topics you would want to mention.

I really needed that one piece live action, I started reading one piece at marineford and everytime i try to read earlier arcs my eyes hurt seeing the drawing style so I skipped the whole east blue arc and I never knew the stories about nami and usopp (the only earlier arc I could stand was sanji's) so for me even though I know everything about post thriller bark arc the live action made me discover the earlier stories in way I could digest. Since I skipped baroque works and alabasta arc I'm hoping they will go there in the 2nd season.

The thing that kind of bothers me about first time One Piece viewers/readers is that everyone loves Buggy right off the bat but they think Usopp is annoying at first... I personally think Buggy is just annoying and Usopp is the real comedian lol

I'm sorry to inform your brother, but the anime's pacing get's so so much worse later on. Hence why the One Pace edit exists, but I still think the best way to experience the series is the manga while using the anime as a supplement to look up fights and major scenes.

I was introduced to One Piece anime many years ago through my brother. (Original voice cast namely sub.) After Marinford is when I took up the manga and I am following both. (I am allergic to dub by the way.) I think if you want to experience the best of One Piece then watch (sub) and read it.
