She's an Original Gangster, and was probably the very first Trx4 Bronco on CZcams, to be modified such as it was.😊
This truck had all kinds of CZcams Firsts, First to get unboxed, First to have a Roof Basket, First to have a set of LEDs "before Traxxas had a set for it" And it's safe to say that "MyTrickRC" stole that idea from my channel,🤔 No B.S.😕 They copied my LEDs to a tee, exact same design,🤔😕
Anyways... First to be custom painted, First to have One-Off custom wheels, First to have One-off Custom cut tires, First to have Traxxas brand led lights, and I'm sure that there's a few more that I forgot about...😂 lol
This trucks had a lot of CZcams Firsts! 😊👍
But since my channel is low on the CZcams pole, Not to many people know about this truck.☹️
Still have it... And it still looks basically the same, except that it's got years of Trail Rash on it.😂👍 lol

got me the Hellas as well, but could not get them as bright 🤔 any ideas? plugged them in the lightkit supply in the body and then to the power supply, but even with the jumper in, they wont get brighter as the other LEDs do... 🤷♂️
Well if you have a aftermarket light bar, or lights, hooked into the Traxxas led power supply,
Your most likely not getting enough voltage for your lights, Traxxas LEDs are Low voltage LEDs,🤔
So if you want to get power for your after market lights, and you want to power it off of the truck, and not a separate battery pack,
Here's what you are going to need;
#1. A simple on/off switch with Jst Connector's
#2. A Jst "Y" connector, with two females, and one male connector,
#3. One male Jst Connector to get soldiered on to your light string
#4. One small piece of double sided tape
Now all you need to do is unplug the male Jst Connector that goes between the ESC, and the Traxxas led power supply,
Next; plug the Jst "Y" connector in between the ESC male Jst Connector, and the Traxxas led power supplies female Jst connector,
Next; plug the Male Jst Connector from the on/off switch, into the other female Jst connector that's on the "Y" Connector,
Next; plug the Male Jst Connector coming from your aftermarket LEDs into the Female Jst connector on the other side of the on/off switch,
Next; find a Convenient place to put the on/off switch, I have my switches stuck to the driver side inner fender on the inside of the vehicle, just in front of the ESC, they are vertically mounted on the inner fender, close to the outside edge, that way it's easy to reach in with a finger to turn the lights on, or off,😁👍

I already thought about getting it right out of the receiver box... the knot in my head was that if you plug in the jumper (green) in the trx light kit, there should be a difference because it changes from 3 to 7 volts... will try it tonight, thanks! subbed 😎🤩

Your definitely gonna love that truck,Fyi the only drawback that I've found with it,is the stock steering servo,they are notorious for having a short life,but the rest of the truck, and servos are outstanding,
I replaced the steering servos on my Bronco's with a Savox Sw 1210sg waterproof servo,you will also need a 6 inch servo wire extension too reach the trx4's receiver box with that particular servo,but that servo is a beast,and will definitely treat you well,
"Fyi" I order those Savox servos from Amain Hobbies.com 👍

I actually only have one Bronco,the Red Bronco belongs to my Brother,
But I definitely wouldn't be opposed too another one with a custom painted body lol
The trx4's are quickly moving up my list of favorite RC's,my trusty TF2 is currently at the top of the list,mainly because of its raw toughness,but the TRX4 Bronco is right there knocking at the door,I've put my mighty TF2 thru Hell,and it has been a total Champion,not sure if the Trx4's could handle the same abuse as the Trail Finder,time will tell.

It should,I don't see why it wouldn't work,I even used one on the RedCat Gen 8 Scout,😊
As a matter of fact,the Scout Roof Basket install even has a complete "how too" video,which is very similar too the Bronco as far as what mods were made too the roof basket,and the exact same mounting technique,I may even have a link too the scout video in this videos description area.😊

As long as the new bumper has the two long mounting posts,you should be okay,
The round posts will fit in the square slots,although you might end up with some very slight,and fractional,up & down movement,depending on how far they are inserted into the mount,My after market bumpers have a slight wiggle if you were too pull directly up on it like you were mad at it,But otherwise it's not noticeable,😊

I think it's listed as a "roof Basket" instead of a roof rack,😕 go figure lol,
I got on their site and scrolled through trx4 parts until I found it,it took a few minutes lol, and the rack is around 12 dollars if I remember correctly,

how do you have the light bar wired up? could you show me
I had it wired through a basic Tamiya on/off switch,going to a "4 AA" battery pack,
I believe that I also did a video on the process last year,if you scroll through my videos,you should be able to find it,
I featured the Red Bronco in the video.
The most recent Bronco led install video also features the Red Bronco,I was installing a Traxxas led kit in that video,
So you will need to scroll down through quite a few videos.😕
Ultimately though,if you're running a 3 channel radio,you can plug the light bar into the third channel,and you would be able too not only power it,but it would also give you the ability to toggle through all of the light bar's settings,
Another option;if you don't have a third channel,and you don't care about having a on/off switch,you could get a "two into one" servo wire splitter,plug the splitter into channel 1,which is for your steering servo,then plug the servo into the splitter,along with the light bar,You would be basically stealing some power from the steering servo too power the lights,
Although I personally would rather run the lights on a separate battery,vs robbing power from a servo,😕

Hmm... I kinda thought that I said where it was from in the video,😕 But in case I forgot to mention it, It's a stock Roof Basket from a Trx4 Defender, that I modified slightly, in order to make it fit correctly.😁
If you decide to look for one for yourself, Search "Traxxas Trx4 Defender Roof Basket" if you type in Roof Rack you will come up dry, "Roof Basket" is the Key Word.😊👍

"A-main Hobbies",it's a Traxxas Land Rover roof rack,
And it was kinda tough too find on their parts page,
But if you go to the parts search page,type in; Traxxas Defender Roof Basket it will pop right up,
If you type in roof rack you'll never find it,
Don't qoute me,but I believe it was around twelve dollars U.S.
You will also need "six" 24 or 26 mm screws,
washers,and lock nuts,
Along with "six" spacers to go between the rack,and the roof,
I used some shock end link ball joints for spacers,

Those are the Stock Chrome Plastic Wheel's that the Trx4 Bronco came with, Same thing with the tires.

I ordered my rack from Amain Hobbies,it was labelled under "TRX4 Defender Roof Basket"
