Relax people, Parov has had many albums in which a pair of songs don't really sound like swing at all and then he bombards the rest of the album with his signature sound. His last album wasn't swing, more like electroblues but there was his originality in it and it did have a pair of much more pop oriented songs. The Princess had two parts, one, much more experimental and for artistical exploration, and the other delivering the swing sound that's irresistible to dance to. We wait till the entire album is released, if it's all like this then we riot

I understand people saying they miss Electroswing Parov, but Parov is not only Electro cmon, he is a master in Electro whatever the style he does, and he tries every style, even Pop Electro. Although this is more Pop Style, we can still get Parov's touch.
If you keep thinking that Parov style is Electroswing ... listen to Shine or Seven and Storm Album ...

What in the world yall??? Parov didn't stop making electro swing, but don't you all get tired of the same old genre over and over again?
Parov Stelar is awesome because he is good at a lot of different stuff. His earliest albums were jazz and hip hop. He only started doing electro swing by his 3rd album. In fact, only half of his stuff anyways is actually electro swing. Some of it is pop and a lot of it is oldies fusion and jazz fusion.
I like this song a lot and I hope he continues to do grest new music in addition to electro swing.

Jeez, so many doubters. I may be the first comment I've seen that doesn't exaggerate by saying the vast majority of swing fans seem really displeased by this song. Which is to say, a good chunk of Stelar's fanbase. Enough so that most of them feel this isn't really his music, that he made a disappointing single. Well, here's what I have to say...

I mean, have you ever _listened_ to a Parov Stelar piece? Really listened and was able to pick out what made him unique? Now, I'll admit: much like film or literature, music can have vastly different perspectives depending on who's listening. A happy, child-like song can seem haunting in a broken music box. Lyrics can twist the meaning and give you a unique feeling on every new hearing. Even first viewings can influence how we envision a song, whether that be a personal or popular instance. Thing about *good* artists though is that no matter the perspective, they always seem to weave a bit of themselves into each song, which gives each song its own unique, yet slightly familiar, feel. Most of us call this "style" for short.
The thing about Parov is it wasn't the electro swing that drew me in. Sure, I enjoyed the genre and he somewhat introduced me to it in the first place. But there's plenty of artists I've heard that aren't played on repeat in my playlists. There's plenty of electro swing I could name that doesn't have at least 50 playthroughs like Catgroove does, or Mojo Radio Gang. No, the genres he delved into is not the reason he's one of my favorite artists.
It's because of his remix strategy. Go back to his old songs and listen to them on loop. The more you listen, the more you begin to notice certain patterns. He stays away from modern sounds like beat drops and blaring electricity. He creates pieces that can be recreated by old-fashioned musicians and small-town bands. He leans on the scratchy, faded filter of old gramophones and lets the nostalgic singers be the star of the piece. And who could forget the beat that pulls everything together? Basically, I see the goal of each song is to give you a nostalgic earworm, a song that you tap your foot to unconsciously when you want to listen to music with your parents. A tribute to the previous Music Age that upgrades the beat.
*That's* what makes his music unique: because much like the Beatles, Bob Marley, Electric Light Orchestra and many other iconic artists, he doesn't target just one audience. He seeks to _combine_ audiences, make music that the young and old can enjoy and relate with equally. His electro swing combines old dance tunes with an electric jolt, remixing them to be more energetic for the younger fans. This song is a great example of this strategy. Many people brought up that it sounded like a traditional pop song. Perhaps that was...intentional? Don't know about you, but the idea of a small, worker bee making her way to the top throne with a style of '70s swing sounds pretty awesome for a song, and familiar.
This is a Parov Stelar song, 100%. I can sense his fingerprints all over it. Old-fashioned tunes, combining genres, an incredibly uncomfortable earworm to remove and most of all, a song that connects to the teenager AND their boomer-era parents. If anyone thinks otherwise and still believes this isn't Parov Stelar, they're a fan of electro swing, not the artist himself.
