  • Businessman and philanthropist TV Mohandas Pai said in Bengaluru, 'if you want to promote Kannadigas for jobs, spend more money on higher education. Give training to them. Spend more money on skill development. Spend more money on internships, spend more money on apprenticeship programs. So they all become skilled. Not like this. What are you trying to achieve by this?'

      Agreed this is bad policy, but there are no mass migration from Karnataka to these state now. And Karnataka people who went there have integrated well, learnt local languages and give utmost respect to both their janmabhoomi and karmabhoomi (example Mangloreans in Mumbai). Again there are communities in Karnataka like Marwaris who are doing business from generations and have integrated well. I have not seen any hatred towards them. But come to Bangalore and see the migrants working in both high paying IT, Bank jobs or laborers/watchmen/factory workers. The amount of arrogance and disrespect they hold towards local language and local people is shocking. Leave learning Kannada, but they mock at it at every chance they get. The pride they have about their "fair skin", "national language" "traffic free villages", makes the local think - why the heck are you coming here then. So do not compare the Kannada community outside with the arrogant migrants in Blr.

      Being locals we are not getting jobs in the private companies, even with necessary eligibility criteria. Peoples from others state dominate the scene in private companies with Kannadigas number very meagre. What good is a company in a state where it does not provide employment for the locals. Coming to the constitutional question of legislative jurisdiction, agreed state lacks the power to make laws regarding fixing the place of birth for job criteria. But remember Kannada state agreed to stay with the union. If Kannadiga interest are threatened with existential threat in their own state, that result in depriving of their livelihood, then it’s high time for Kannadigas to ask for separate nation, where they can legislate on the place of birth to fix as a criteria for employment. so please know the pain of Kannada guys who are finding it difficult to get a job in their own state. The cost of other peoples. Can you imagine these things happen in the states like UP Bihar, West Bengal Tamil Nadu no, you cannot because because Kannadigas have authoritative attitude towards other fellow Indians. This Pai or Muzmdar shaw are nothing to do with Karnataka or Kannadigas. In fact after being beneficiary of Karnataka, they commit fraud on locals. Shame. I guess he explained clearly, he said that any govt. must aim for better education and skill of their state and create an upper hand through merit instead by providing safety nets through reservations.
      Reservations like these only promote complacency and people may feel good in the short term because they got jobs, but in the long run the business will stop getting contracts as the quality of work would have dropped.
      It's a well known fact if you get job security as guaranteed then a large chuck of people become complacent. As we usually see in the case of govt officers most of the time, even though there are a few who work as hard as possible too.

Shouldn't i move out of Bangalore to other states where i am selling more(by your logic)???

    First stop the entry of outsiders into Karnataka. Outsider works for less so Kannadiga will lose out on that job. Mark my words.

    • @pratplan
      @pratplan Před měsícem +4

      Yes I really like this idea, Karnataka must be declared as a nation if they feel they need state specific policies and only entry through visa must be allowed.
      Also, any central govt. Grants, budgets or nation wide schemes must be stopped immediately, any highways that were created by NHAI must charge emi to Karnataka from the point it becomes a nation. Existing outsiders shall leave the state before the nation deceleration date and apply for a work permit if they still want to continue working.
      These are some of the high level steps that are required to stop entry of outsiders legally.
      So before adding some comments somewhere atleast think once.
      Just for your reference and a little more basic conceptual building.
      Raj Thackeray had once tried this outsider non sense business for UP and Bihar Business, and Maharashtra lost 17000 cr of business on a daily basis for 10 days.
      And we all know how big Mr. Raj Thackeray is today.
      So some food for thought for you.

      @@pratplan every person must live and work in his own state that way all locals will get jobs in their respective areas and zones. If outsider comes and takes job of local and local remains unemployed it leads to jealousy and bitterness and ultimately clash arises. You stay in your house and we stay in our house that way we respect each other and no law and order problem arises its simple to understand if common sense is present. Nothing complex about this theory. Your state govt should solve your unemployment issues and not offset it to the head and neck of some other state down south. If you don't agree with this basic then you are definitely a trouble monger looking for disputes day in and day out. This is with respect to employment tourism is okay but jobs of every area should go to its own locals. Local grassroot unemployment can be solved only locally.
